15. Exercises 3

Leonardo opened his eyes slowly. When his eyes opened perfectly he looked towards the three people who looked very familiar to him.

'Who? oh.. Lily, Razor.. And the girl is.' That's what happened when he woke up. He nodded and rubbed his eyes. Due to the constant exhausting training mana makes Leonardo become exhausted.

"What's your good sleep, Senior?" Razor asked and approached Leonardo.

"..Yeah, that's how it is.."

Leonardo stopped his words. He focused on looking at the two girls behind Razor.

"Why are you guys here? Well, whatever it is I'm grateful you're safe."

After the incident at the restaurant a few days ago. The three of them had become fugitives, and almost the entire citizens were looking for the whereabouts of these three people. Even if someone catches one of them, they will get a prize in the form of money.

I don't know who shared the fugitive posture, but whatever it was Leonardo was grateful that his two friends were fine. He was afraid yesterday that something would happen to them.

"Yes, because of Monika's idea that suggested wearing sunglasses and masks we managed to survive."

'Wait a minute, so that's the girl's idea.' Thought Razor, she didn't expect that the silly outfit came from the girl she thought was feminine.

Meanwhile, Leonardo put on a face full of questions when he heard the name 'Monika.' He of course did not know that the girl he saved a few days ago was now named Monika.

As if aware of his confusion. Lily opened her mouth and explained the situation.

"Monika is the girl you saved yesterday. "

"Let's not hide Monika and come out!"

With her small body Monika hiding behind Lily, she felt very guilty about what happened. He thought that the reason why they became fugitives was because of his fault, when no one thought like that.

Monika ventured to show her nose stem, she really felt guilty by what had happened so she planned to apologize.

Monika inhaled a deep breath, she lowered her head. His heart began to tremble violently for fear of imagining what Leonardo would do after this.

"Sorry Mr. Leonardo's all sala-"

"No need to apologize Monika!" A relaxed and soothing answer came out of Leonardo's mouth. It was a simple sentence, but Hearing the answer made Lily's heart warm.

He lifted his head and shed tears. He did not expect to hear such an answer from Leonardo. Monika thought Leonardo would beat her, or hate her. But the thought was gone, because he finally realized this person was different from the people he had met before. Neither he nor Lily would have done anything cruel to him.

"... And also it is my wish, if I let someone oppressed in plain sight and I do nothing, maybe I can curse myself.."

Leonardo continued the speech just now with a tone that could calm anyone who listened.

Although Leonardo is still leaning and looks sleepy, but the eyes of Leonardo really calm the heart of Monika. And not stopping in his eyes, even the speech managed to warm Monika's heart once again.

Monika's tears were getting broken, she could not contain the fluid in her eyes. But these were not the tears she used to shed for enduring the pain of torment, yet these were tears of happiness.

Monika raised her lips. He smiled sincerely from the bottom of his heart. Monika had never before displayed such a sweet smile. Leonardo and Lily were the first to smile. With a smile and tears dripping down he looked at Leonardo happily. Monika's face this time looks very sweet.

"Thank you."

Leonardo replied with a small smile. He was actually moved, but Leonardo himself was not very good at describing emotions.

As for Lily, she was seen shedding tears. This was the first time for her to see Monika smiling sweetly. Lily was so moved. Without a second thought Lily hugged Monika's small body from behind. He rubbed his face with Monika's face.

".. Aa. Monica.. I was so moved, you can finally smile like that... L'm... I'm really grateful.." Lily cried even more and strengthened the embrace.

"Miss Lily, tight.. Please don't be too tight!" Monika's breath was getting breathless. His smiling face was now fading and turning blue from the claustrophobic.

Lily opened her eyes wide, she stared at the claustrophobic girl and took off her embrace. He scratched his back hair and closed his eyes.

"Sorry, I'm too tight, hehe."

Monika shook her head, she didn't care much about it. Lily smiled more and more, she wiped away the tears that were still flowing in Monika's eyes.

"..Monika, you don't have to call me 'Miss' call me Lily okay? And now it's a friend." Lily continued to wipe Monika's tears gently, she smiled warmly at him.

" Friends?"

Lily nodded her head. "Yes, we are friends!" Lily stopped the tear wiping activity and changed into holding Monika's hand. Lily's hand was warm. "Whatever happens to us is a friend, I won't hate you."

Monika's tears once again broke. He had never before considered him a 'Friend" run friend even he was always treated inhumanely, of course he felt very moved. She really had some respect for Lily now, because she was the first one who would accept her for who she was.

No he now even realizes not just Lily, but the man named Razor whom he's met for the first time, and Leonardo. All those who were here were the first to make him feel comfortable and treated like a normal human being rather than as a slave.

"... Don't cry Monika!.." Lily said softly and calmly, but the crying did not stop.

Lily racked her brain to figure out how to stop Monika from crying and she finally came up with an idea.

".. Monica. If you don't stop crying.. I'll tickle your stomach." Lily smiled seductively, she had already put up a swing to do the activity.

"Wait for berhe-"

Without waiting for long Lily lunged at Monika's body. He tickled Monika's stomach, making her laugh amusedly even to let out tears because of the results of the laugh.

Lily also smiled broadly as she tickled Monika's stomach, she got more excited and made Monika laugh more.

"...Lily. haha.. Stop over.. Amusedly.." Monika pleaded with laughter.

"No way," Lily said with a mischievous smile.

They both look like sisters and sisters now. They laughed together and smiled, both of them making the heart of anyone who looked to be warm and peaceful. Leonardo smiled at the behavior of the two girls.

Feeling satisfied Lily stopped her activities and looked at Monika who was still laughing because she was amused.

"seen? You're more suited to smiling Monika." Lily smiled at Monika.

"Yes, thank you Lily." The lady returned a smile with the best. This was the sweetest smile he ever gave.

Seeing two girls joking around laughing and smiling kept Leonardo's heart cool after doing the grueling exercises. He thought that whatever happened he would protect the smiles of the two girls. Anything even if it meant that he had to sacrifice his soul.

Razor is headed for Leonardo. He gave her a bottle and the bread she had just bought. He hopes with Leonardo eating then he becomes more energized and ready to continue the next strenuous exercise.

"Take this Senior! The next exercise will get heavier so prepare yourself."

Without refusing Leonardo took his drink and bread. He enjoyed the break while watching the two girls still smiling and joking.

"They're really familiar huh?" Razor starts the conversation, she sits next to Leonardo and rests her body. He also drank the bottle he had just bought.

"You're right.. Whatever happens, I will protect both smiles.. Even if it means I'm sacrificing this life." In the last part he played down his tone, so Razor wouldn't hear that. But the man heard it.

"...I like your determination, but don't overdo it, we're ultimately human.. We can't change the fate of someone's death.."

Somehow Leonardo was offended, but he remembered that he never thought to change destiny or anything like that. Trying to ignore him, he ate some bread and enjoyed some time off.

After a while, the break ended. Now Leonardo and Razor are beginning their training. Lily and Monika are asleep in Razor's room. They were exhausted from walking all day.

The training room that was previously cool and quiet now turned silent.

He could only freeze half a meter of the floor and not expand at all since then.

Even the time has become Afternoon and he considers today's training to be free.

"Damn! What exactly is wrong? Why is there no development at all." Leonardo's Complaints.

"..Well, relax first. You can bring out the element alone it's been amazing. As I said, using the elements through the weapon is a high level." Sahut Razor's. He was watching Leonardo's training.

"I know, but if this keeps up, it could all die" Leonardo still remembered his dream a few days ago.

Leonardo did not respond, he went from the training room to the bathroom outside the inn. After arriving in the bathroom, he immediately immersed his body in the direction of the wide bathtub.

With warm water he enjoyed his soaking time, while resting the tired and scarred body of Leonardo.

Leonardo seems to be enjoying his break. All over his body seemed to be reborn, all fatigue and bodily injuries seemed to just disappear.

But he was still thinking about the results of his training, he was guiding. And doubt will be able to master the element before the time comes.

According to dreams, or it can be called memory. The Civil War will happen about a week from now, though he has no idea what made the civil war happen. But he wanted to maybe do something soon.

'If this keeps up, everyone will die. I had to hurry to stop Edward before it happened.'

Leonardo stopped his soaking activity, he dried his body and used clothes. When he returned to the room and was about to head to the training room.

He looked at the two girls who were fast asleep. Lily slept on a white bed. His sleep was very deep, even he was drooling in the corner of his lips. As for Monika, she fell asleep below and leaned on the bed.

Leonardo stepped towards Monika. He plans to tell her to fall asleep in bed, as she worries Monika is cold.

"Monica." Leonardo's tone was very low, but he was right in front of him, of course Monika heard that voice.

Monika opened her eyes slowly.

"Mr Leonardo?" Say it when you wake up. He still looked sleepy, he rubbed his eyes.

"What brought you here?"

"...Why are you sleeping downstairs? You can get cold, and don't call me sir. You and I are friends too..."

Monika smiled sweetly upon hearing the words of a friend.

"Well from now on I'll call you Leonardo."

"Hmm, great. So why are you sleeping downstairs?" Leonardo returned to the previous topic.

Monika's gaze spontaneously stared at the bed. She smiled at Lily who was fast asleep.

"There is no specific reason. As you know I was once just a slave. To sleep on that bed was a very impossible thing for us. I used to sleep barefoot and just leaning against the cold walls. Even though I was given the chance in the end I was not worthy of a normal life, after all we were just slaves"

Hearing the sad answer made Leonardo's heart pierced. He could not imagine how his life had been.

In the depths of Leonardo's heart, he desperately wanted Monika to be like a normal girl, dress up, smile easily and cheerfully. He didn't want Monika to feel sad anymore.

"That's not true! You deserve a normal life, even anyone deserves that."

Monika smiled once again, but this time it looked forced.

"You're right I'm sorry I said an-"

Not finished talking Leonardo has been holding the tiny body of Monika with a sling ala princess.

Monika's cheeks and ears instantly turned red when she realized she was being held tightly. His gaze continued towards Leonardo's face.

"..Anu's.. Leonardo.. can you put me down?." That red face he couldn't stand. He decided to turn his face the other way.

"No way."

Leonardo walked small towards the mattress and laid Monika's body carefully.

"Comfortable right? If you sleep downstairs it'll get cold and if you get sick later I'll get hassled."

Monika's face turned red, she felt warmth in her cheeks and heart.

"Monika your face is red lo, don't tell me you have a fever!?" Leonardo was about to put a hand towards Monika's head to check her temperature.

But quickly monika brushed it off and re-raised the body in place of a sleeping position to sit.

"No... I'm perfectly healthy!.. Haha.. Thanks for everything." He tried to cover his embarrassed face, but anyone knew from his tone that he was being misbehaved. Except for the man standing right in front of him, he was a complete fool. Even he didn't realize that Monika had been flirting with him for what he did.

"By the way, what about your training? Is there any progress?" Monika tried to shift the conversation and solve this awkward situation.

But he didn't know it was taboo. Leonardo's face now paled and turned blue, his head erect even now subdued.

"Haha.. There is no development at all." he said with a face of despair.

"It seems there is something lacking.. Or what I can't guess. Or maybe I'm not talented?"

Seeing Leonardo's pale face made Monika smile sweetly, she held the hand and said.

"That's not true. You were so strong, back then you saved me with this hand right?"

Monika breathed in to continue what she was about to say.

"I don't know anything about magic, but it seems to be related to the wishes of its use."

"desire?"

"Yes, like the desire to protect someone you love .. Perhaps by thinking about it, the magic will increase."

Monika opened her eyes wide, she only realized that from earlier holding Leonardo's hand.

"..Sorry, I'm holding her.. And forget my advice! That's just stupid advice, Dad. There's no way people will be strong just thinking about love, right?"

Leonardo smiled broadly. Monika seemed to be drifting away from that smile, even her heart this time moved very fast when staring at Leonardo

I feel like I have talked enough. He decided to return to the training room and wanted to try out Monika's advice.
