47. Promise to you

Jevan plans to return Rere and Nafiza to Papa Dirga's house. He felt it was better that Rere did not interfere any more. Rere's condition is not really good and his morning sickness is still severe so Jevan brought Rere to Papa's house because he knew there would be Mister Tiara and Mas Reno who helped him care for Rere.

His concern for Rere's condition was greater than his concern for Jovan. Rere is his wife after all. He does not want to sacrifice Rere because of the problems that exist in his extended family. Moreover, Lafiza, the child so often fussy and not appetite because often see Jevan covered in anger.

"Beauty, pack your clothes. After dinner I'll take you to Papa's house" Jevan said.

"My mind will be divided a lot. If here you will continue to hear the curses of Monika but if at home you have no one to accompany. Reva, I just don't want you to do anything. Rere had no chance to argue. Jevan is not a person who always imposes the will but if he has spoken it feels like Rere has never been given the opportunity to reject it. More to not want, because every decision that comes out of Jevan's mouth her husband is always followed by a reason that Rere thinks makes sense. This man is so logical and never fabricated. He will speak according to his heart and all that he will always tell Rere.

Monika asks Jevan to leave her alone at Mama's house. He began to feel guilty because he forced Rere to continue to hear his complaints even though his sister-in-law was pregnant young and struggling with her morning sickness. As soon as the Jevan family left the house, Monika made the atmosphere of the house as if empty because of a premonition Monik said today Jovando will come to Mama's house.

It was only about 1 hour ago that Jevan's family left. The middle moniker rubbed peanut butter onto two loaves of bread when he heard the sound of a motorbike parked in the yard. Not yet he stepped up, he had already heard Jovan's voice calling his name.

Monika walked slowly towards the door. From behind the front window he saw a shadow that he missed so much. Moreover, he still heard Jovan's voice calling out his name as well as banging on the door.

Jovan paused to calm his heart and urged his tears, "There's a problem in the office that I need to solve Mon. This matter concerns my extended family so I was forced to do all this to protect you, protect my children and brothers including Papa and Mama, he said, I'm sorry if I sacrificed your feelings but please believe me. I will never leave you and the kids. I'm going back to Singapore after this, I leave the kids in your parents' second house. After I finish my business in Singapore I promise I'll take you home no matter what. Monika, I want you to know that I love you. I need you Monika, more than you know,” said Jovan was no longer knocking on the door.

“I love you too Jovan. More than you ever imagined. I just don't want you to fall,” said Monika started roaring in her tears.

Jovan only told Junius about his return to Singapore and also gave news about Tirta and Genta he left in Indonesia. As soon as both of her legs landed in Singapore, she headed straight to her house and found out anything that could alert her to what mistake had forced Monika to leave her side. Jovan finds nothing but a pile of Monika's latest novel scripts lying on the table. She grabs the script, she knows that Monika often secretly puts everything she experiences into the script.

Jovan's eyes were sidetracked on a small orange note in the corner of the table. He read it and found a sentence that was more than enough to make his tears spill.

“Originally you know, I trust you whatever you will do. So I hope you believe in me. Jovan, I'm sorry I couldn't be a good wife to you,” Monika said in the note.

“Monika, our relationship probably started from your feelings for me. But you should also know that as time goes by, I like you too. Whatever your circumstances, I will be by your side. Because I need you, because I can't live without you,” said Jovan regretting his stupidity.

Secretary Jovan let him know if there's a problem at the office. He said Jovan's signature was misused to make a profit. Police are investigating a corruption case that occurred in Jovan's office and his name was dragged into it. Jovan quickly went to the office and found that two teams of investigators began searching his study.

“You named Prasetya Jovando Kusuma?” ask one of them.

“Yes. I am,” replied Jovan.

“The father is allegedly involved in a corruption case. So I asked for his cooperation to come with us and we asked for information.”

Jovan was taken to the police station for questioning. He only asks his secretary to help him tell his twin brother, Jevando. Jovan believes Jevan will be able to help himself to at least present Monika by his side. Honestly, Jovan is no longer able to. If he could choose he would choose to give up now. His mistake was too fatal and could no longer be corrected. He could only rely on the small possibility of Monika coming to help him. Or else he would beg to be able to meet her one last time.

"You have Jevando's contacts. Call him and ask him to come with my wife. I hope you'll still help me. I won't ask you anything after this. Just bring Jevan and my wife in at least during the trial" Jovan told his secretary before entering the police car.

Jovan regretted everything. On his way he could only stare blankly at the handcuffs encircling his hands. He hasn't done anything yet, he has lost. Jovan had expected that all this would happen. His suspicions have long felt and that's what makes him always keep an eye on the movements of his new coworkers. Unfortunately Jovan loses quickly, Jovan loses and begins to realize that he made the wrong decision.

"I shouldn't have stepped alone without your blessing Monika," she said with tears.
