The Prince of Travelers

The Prince of Travelers
Chapter 046: The Matrimonial Process

"He's come yet?" li An asked a waiter on duty, "Has he been waiting a long time?"

"No, Prince," the servant shook his head, "He's also just arrived."

"Thank God," Li An heaved a sigh of relief, "Means we didn't make him wait for long."

"Who is he?" li Huanran asked.

"Sister will know in a moment," Li An smiled wryly, "Before meeting him, Big Brother should wear even more appropriate clothes. Hi, please tell him to wait a little longer."

"Why don't you go see him?" li Huanran asked in astonishment after Li An gave the order to his servant. He also checked his clothes. According to him, he had used appropriate clothes to meet formally.

"That person is very dignified and upholds the honor of women," Li An explained as she pulled her brother into a room, "He always keeps his eyes and is obedient to his religious orders."

"Hm," Li Huanran still did not understand.

"Prince," a maid came to bring a head accessory, "Here's the thing you ordered."

"Thank you," said Li An who then turned to his older brother, "Sister, wear this to cover your head and face. That way, you will be able to talk more comfortably and casually. Big brother also no longer needed to use that fan to hide the expression."

"OK," Li Huanran accepted without protest. He also received the head accessories that widened. There was a thin cloth dangling long downwards. The cloth will cover the user from the view of the people, but the user himself can still look outside.

"Sister's ready, right?" li An asked once again to confirm, "Let's go in now."

Li Huanran nodded. His hand held the Eighth Prince's arm which was now getting bigger, but the arm was very small.

Li Huanran's heart suddenly thumped as soon as it passed through the entrance. The atmosphere around him seemed to change instantly as soon as he reached the room. There was a foreign feeling that suddenly lunged.

"I'm sorry for making you wait so long" Li An told a young man who had been sitting in the room, "For a long time no see. It's been almost half a year, hasn't it? Or maybe more?"

"Let's know, Prince," the young man wore a distinctive knotty smile, "But we haven't seen each other in a long time."

Li Huanran lowered his face since entering the room earlier. He did not dare to look up despite being curious about the young man his sister would introduce. His heart even thumped even more when he heard the young man's voice.

"Ali," called Li An who then introduced her brother, "Include, this is my sister, Third Princess. His name is Li Huanran."

"Greetings, Mr. Young Ambassador," Li Huanran emboldened himself to raise his face. He saw a handsome young man typical of strangers who smiled knottyly at him. Both ages may be too late. They will be very suitable if this matchmaking process goes smoothly.

The young man named Ali bin Zaid had a thick beard, jet black, and neatly arranged. There was a special aura of a diplomat on him. With his great status, he was indeed worthy to invite the emperor's daughter, especially to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries through family lines.

"Alright," Li An clapped his hands once, taking the attention of the two people who had just met each other in front of him, "Let's start to outline this 'introduction' process."

Li An had learned enough of the variety of shara' that shaped the culture in Islam. According to him, shara' it has a good way to unite the two people who will form the household ark. Starting from the process of introducing each other, sharing the vision and mission in the family, to build a mutual commitment. All of these processes are well controlled by the rules of syara'.

Unlike the ancient cultures of the far western lands, in shara' there is no such thing as courtship. The process of getting to know each other requires supervision so as not to occur "accidents" that undermine dignity and dignity. There is strict guidance during the process, including in the process of forming a family vision and mission.

As Li An had told Consort Shu yesterday, marriage was not just about love. The lovers sometimes forget the responsibility that must be borne. That is why they must be guided and reminded not to be wretched.

The marriage requires a strong commitment, not the nonsense of land crocodiles who brag willing to climb mountains and wade through the ocean for the sake of the beloved couple. That commitment must be built together so that both people can live it with a sincere heart. Without that commitment, it is inappropriate for a lover to be held in his oral voice.

Two meetings are not enough to get to know each other. That's why Li Huanran came to see Ali with Li An several times. A week went by, and there seemed to be a match for both. So, it is time to strengthen the heart and establish an essential commitment.

"Are you sure and sure you will accept it?" li An asked on one of his trips home from seeing Ali.

Li Huanran did not answer directly. He was silent in his place. His acquaintance with Ali went well. He had also investigated the young man's original temperament in secret. Not what makes it so heavy. Finally, he nodded slowly.

"Alright then," Li An smiled happily, "It's time for Ali to meet with Aunt Shu."

"Aren't you going to call her mom?" li Huanran asked to hear the Eighth Prince call his birth mother aunty.

"Hm," Li An replied spontaneously, "Auntie never asked me to call her mother."

"An'er, if I ask you," said Li Huanran, who was filled with thousands of feelings, "Do you want to call your mother 'mother'?"

"I have no problem," Li An replied lightly, "What about aunt herself? Will he not be offended?"

"Basically, the mother always expected it even if she didn't want to show it clearly," Li Huanran patted Li An's forehead with the tip of her fan, "Try calling her properly while chatting with her."

"Alright," Li An nodded in understanding, "It just so happens that I have to report this progress to him."
