Chapter 2

After entering the inn, they were greeted by a beautiful woman who looked like Mia.

The woman then greeted Mia."Whose mother is this?".The woman asked.

"This is Mateo, he saved that mother from the thugs".Mia explained.

Then the woman thanked Mateo."Thank you for saving my mother".

"It's okay, I'm also grateful that your mother let me rest here". Mateo replied politely.

Mia then introduces Mateo to her son." Mateo, this is my son Mira, you guys seem to look the same age".

"It's nice to meet you". Mateo greeted Mira.

Mira then said hello."It's nice to meet you too".

After that Mia brought Mateo to her room, she then returned after delivering Mateo.

"Beautiful mom, I think I'll try them up my bed later". Mateo said to himself with a smile.

In the morning Mateo woke up and he then came out of his room, outside he saw Mia preparing food.

Mia then noticed Mateo coming, then she said."Wait a minute, I'll prepare some food for our breakfast".

"Let me help you". Mateo then walked towards Mia and helped lift the prepared cook to the table.

"Sorry to trouble you". Mia said politely.

"It's okay". Mateo.

Mateo then noticed that there was no one in the audience, so she asked Mia."Why is there no one in this inn?".

"We rarely have customers, because most of the adventurers in this city are people in this city as well". Mia answered while bringing the cooked food to the table.

Mia then wakes up Mira, and after that the three of them eat together.

At the adventurer test site, there were already many people gathered to conduct the test including Mateo.

After a while entered a man with a burly body, the man then said."My name is Kevin, I'll be the one to test you in sword technique". His shouting.

He then called all the test takers one by one, after a while it was time for Mateo to take the test.

"Mateo". Call Kevin.

"Yes". Mateo answered briefly.

Then he took out a wooden sword and prepared to fight.

Mateo takes a swipe and attacks Kevin using a bit of his strength.

The sound of clashing wooden swords rang out, they then similarly retreated a few steps back.

"Lumayan you're a young man too". Kevin said with passion.

He then attacked Mateo at full speed.

Mateo who saw it immediately mebghindar, and after that he counterattacked.

Mateo then used a hint of his speed, and the instant he appeared next to Kevin, Mateo then slashed his wooden sword towards Kevin.

The wooden sword hit Kevin's body, and he immediately took a few steps back.

Kevin then said with excitement."Good young man, I'm very confident in your skill in sword technique".

Then he continued."Well enough to get here just test from me, you will be given a break for half an hour, then after that there will be someone who will test you in magic".

When Mateo was resting, a woman approached him.

The woman then said."Hey how can you be that great when we're still that old?".

"Of course, keep practicing". Mateo replied casually.

"Your name is Mateo, right? My name is Alice, will you make a party with me after we've officially become adventurers?". Alice said excitedly.

Mateo then answered him casually."I'll think about it first".

"Alright I've decided that we'll make a party together". Alice said excitedly.

"Hey I haven't agreed to it". Mateo said with a bitter smile.

After a while, came a beautiful elf woman wearing a black robe and holding a staff in her right hand, she had long ears, sky-blue eyes, and long white hair.

The elf then introduced himself in a cold voice."My name is Elena, I'm gonna get you guys in magic".

Elena then called the test takers one by one, then she called Alice.

"lice". Elena called out in a cold voice.

"Yes". Alice then tries her magic by attacking the target in front.

Water Magic: Water Arrow!

An arrow made of water suddenly appeared out of thin air, the arrow then shot towards the target.

*Syeeet*

The arrow then hits the middle of the target.

Elena then slightly amazed and said."Nicely done".

"Next is Mateo". Elena called out in a cold voice.

"Yes". Mateo answered briefly.

Mateo then stood where Alice was standing earlier and aimed at the target.

Fire Magic: Fire Ball!

*Wuss*

The fireball suddenly appeared in thin air and flew towards the target and *Boom*, The ball of fire immediately destroyed the target to the point of a puck.

Elena then smiled slightly and said."Good, just get here for my test, and Anne will tell you your Ranking".

Elena then walked out of the room.

Why would Mateo be able to use Fire Magic?, Actually Mateo could use all kinds of Magic, but Black Magic was the most powerful.
