I blinked and rubbed my eyes to make sure my vision was not wrong. However, that figure was really\-totally Geral. He was still waving at the end of the corridor. My heart was so tight that it felt like it was going to come off its hinges. If you notice the expression on Geral's face looks sad.
“Enza!”
I was stunned, and Geral's voice was heard calling my name. There was no need to convince either look or not because I saw the young man's lips move. Obviously he was the one talking and not someone else.
“Enza!”
Slowly\-swallow his voice getting smoother. Youth also feels moving more and more away–entah this is just my feeling or it actually happened so.
“Geral, don't go!” I murmured while standing up from the chair.
I want to get close to Geral. Now I don't even dare to blink for fear that he will vanish if I let my guard down for a moment.
“Awas, Mbak!”
That voice makes me flinch. I hurriedly\-hurry to walk backwards. The voice came from the nurse's assistant who was now pushing the emergency bed. That thing almost made me topple over because it just passed in front of me. When I wanted to apologize, they had already walked quite a distance.
“Enza, are you okay\-what?” Alex pulled my body closer. I don't know when that young man was there.
I turned my head and shook, just to give a sign that I was okay\-all. When I turned back to the location I last looked at, Geral had already disappeared. Oh, no, no, no, this is bad.
“Let me go, Brother!” I said while trying to let go of Alex's embrace.
“Enza, relax!”
Calm down? Calm what? How am I supposed to calm down if Geral suddenly disappears?
“I have to go.”
“Where to go?”
I looked at Alex's face, begging. Withstood Geral's departure, even though I knew it was in vain. Alex shook his head slowly and tightened his embrace. Pulling me back to sitting in the waiting room.
“He could have died,” I explained.
“Who?”
“Rael. Rael died.”
Alex frowned. “What do you mean?”
“I saw his soul there,” I turned my head and pointed at the end of the corridor. It's a little bit of a lie that what I saw was actually Geral. I just need to make sure that the figure I see is Geral, for that Alex has to let me go.
“Ghost?”
“Not!” I almost screamed.
“Enza, listen Brother!”
Alex grabbed my chin and we sat at close range. I swallowed and then sighed. It also feels free if you have to explain to Alex who does not believe in the existence of a transcendental world at all. Of course, I'm not stupid enough to do that pointless thing.
“I know, ghosts don't exist,” I said akhinya.
“Good. The ghost is not there,” sambarnya fast while patting my cheek. She really\-is really relieved as if\-as if I agreed with her about the ghost that could make her happy.
“Then Rael, is he dead?”
Alex shakes. “He has not died.”
“Really?”
“At least not yet for now. But, we never know what will happen, plus he did lose a lot of blood.”
“Keep how?” this time my cry threatened to break again.
“Hopefully it's okay\-nothing. Earlier, I had just donated blood for him,” Alex pulled the arm of his shirt and a small bandage was seen there.
“Hopefully she is well\-baik–”
I cannot continue my words that contain that hope. My breath choked when I realized one thing. If Rael is alive, then why did Geral's soul come out? Did he have a chance to experience cardiac arrest to make Geral's soul ejected? Or is Rael back to take over?
“I told you not to bite your nails!”
Alex's voice jolted me. I turned to her who slowly\-slow down my hand from the surface of the lips. Maybe I just unconsciously lifted a finger and started biting at the tip of the nail when I thought about Geral and Rael.
“What do you think?” ask Alex again.
“Where is Rael?”
“Huh?”
“Rael, where is he? Answer me, Brother!” this time I raised my voice and deliberately added emphasis so that he understood that I needed an immediate answer.
“Is he still unconscious?”
“So far not yet. He was injured in the head so it might take some time to wake up.”
“She has no operation in other parts?” ask again.
“Now not yet, but I don't know later.”
It's true he was injured in the head. Fear, anxiety, relief mixed into one to make it difficult for me to breathe. One thing I can assure you is that Rael is still in the ICU room, there's no way she's taking the necklace off unless she has to be operated on until all her clothes are cut off. Meanwhile, Alex said that Rael had just undergone treatment in the head, not in other parts. At least it confirmed that the young man was unlikely to break away from his own body. Why is Geral's soul outside?
Wait a minute, there's something weird about this part. I have to think straight. Hope to be able to forget all the fears that often come. I screamed when my hands were electric. However, I did not find anything that could sting except one thing. Even so it feels impossible. Armed with doubts, I felt that thing. I choked when I felt the surface of the bracelet heating up.
“What is this sign?”
“What's Za?” Alex straight up.
“Ah! It's nothing\-nothing, Brother,” if I lie while shaking hands. I hope he believes what I say for no reason at all.
“I thought you were thinking about the moon.”
“Month?” I'm parroting now. Why the moon suddenly?
“Now is the full moon, you usually discuss the mystical things\-things about the full moon and ghosts!” he said pointing towards the window.
I followed Alex's eyes to look at the window at the opposite end of the corridor. The full moon hangs casually in the night sky. My eyeballs spin and then count. Damn it
Night's not hundredth, is it?
Or yes?
I cut my lips harder this time. My neck is now suddenly starting to heat up when the tip of my finger touches it. I frowned when my neck hurt, it felt like it was slashed. I was stunned when I rubbed the tip of my index finger over the surface of my neck that, Feeling\-it felt like a new wound was formed. Perhaps this wound is longer and connects with a previously formed black mark. However, I am not sure myself.
“Enza?”
“Ya?” I said as fast as lightning while covering the wound on my neck with my hands. “Do you get sick?”
“Huh?”
“You look pale. Are we going home now?”
Alex can't know about me having to be with Rael now, it's a hundredth night and I have to choose. Otherwise Geral will leave. Oh, stupid me. I'm late to realize that Geral's goal was to show up in the corridor not to say goodbye or say that Rael died. However, he pointed out that tonight he really has to get out of that body. Because tonight is the night of soul choice. I have to call him back to Geral and put him in Rael's body. Otherwise Geral's soul will drift in the world until the day of the\-thousand.
“I want to see Rael,” I said while standing.
“You sure?” Alex this time touched my arm.
“Kakak go home!”
“No.”
“I need a change of clothes, Brother. Can you please get it?” this time I tried to repel him in the most subtle and most reasonable manner.
“Isn't it better to just go home first?” said insist.
I'm shaking. “I want to be with Rael. No, I had to be with him because this accident happened while he was with me.”
“You sure can be fine\-all without me?” he sounded really\-worry again.
“Kakak, just relax. My body stinks, I want to shower and keep changing,” I said again while raising my arms and then kissing my armpits.
I looked into my brother's eyes, hoping for approval and understanding. He took a heavy breath and released his grip.
“OK. Don't go anywhere\-where, yeah!” Alex advised.
“I promise.”
Alex pegi was not long after. Judging from his footsteps, he was really\-in a hurry. After the young man came out at the end of the corridor, I immediately darted towards the room where Rael was. My feet stopped in front of the room. The glass windows confine the room to the outside world. My eyes were fixed staring into the room. My heart began to beat back and forth to the chest when I saw the familiar figure now lying on the bed and rolling with a cable\-wires connected to the equipment near his bed. However, it wasn't just a bunch of unconscious bodies that caught my attention. I was glued to the window of the room and the figure standing there.
“Geral!” call me slowly while touching the window surface.
The young man's soul was now standing by the window ledge. He smiled at me, but the smile looked completely\-deep as if\-there was an invisible rope pulling him forcefully. However, the figure that was next to him really\-had really bothered me. I now completely\-turned to look at the other figure standing beside Geral. The face was the same as the face of the young man who was now closed on the bed with various medical equipment attached to his body. He looked at me sharply, showering with a feeling of guilt. The bracelet in my hand pulsated back. I took a slow breath.
“Enza!” geral's voice sounded familiar in the ears.
“Enza.”
Another voice replied, sounding sad and full of burden. I was stunned, looking at the black-haired young man who had now suddenly\just been right in front of my face. She's really\-completely transparent and–honestly–looks terrible.
“Rael?”
I rubbed my neck which suddenly felt cold. My heart almost fell when I saw two transparent arms extended past my shoulder and up to my chest. I turned to look at him. He smiled, as sweet as ever. This geral is now suddenly behind me, how can it be?
