The Prince of Travelers

The Prince of Travelers
Chapter 075: The Dusk

“There!” jin Mi exclaimed as she pointed at a lump of chocolate running among the trees. The long-eared brown blob was extremely agile. Many times he managed to avoid Jin Mi and Sue Fang's arrow shots.

“Ck! Fail again,” complacently Sue Fang was upset, “The little rabbit was too agile. Can't we find another game?”

“We've been looking all day, Fang,” Ma Yuan sighed softly. It came down from a high rock and landed right in front of Sue Fang, “If we let go, we probably won't get meat today.”

“Yesterday there were many deer near the river,” Sue Fang said as she grabbed her hair with one hand, anxious because today the deer was not in place. Ma Yuan patted him on the shoulder and said, “Friends, they must have been looking for somewhere else to avoid us.”

“Hais ...,” Sue Fang stopped pulling her hair. He relaxes hands and even becomes lethargic, “Living in the forest is not easy. Until when will the Grand Prince survive in this place?”

“Can!” jin Mi's exclamation attracted the attention of Sue Fang and Ma Yuan at once. They turned their heads and rushed to the origin of the voice. Once there, they found Li An and Jin Mi who were tying the brown rabbit.

“What else does the Grand Prince get?” ask Sue Fang to guess.

“Yes, the Archery ability of the Grand Prince is indeed the best,” Jin Mi replied proudly. Until now, it was Wang Honglilah who got the most hunting. However, his record will soon be broken by Li An who only fully recovered last week.

“Grand Prince, please teach me how to shoot properly,” pinta Ma Yuan sincerely. Sue Fang followed her, “I too, Grand Prince.”

Li An only smiled faintly. In fact, he had already refused several times to be called the Grand Prince. However, these warriors never accepted his refusal. In the end, Li An got used to that ludicrous call for him.

“I learned from Brother Hongli,” Li An replied later, “Not that you guys just ask him.”

“Senior Wang is too fierce,” chirps Sue Fang.

“Ssht ..!” Ma Yuan directly asked him to shut up, “You will get in trouble if Senior Wang hears it~”

“Heard what, heh?” wang Hongli's sudden appearance from behind made Sue Fang and Ma Yuan flinch instantly. Ma Yuan turned his face and elbowed Sue Fang's body firmly.

“A–anu~” Sue Fang trying to find the right answer. He looks groggy. His memory of last year's winter training in the Northern Region swelled abruptly. He would probably undergo that deadly strenuous exercise again if it were to offend Wang Hongli.

“They both want to learn archery from you,” Li An finally explained, “They are just shy about revealing it.”

“Archery exercise?” Wang Hongli turned to Sue Fang and Ma Yuan who were still wasting their face, “Your abilities are indeed poor. Better, you guys just focus on the sword.”

“The sword was raping ...,” Sue Fang was about to bash again, but Jin Mi's voice first distracted the people.

“This rabbit will not be enough for seven,” Jin Mi raised a brown rabbit that has been tied firmly, “We have to look for another quarry.”

“By also,” Jin Mi nodded in agreement, “You already know the place, right?”

“Yes, of course,” replied Sue Fang confidently, “Around this forest has become like my home, so I will definitely get it.”

“You will have no trouble catching a rabbit if this forest is like your home,” Ma Yuan replied. Sue Fang floated a bogem to snap her head, but she managed to dodge easily.

“Then, we split up again,” Jin Mi also split the group, “I will be with the Grand Prince, Hongli himself, while Yuan and Fang together look for fruits.”

“Senior Jin choose love,” grumbled Sue Fang. His mouth was hard to catch. He likes to say his heart without thinking first. They also separated. However, before Sue Fang stepped in with Ma Yuan, Wang Hongli patted her on the shoulder.

“Fang,” call Wang Hongli with his hoarse wet voice, “We need to talk when we get to the hut later.”

“Ba–well,” Sue Fang replied stuttering, but her brain quickly tried to figure out how to evade, “Then, we go first, Senior.  Bring us lots of meat! We will pick the most ripe fruits for you.”

“Ck! The boy was getting less self-aware,” grumbled Wang Hongli, “Does he think I didn't hear him at all? Just look! I'll give you the most effective archery practice for you.”

“I salute with her courage,” Jin Mi even blatantly praised Sue Fang, “She was very great dealing with the famous Twin Swordsman.”

“Be quiet!” Wang Hongli turned away from Jin Mi and Li An, “Quick resume your hunt! We have to go back to the old Hermit Grandpa's hut before the sun sets.”

“Alright, Chairman,” Jin Mi nodded with her nosy smile. Li An enjoyed the familiarity of his warriors with a happy heart. Previously, he had thought that maybe they would just leave him because he decided to survive longer in the forest. However, those worries turned out to be futile. To this day, they have managed to survive well in this dense jungle of forests.

Li An and Jin Mi got two wild chickens when the sun started emitting its red tinge on the western horizon. They rushed back to the hut to join the others. Well, even though their hunting results today were not much, this was still enough for them to spend together.

“Prince, when will you return to Tang?” jin Mi asked in between their breaks. He looked to the western horizon, where the sun emits its reddish rays at dusk. A smooth wind blew on his face, bringing a very delicious freshness.

“Now, I still want to study with Old Hermit Grandpa,” replied Li An honestly, “But, I can't possibly continue here. In the near future, we have to get out of the forest in anticipation of the war that will happen.”

“Are you still going to seek peace between Tang and Tarkan after their betrayal?” Jin Mi looked at Li An astonished, “Shouldn't we take firm action on their actions?”

“The case for the tragedy is still unclear, Swordsman Mi,” replied Li An while picking a piece of green leaf that was nearby, “I remember that time, when, a brother of ours was killed with an arrow. However, a moment later, their side exclaimed that one of the sons of the chief of his tribe had been killed. I don't know who first triggered the conflict, we have to work together to be able to dismantle it.”

“It has been more than a month since the incident,” Jin Mi reminded, “Most likely, news of the battle has reached the hands of His Majesty. He will definitely not stay silent on the actions of Tarkan.”

“True, the empire will not remain silent. They must have prepared an army at the border,” Li An stared wistfully at the western horizon. He did not want to linger in this forest. The young man just wanted to learn more from the Old Hermit. His premonition said that the knowledge of the old man would greatly help his life. Even so, he never forgot his mission to reconcile the Tang Empire and the Tarkan Khaganate.
