Surya looked at the two people before him with a sharp look. His hands were still clenched with hardened jaws. He really wanted to curse at Rony who was currently sitting leisurely without any guilt at all. Though just made the princess just scared and crying.

Margaret let out a thin sigh and smiled towards Surya. “How are you, my son?” greet Margaret with a soft voice.

Surya glanced at his mother with a sharp look. “For what did Mama come to Alice's office?” surya ignored the loving greeting from the mother.

“Mama just wanted to say hello to my granddaughter. Is that wrong?” margaret said with a calm voice and a face with no guilt at all.

Surya squeaked with one lip raised next to him. “Do not try lying Surya, Ma. Surya's not a four-year-old who Mama can fool. Ever since Alice was little, even Mama wanted to throw it away. Now Mama says she wants to say hello? Don't be silly,” hiss Surya with a face still shows his annoyance.

“More with mama brings this self-destructive man,” firmly Surya pointed to Rony who just smiled thinly, “I really don't want to see his face.”

Rony smiled faintly and ignored Surya's words. He chose silence and looked down on Surya.

Margaret who heard sighed and stared at Surya sharply. The flat and relaxed face that had been shown had disappeared instantly. “If you already know with that, why are you still insistent? Mama said she didn't want to accept Alice as our family and you're still keeping her. You know what, Surya? Mama would not have grandchildren from cheap women,” explained Margaret with a firm voice.

“He's not a cheap girl, Ma! He is my son and until whenever it will be,” snapped Surya with passionate emotions. His eyes looked at Rony who was still humbling him.

Surya stepped closer and pulled on Rony's shirt, making the man stand up and look at him fixedly.

“I warn you, Rony. Never disturb Alice or you will receive the consequences,” hissed Surya with a cynical face.

Rony smiled a little. “Why can't I touch it, Surya. He's not even my family. So, I can touch and have it.”

“Rony!” surya snapped with widened eyes and clenched hands.

“Stop that shout of yours, Surya,” Margaret said in a loud voice, “what Rony said is true. So what's wrong with her marrying Rony. It would be much better than her failing to marry Randy and tarnishing the family's good name. And after that you married her to Dave who was obviously the son of a prisoner? Until when are you going to put our family to shame, huh?”

Surya who heard let go of his hand and took a deep breath, exhaling slowly. His eyes looked at Margaret with a cold gaze and no heat at all.

“Since Alice was present in my life, it feels like I have lost sympathy with Mama. I used to be proud of Mama and say that Mama was the best parent. But it's different, actually. Mama is a selfish parent and I just realized it. In fact, Mama did not have the slightest feeling when Rony almost raped Alice. Mama just shut up,” said Surya while staring at the face of his mother who began to change.

“Maybe it's time Surya said. Never take care of Surya's family and stay away from us, Ma. I don't want that in the end Mama will make Alice hard again. Don't like him enough, but don't hurt him. I beg.”

Surya sighed and immediately walked out of his son's room. Letting Rony and his mom stay there. He even ignored Margaret's screams calling out her name.

I was quite disappointed with Mama's attitude, Inner Surya.

After getting an order from Surya, Bara immediately took Alice out of the office. Ignoring the questionable gazes of all the employees he accidentally met. Alice herself was silent with her face down. This was the first time in a dozen years that he had made his grievous face in public.

Alice received the glass Bara gave and was silent with a sobbing cry. Bara chose to take him to a small park that is usually used by small children to play, it is also not far from his office at this time.

“Thank you,” said Alice quietly.

She just sat down and sat down near Alice. His eyes just stared at the streets that looked so crowded. He did not notice Alice's tears that were still flowing to this day.

Alice sipped a little hot coffee in her hand and looked at Bara who was still showing a cold expression. “Sorry,” great-grandson Alice with a sad face.

The hearing embers stared at Alice with frowns. “For?”

“Because I always come to you with a thousand problems,” Alice replied with a faint smile. He still remembered some of his problems present right in front of Bara. Starting from him who was hurt by Randy's decision to date, when his grandmother came.

Bara who heard only nodded casually and did not say anything, although the real curiosity still gnawed at his heart.

Why is Alice crying? What exactly happened? Those questions kept coming to his mind. He thought it was all just his feelings, but it was true. Alice was afraid of her grandmother.

Alice took a deep breath and lowered her head. “I'm afraid of grandma,” great-grandmother Alice while she tears. It felt like he wanted to tell everything to the young man who did not seem interested in his story. However, in fact Bara immediately stared with an enthusiastic look.

“Since childhood grandma never liked me. Exactly since I came into papa's life. Grandma repeatedly scolded me and was about to throw me away. Grandma always tormented me when papa and mama left me at her house,” continued Alice with tears flowing. He sighed softly and continued his words. “Until one day papa knows what grandma did. Papa was furious, but grandma still felt innocent at all. Grandma instead blames me for all of papa's anger and hates me even more.”

“While Rony, he is my uncle, the son of my grandmother's brother. He tried to rape me when I was only sixteen.” Alice paused for a moment and returned to tears. This was the first time she had experienced such shame and sadness in her life.

Bara turned to hear Alice's story. Moreover this time he looked back at the weak body in front of him.

“I'm afraid that Uncle Rony will do the same. She..dia...” Alice was silent and sobbed to remember Rony's actions that made her feel scared.

I understand Alice's feelings. He knew that the woman before him was indeed fragile. Slowly, Bara pulled Alice up and hugged the girl around him slowly.

“Do not force it, Alice, I understand your fear. I understand how you feel. Relax, no one will hurt you back. They will get a reply,” Bara said making Alice more sobbing.

Alice clasped the man before her tightly, unwilling to let go. He ignored all the silly feelings trying to forget Bara. He just wants to live the day he can still go through, even though in the end he is only considered a friend.

Just be quiet. We feel different wounds, Alice. We experience different attitudes, but I know what it feels like, the inner Bara who also feels that they have a dark past. The past is always covered.
