The Prince of Travelers

The Prince of Travelers
Chapter 066: If This Peace Be Sure

Li An, Wang Hongli, and Ling Bao walked down a creek. When the sun was hot, they found a herd of deer that were busy playing near the riverbank. The deer are numerous and beautiful. It will not be difficult to destroy it.

“Prince, they are seen,” reported Wang Hongli spirit, “How about we aim them from here?”

“One arrow, one deer,” Ling Bao, a tall swordsman who is like Wang Hongli is no less enthusiastic, “Do not until there is a shot that misses.”

“True, make sure we get a lot of hunting today,” Li An was so enthusiastic. Without extending the chatter again, he pulled the arrow from his bow. With a single shot, the arrow shot swiftly towards one of the biggest deer. The arrow was followed by two other arrows.

“On target!” exclaimed Wang Hongli pleased. He rushed his horse towards the herd of deer. So did Li An and Ling Bao. As soon as they got closer, the deer instantly moved away from them.

“We can still get some more,” Li An back firing his arrows. The arrow again hit the target. A deer instantly collapsed the moment it was hit by his shot. Ling Bao also attempted to shoot again, but his arrow instead hit the tree trunk around the running deer.

“I can still do it again,” Ling Bao directly fired two arrows from his bow. Unfortunately, the two arrows missed their target. He tried again with an arrow. It was only this last one that he managed to hit it.

“Five deer,” exclaim Wang Hongli happy, “This is more than enough for three people. Prince, let's go back to the camp. We won't be able to carry this deer if we hunt more.”

“You're right,” Li An nodded in understanding, “That's the deer. Don't let them run away in the middle of the road.”

“Ha!” exclaimed Wang Hongli and Ling Bao compact.

The three of them returned to the camp with five game animals. People were amazed to see it. Otugai to the chuckle was happy to see the large number of deer obtained by the people from the empire. If totaled entirely, the group Otugai and Li An group got the same amount of hunting results.

“Sadly, we have not met the red bear,” Ling Bao said as he stared at the entire game. The surviving animals are kept in cages. Their wounds were treated in order to survive. Others were slaughtered for dinner.

“Red room?” Otugai is interested in Ling Bao's words, “You want to hunt the creature?”

“Yes, the Grand Prince wants it,” Ling Bao nodded.

Otugai chuckled. He had mistaken the Grand Prince. The young man was beyond his expectations. He became even more interested in establishing a close relationship with Li An. “I love that spirit of your Grand Prince. We can show you the red bear's place tomorrow. It's pretty far from here. It may take about three days to ride a horse. Come with us!”

“Hm, that's a good offer,” Ling Bao mangosteen softly, “I'll pass it on to the Grand Prince.”

“Hahaha! Sure, deliver!” Otugai again chuckled happily. He raised his drink up high, then exclaimed to his people, “Friends, we will hunt the red bear tomorrow!”

“Hooo ..!” the people of Otugai cried out happily. Just like their leaders, they love challenges. The hunt for the red bear tomorrow will be more exciting than the hunt today.

“So, yes?” Li An switched his pen and paper once he got the report from Ling Bao, “That's good. In addition to getting help, we can further familiarize ourselves with Otugai Shad.”

“What do you mean?” Li An who was just about to return to writing turned her head with a dislike look. He was offended by the question. Implicitly, the question has negated his diplomatic efforts with the Tarkan Khaganate.

“This is just a possibility,” Ling Bao instantly noticed that gaze. He immediately straightened his point, “I certainly don't want that to happen. However, if it really happens and we go back to war, what will you do?”

“I ...,” Li An was reluctant to imagine it. But the bad possibility could happen. The Eighth Prince must make a wise decision if peace and friendship are cancelled for some reason.

“... should try to reconcile it back,” continued Li An. He turned his eyes back to the paper and pen. The dim candle accompanies his literary activity. He shook his head slowly with a heavy sigh, hoping that bad things would not happen.

“You carried something I could never carry,” Ling Bao replied with a faint smile on his lips. He knelt before Li An, then said, “Prince, I will always be by your side. Whatever you order, surely I will finish it.”

“Thank you, Swordsman Bao,” Li An replied with the same thin smile. He respected his short-sightedness. Although he was briefly angry, he was grateful to have loyal followers like Wang Hongli and Ling Bao.

“Hai, Friend,” Xiao Chyou patted the shoulder of one of the hunters from Tarkan. The damned hunter immediately gasped. He who was assigned to guard around did not expect to fall asleep like this.

“Are you okay?” xiao Chyou asked sok familiar. He showed a face of empathy as if he knew very well the fatigue of watching. Well, he's been in charge of logistics a lot, so he knows it. Therefore, he wants to immediately rise to office.

“I'm fine,” the hunter Xiao Chyou swatted shook his head strongly, trying to eliminate his drowsiness. He said, “You don't have to worry. This camp will be fine as long as I'm on guard.”

“But,” Xiao Chyou gave a piercing inquiring look, “You look very tired, my friend. Let me replace you. I've had enough rest.”

“Oh, really?” the hunter seemed to be interested in Xiao Chyou's offer, even though he didn't know him at all. According to his knowledge, the person who offered him was one of his best friends.

“Of course, you can rest now,” Xiao Chyou said the greeting as sincerely as possible so as not to be suspected, “Friends, just put your arrow there. I'll take care of it for you. You can just rest.”

“Oh, Friend. You are very good,” hunter Tarkan muttered with drowsiness that is becoming. He left Xiao Chyou alone and returned to his tent. As soon as he left, two men came over to Xiao Chyou.

“Run the plan now!” xiao Chyou said. His voice was shrill, but it could still be heard clearly by Qin Guang and Shien Lubu. They nodded, while Xiao Chyou stood guard for them.

“Besok morning, the bed***h it will fight each other,” muttered Shien Lubu girang while fiddling with the hunting gear of the hunters, “I can't wait to see it.”

“As long as the Eighth Prince is injured, this plan will be a success,” Qin Guang grinned happily, “We will get a quick rise in office upon arrival in the empire later.”
