“You eat do not cry, later the fish will cry,” said Jevan.
“Asaan anyway, he's dead on a plate where it can cry,” said Rere.
“Can you, want to see? Nih I pointed,” Jevan then grabbed the knife and fork then slowly cut the body part of the grilled fish in front of him while mimicking the sound of crying. Rere heard him automatically laugh. Although it was actually a little embarrassing she imitated the cry and made it seem as if her fish was in pain when she was cut but as long as Rere could laugh she did not matter.
Jevan only noticed, until Rere stopped laughing awkwardly and drank his juice with no less awkward new Jevan in action. He reached into his pants pocket to get something out of there. A small red box containing a necklace. Rere remembered the necklace. The necklace he had pulled up broke and he just threw it away.
Jevan stood behind Rere to put it together and said, "Beauty me, this necklace should never be thrown away again."
"Why do you love Jev now? This necklace I think is missing" Rere said.
"This necklace is on me, but I doubt I'll give it back to you. There are too many memories in it. I just don't want you to remember the pain that I gave you back then."
"I promise I won't remember anything bad. I'll just remember all the good stuff. I just want our happy moments, nothing else" Rere said, making Jevan smile.
"Reva Aulia, my beauty. The mother of my children, I love you" Jevan whispered in Rere's ear and then gave a glimpse of Rere's cheek.
"You start again? Our debate has no end when it comes to determining who loves who," said Rere returned a smile while staring fixed Jevan eyes that reflect the beautiful face of Ananda Reva Aulia.
Jevan and Rere closed their journey sweetly. At the hotel where they were staying, Jevan asked to tidy up their room and decorate it again just like the first time they entered the room.
Once the car carrying Jevan and Rere was parked in front of the hotel lobby, Jevan immediately took his wife to get inside. He brought Rere's bags and groceries as usual and then one of his hands was free to use to hold Rere. He smiled, his wife was smiling happily after getting so many sweet gifts from her husband. But apparently it doesn't stop there. As soon as the two entered Jevan immediately closed the door and immediately carried her while kissing Rere's forehead.
"Mas, I must have been heavy" said Rere.
"Beautiful, I don't want to waste our last night here. It feels really nice that this beautiful night is just us to use to sleep. Wouldn't it be better if we enjoyed it until the last second? I want to spend time with you again. Just the two of us, in a more private place and without the slightest disturbance."
"Mas Jev's...."
"I'm starting to regret why we didn't honeymoon so I'm asking you to help me get rid of my regrets. It's too late but I want to carve memories with you that we can someday remember in a beautiful way" Jevan said.
"Mas Jev, have I ever demanded anything from you? No. kan. Because you've always given me everything I need even without me asking. You can love me in the right way. That's why no matter how much Haikal brushes off all my stories about you, I still don't waver. You're the only one who gave me a reason to stay. You're the only one who gave me a reason to look into the future. My future is the same as yours, the same kids," Rere said.
There are no demands in any movement of the two. There is only love and attention. Neither Jevan nor Rere were pushy. They can play in harmony with each other. Trying to absorb all the happiness that there are only two. Rere was made lulled by Jevan's treatment. The touch without coercion, so gentle yet successful took him flying.
If there was a way for Rere to describe his current happiness he would definitely wear. Bali, the scent of lavender, and Jevan seemed to be the most beautiful memories he had ever had. Memories of where Ananda Reva Aulia felt she had to live on because there was Prasetya Jevando Kusuma who would always need her love.
"Mas Jev..," call Rere.
Both are currently sitting on the balcony. The night air began to pierce but the two still survived sitting under the expanse of stars and moonlight that smiled brightly. Clad in a bathrobe and curled up in the same sofa, Rere sat on Jevan's lap tirelessly stroking his back and clasping his hands.
"Hmm?" answer Jevan.
"Mas I'm grateful that night I decided to commit suicide" Rere said. His eyes did not look at Jevan. Rere looked up, at the expanse of constellations scattered over the night sky accompanied by waves that could be heard faintly.
"Why?"
"If it wasn't for me committing suicide we wouldn't have met" Rere said.
"No Reva, this time you're wrong."
"Why is that?"
"I've been watching you for a long time. I have long had a heart for you. Remember what Mr Purnomo said about my first love? Reva we've been in a school since Junior High. Don't you know? We're different classes, but I know enough of you who always sit at the school gate helping a rice vendor sit down in exchange for a packet of rice that you always eat at lunch break."
"When the whole school scoffs at you, my heart says something else. It was then that my weak heart began to stir. You gave me a reason to live. Just so you know Reva, I've been depressed for a long time to be Jovando's twin brother. He is too perfect and I. We're always being compared and I hate that. But when I feel the most pain you come with a million wounds."
"I secretly followed you home a few times. I also saw you beaten up by Papa Dirga several times. The day you almost killed yourself I've been following you since the afternoon. I'm afraid you're disappearing. I'm afraid you're gonna die. If you die then who should I tell my wounds to? That's why I pulled you and prevented you. Not.., not out of pity.., but because I admire you. You're such a strong woman and I've always wanted to ask for at least a little bit of your fortitude" Jevan said.
"Never talk about suicide again, beautiful, I'm hurt" Jevan said.
Rere fell silent then he put his head in the recess of Jevan's neck. His hands hugged Jevan by the neck and stroked the tough back that had always been his protector, "Mas Jevan.., Prasetya Jevando Kusuma, I love you and I have no regrets at all for choosing you," rere said he started crying. Jevan helped secure the position and his hands again stroked Rere's body which gradually began to relax again.
"I love you too my beautiful, very."
