Chapter 88 - The Past of Reina

The door to the basement was opened by Justin. There was a dark staircase leading underground. They enter the space leaving Edward, King, Archy, and Vitan outside to guard the Car and keep an eye on the situation.

Justin casts a Light Spell to explain the path. Right after the Light from Justin's Spell was cast, the basement suddenly became very bright as if it was pierced by the sunlight completely.

They were shocked for a moment, and after that they continued their way down the stairs leading to the basement.

On the right and left side of the stairs there is a kind of rack containing clothes and fighting equipment of the previous Bullaford Kings complete with the name of the king at the bottom of the shelf. Until finally arrived at the part of King Erdia that is still empty and has not been filled by anything.

They paused for a moment to look at the empty shelf. They stopped and paid their respects for a moment before continuing their way up the stairs.

They continued walking and met with 3 different paths. Justin remembers when he was a child, his father showed him this path. He also walked straight ahead.

Kron and the others had no choice but to believe in Justin's choice. They continued on through the path Justin chose.

After walking straight for about 5 minutes, they met a very large door. On the door there is a typical Bullaford tree carving with leaves engraved with the name of the previous king, and fruit engraved the name of the king's chosen heir at that time served.

They were looking for an engraving of Errdia's name and they found it. Erdia's name is not in any fruit, but can only be found on the leaves.

Tombas sought the name of the king before Erdia and he found it. He searched for the heir chosen by the Bullaford King before Erdia and he was surprised by the name he found.

They began to look in the direction pointed by Tombas. They were surprised by the name they found. Her name is Reina Bhunter, mother of Justin and wife of Erdia.

"I-Mother..?" justin said

"Wait a minute. Shouldn't the leader of the Bullaford be a man ?" ask Aldizech

"Yes, so yes." said Tombas.

"What is so uncle?! Why can mother's name be engraved on that fruit ?!" justin panicked

Kron whispers to Aldizech about the problem if the woman leading Bullaford. Aldizech replied that if the woman in charge would die at that time because she could not withstand the power passed down from the previous Bullaford King.

Kron again asked what is meant by inherited power. Aldizech replied that the power was the power from Heaven obtained by the first Bullaford King. The power was always passed down from the previous Bullaford King to his successor.

And once twice a woman tried to accept the power, and of the two female successors, both died right while receiving the power.

"So.you mean." said Kron.

"It's probably so." Aldizech said

Tombas who seemed to remember something was immediately asked by Justin to explain. Tombas initially refuses but Justin continues to insist that Tombas explain what he is hiding.

"Justin, I don't really want to tell you this, but it looks like in the future this will be an important thing for you to know" Tombas said.

"King Bullaford before Erdia was a Lasso. He was a very greedy man, especially about possessions and women."

"Your mother is a very beautiful person, even from a small she has been recognized by all people in Bullaford. And her beauty seduced the old bastard."

Aldizech and Arthur who heard the name immediately clasped his sword very firmly. They seem to have a very deep grudge against Modo.

"So he's a real jerk.. Uncle, Old Man ?" said Kron who was aware of the emotions of Arthur and Aldizech

"... Yes." replied Arthur and Aldizech
