The Ours In Another Story

The Ours In Another Story
66. Fear of Burdening

Without them knowing, Jevan listened to all those conversations from the doorway. He had intended to take his wallet which was left in his jacket pocket on the hanger but just as he was about to enter, he heard his wife crying as well as the sound of Haikal trying to calm his cousin. Had it not been for Nafiza walking up the street looking for her uncle, Jevan would have been crying by now.

"Shtt, pretty as papa used to be. Oh Haikal again nemenin Mama," said Jevan who prevented his daughter from approaching the room.

"Can Papa play music?" ask Nafiza.

"Can dong. Papa is also good at playing music. Papa can't play the violin, but Papa can play the piano. Here we play music with Papa first yes," asked Jevan to Nafiza.

Fortunately his daughter complied and immediately returned to the first floor. He and Abi were already preparing in front of the piano and were immediately trying to play what he could already. First Abi first pressed the ranks of black and white keys and next to him Nafiza played with the violin bought by om Haikal. A gift from om he said to little Nafiza who will soon be a big sister.

"Papa.., Papa try to play dong," said Nafiza.

"Main what?"

"Main piano. He said he could play the piano. Where Abi wants to see if not om lying is rich Dad likes to lie," said Abi.

"It's delicious. Om really can, here's what you're pointing at" Jevan said, then he sat down.

His fingers began to dance creating a gentle harmony. He has played the piano since he was a child. Without feeling, his mouth began to chant soft and beautiful tones. The first song he ever wanted to show Rere but failed because of Viona who made Rere had lost track in Europe first.

From those melodies, Jevan's memory returns to the day on which he first answered Rere's greeting. Up to the day where the two bind their eternal love in the. Jevan also floated in view of their first encounter with Nafiza. He remembered that he had been so happy to look at Rere who always muttered while putting his little princess Nafiza to sleep.

"Papa.., good song. What's the name Pa?" ask Nafiza.

"Beautiful" Jevan replied briefly.

"The melody is beautiful Pa, teach Nafiza dong."

"Of course it's beautiful, son. This song Papa created for Mama. 3 years Papa work on this song to perfection. But unfortunately Mama has never heard this song directly," Jevan told her daughter.

"Well, what a pity is Mama?" ask Nafiza.

"Very. My dear dad to Mama. Papa loves you too. You are Papa's world. Without the two of you, Papa is nothing" replied Jevan who then embraced his daughter with affection.

"Papa why? Papa isn't papa, is he?" ask Nafiza again.

"No papa dear. Yuk, let's play again. Try Papa want to hear he said you can already song Indonesia Pusaka," said Jevan trying to divert his mind also divert the meaning of the two children who are next to him.

Rere had started to calm down and he asked Haikal to come down immediately. She had been listening to the sound of the piano for some time. Rere was unwilling to hold Haikal nearby while his cousin was coming here with the intention to teach his daughter to play the violin. The two have also agreed that on the day of farewell, the two will appear before their friends to play their training results with om Haikal.

Rere's heart wanted to get out of his bed. He wanted to accompany Nafiza who was practicing music with Om Haikal on the 1st floor. Although his body felt heavy and his head was dizzy, he still forced himself to stand up. One hand he uses to support the stomach while the other hand he uses holds on the headboard to support his own body.

"Mass? Already home?" ask Rere.

"I'm not leaving yet" he replied with a sad face.

"Why did you get that glue?" ask Rere again.

"I should have asked you. You why?"

"I'm not papa.." Rere replied lying.

"Don't lie pretty, I don't like it" Jevan said, leaving Rere speechless.

Jevan stepped shut the door and then went back to Rere. This time he knelt before Rere so that he could stare at Rere who kept his head down while crying.

"Why are you hiding your cries? I told you, you can pretend to be strong in front of Nafiza, but not in front of me. If you are tired, rest, if you are not strong give up, do not be rich gini" said Jevan.

"I just don't want to be your burden" Rere said.

"When have I ever considered you my burden, dear? Never have."

"You said myself that my brother and I have different love languages and this is how I love you. I don't want you to do everything alone. I want you to hang everything on my shoulders" Jevan said.

"But the burden on your shoulders is already heavy Jevan I don't want to add to it" Rere said.

Not until Jevan answered Rere's sentence, he saw her beauty frowning like holding back pain, "why? Stomach hurts? Say pretty."

Rere just cried then nodded in response, "my stomach suddenly hurts, Mas."

Jevan grabbed Rere's jacket and helped him wear it. Slowly Jevan helped Rere stand up. No. gabe. More accurately said forcing. Jevan forced Rere to stand up and stacked his body onto Jevan's body which slowly swept him out of the room.

"Why is Astagfirullah Rere?" ask Jovan who was just about to walk into his room.

"Jo put my son away. I'm taking Rere to the hospital. I couldn't stand to see him in pain" said Jevan, who was taken in by Jovan, who helped to get Rere because he saw Jevan as troubled.

"Yes yes, just calm down. I must take care of the kids. Eh Je be careful," said Jovan, who began to lose consciousness.

Jovan feels Rere's body is not powered at all while his twin brother is just as panicked. In any case Rere his wife and he is a different condition. It's natural that Jevan panicked when his wife was sick. Jovan is the same. He always panicked and feared if his wife was sick as trivial as it was but the instinct of a husband would tend to be like that.
