Time passed quickly, a week had passed since Mateo became an Adventurer, within a week Mateo had also managed to cure Layla's illness, and now Layla and Nana were helping out at Mia's inn.

Today Mateo will escort a merchant to the royal capital, the city of Amber, the Kingdom of Fred.

In the city square there were already 3 people gathered 2 women and 1 man, Mateo knew one of the women, and he was, Yes the woman was Alice who took the adventurer test on the same day as Mateo.

After seeing Mateo get there, Alice immediately approached him and said."I can't believe the other one is you Mateo."

After a while came several merchant carts and an empty horse carriage.

It turned out that the merchant they were going to control this time was Andrew.

In the car they introduced themselves.

"Why don't they just use the Knights from the kingdom?". Alice asked in confusion.

Tasya then said."I don't know either, but according to rumors they're in preparation for war with the Valos kingdom".

"War?". Alice asked back.

"Yes, according to rumors they will fight for the city of Stone which is on the border to the two sides of the kingdom". Tasha answered Alice.

"Is there anything in the stone city so extraordinary that the two kingdoms fought each other to fight over it?". Alice asked back.

"According to the rumors I heard there the adventurers found an ancient dungeon, and inside were many ancient weapons and items". Tasha answered patiently.

Mateo who heard that immediately opened his eyes, and said to himself."Hmm, looks like this is gonna be interesting".

When they were busy talking, suddenly a voice came from outside.

"Stop" shouted someone.

Outside was a group of bandits who blocked the entourage to loot merchandise.

Mateo and the others got out of their horse carriage and advanced to face them.

"What an arrogant bandit". John said furiously.

"You guys are just weak adventurers there's no way you can face me". The bandit leader said arrogantly.

John who heard that was immediately angry and pulled out his sword while saying."I'll break your arrogance myself".

John then slashed his sword towards the Bandit Leader.

*Clang*

The sound of two clashing swords rang out.

They then attacked each other, John continued to slash his sword at the bandit Leader, but the bandit leader was also able to fend it off.

The bandit leader then slashed his sword towards John.

"DIE THE BASTARD"

The sword then managed to hit a bit of John's stomach.

*Aahh*

John grimaced in pain, he then exerted all his ability to slash at the bandit leader.

John moved at full speed towards the bandit leader, immediately John's body only left a shadow and he suddenly appeared next to the bandit leader.

The bandit leader then shouted in pain.

Meanwhile on the other hand, Mateo, Alice, and Tasya had already managed to defeat all of the bandit Leader's men.

John and the bandit leader continued to fight and until finally they were the same as they could not move their bodies anymore.

Mateo then approached the bandit leader and said."What's your name, and why are you bandits?".

The bandit leader then looked towards Mateo and said."Why do you ask me like that, kill me because I've lost, and I beg you to let go of all my subordinates".

"I'm gonna set you all free, just so you wanna tell me". Mateo said firmly.

The bandit leader then said."My name is Antonio, and we were forced to become bandits because in our village there was no food left to eat".

Mateo then said."I'll set you free and give you food, provided you promise me that one day I'll need you, you'll all help me".

"I promise you'll give us food". Antonio said really.

Mateo then frees them all, and buys some food from Andrew to give to Antonio and his subordinates.

"Thank you Boss, we'll always remember your kindness". Antonio and his men said simultaneously.

Mateo and the others then continued their journey.
