Meet the Pirates

Chapter 8

After they were inside the horse carriage, Alice and the others inevitably asked Mateo in confusion."Why did you release them? and also give them food?".

Mateo then replied with a smile."One day they'll be useful to me".

After hearing that they no longer asked Mateo.

They continued to travel, after several days of travelling by horse carriage, they finally arrived at the port of the ship.

To get to the capital, they had to use a boat to cross the river.

Inside the ship they saw many adventurers who were traveling to the capital.

Tasya then asked one of them."Hey, are you guys going to the capital, too?".

"Yes". The adventurer answered briefly.

"What are you going to do in the capital?". Tasya asked curiously.

Then the adventurer answered briefly."Of course we'll be in the dragon hunt".

"Wow, you guys want to join the dragon hunt?". Tasya asked enthusiastically.

"Yes, I heard that the kingdom will give you a pretty big gift". The adventurer answered.

The adventurer then asked Tasya."Are you going to join the dragon hunt?".

"We're currently escorting merchants to the capital, but after that I'll probably come along, but I don't know what about them". Tasya explained to the adventurer.

.Tasya then introduced herself. "Oh, meet me Tasya".

"I'm Brock". Brock answered briefly.

They continued to talk, without getting tired.

After half a month on the ship, they were only up to half the journey.

They arrived at the block by a horde of pirates, the pirate ship then confronted the ship they were riding.

The pirate captain then stood at the bow of the ship and shouted."GIVE UP ALL YOUR VALUABLES, OR YOU'LL DIE".

After hearing that the adventurers on the ship became angry.

After seeing the people on the ship unwilling to surrender, the pirate captain then had his men fire cannons at the ship.

*Booom*

The cannonball slid towards the ship Mateo and the others were on.

But before the bullet hit the ship, someone used his wind magic to keep the bullet from hitting the ship.

Wind Magic: Wind Blow!

*Swoosh*

The wind blew and threw the cannonball into the water.

"Come down there and use your sword and magic techniques.

"Horyaa" "Horyaa"

the pirates then disembarked from their ship and headed to the ship Mateo was on.

*Clang***clang*

The clashing sound of the sword rang out, Mateo just kept silent while closing his eyes.

Meanwhile the others continued to fight with all their might.

There were many casualties from both sides.

Then there was a pirate who attacked Mateo, but Mateo just slashed his sword casually, and his slash hit the pirate's neck and he died instantly.

The fight continued into the night, but the fight was not as intense during the day as they were all exhausted.

The captain of the ship who saw this immediately intervened and he pointed towards Mateo."I've seen you just keep quiet, so I'll challenge you to fight with me".

"You sure want to challenge me". Mateo said with a play.

"Of course, why would I be afraid to face a weakling like you". The pirate captain said arrogantly.

"Alright, then I will be your opponent" Mateo said as he pulled out his sword.

After that Mateo immediately drew his sword and thrust his sword towards the pirate captain.

*Suuut*

Instantly the sword immediately pierced the heart of the pirate captain, he died instantly before he could do anything.

Mateo then said as he cleaned his sword."Be wise in choosing the opponent in your next life".

When the pirates saw their captain dead in an instant, they immediately panicked and ran towards their ship to save themselves.

The adventurers did not remain silent after seeing the pirates running, they then tried to kill them all.

But there are still some who managed to escape with his ship.

Mateo could have killed them all, only he was too lazy to do that.

After the battle was over the adventurers then cleared the former battle earlier, and the Healing Magic users also healed some injured adventurers.

"Wow I didn't think you'd be this great". Alice said to Mateo excitedly.

"I thought you were just a little stronger than me". Added.

"Trust me, I'm much stronger than you". Mateo said casually.

"Someday I'll catch up with you". Alice said with complete confidence.

"Try if you can". Mateo said briefly.

That way they then rested because of fatigue due to the long battle earlier.
