Chapter 3: Family Rejection But It's Useless
“Why is dad so rushed to get Ethan married? Her brother is still unmarried,” said Mr. Charles, Ethan's father.
“I don't care about your other children! I only care about my grandson Ethan!” snapped the grandfather in a scathing tone towards his own son.
Today he calls Charles, Suliya, Aiden, and Ethan to discuss Ethan's arranged marriage to Scarlett.
“Dad, please rethink to match Ethan with a careless woman. Moreover, I heard he was just a servant father and his family is poor,” persuaded Suliya.
“You better shut up, Suliya! No one asks for your opinion here!”
Grandfather's words instantly made Suliya speechless. The old man was indeed unceasingly irritating. He was married to Charles for a long time, but his existence has not been recognized.
Suliya was the woman Charles loved. Even after Charles married another woman because of an arranged marriage, their relationship continued. Charles's wife dies and marries Suliya, becoming Ethan's stepmother. Adam's grandfather never married Charles.
“What Suliya said is true, father. At least Ethan's soul mate should be able to add strength to our company, not the origin of women who are not clear,” said Charles.
“At least he is very painstaking and considerate to take care of an old man like me, unlike you guys!” sindir grandpa.

“Ya already! If you don't agree, I'll give the shares to someone else. Please do your best to build a business from scratch!” grandpa said firmly. He casually grabbed the newspaper lying on the bedside table and read it.
His mouth smiled imagining what kind of expression Charles was currently showing. Grandpa doesn't want to give up on giving Ethan a good future. All this time the child had lived enough to suffer from lack of affection. His father only focused on the two children born by his new wife.
Ethan lives under his grandfather's tutelage. Grandfather would not be willing if their family treasures were overrun by greedy women like Suliya. As long as grandfather lives, Charles will not be able to do much to the fate of the company because the largest shares are still held.
“Kak, is it true that you want to be betrothed it's a maid? Isn't grandpa so outrageous?” aiden asked in a whisper. It was as if he was just silent listening to the discussion of the parents.
“Shut! You don't have to comment!” ethan replied in a cold tone. Aiden was silent again.
“Darling, no matter what, just give up on dad,” persuaded Suliya while whispering to the husband. He knew the old man was stubborn indeed and would not allow his plan to be smooth.
“Ethan, how about you? Do you want to follow grandfather's request?” ask Charles.
Ethan nodded. “I want,” answered without hesitation.
They look dumbfounded by Ethan's answer, except for grandfather.
“Ethan, are you sure? She is just an ordinary girl whose origins are unclear.” Charles again confirmed his son's decision.
“Grandpa's choice is definitely the best, Papa. I'd like to obey grandpa.”
Grandpa Adam smiled. His grandson was a good boy and would listen to his advice well.
Charles was not satisfied with his father's will. He hopes Ethan can marry an equal woman.
“Already, Baby! Maybe Ethan's pessimistic father can get an equal companion. Any girl who wants to be with a crippled guy like Ethan,” Suliya whispered.
Charles stared intently at his wife, not liking the words he heard. “You don't talk carelessly about Ethan!” emphatically. He did not accept his son being demeaned.
Charles took a long breath. “Alright if Ethan wants it too. We will prepare a wedding party for Ethan and the girl.”

The wedding day has finally arrived. Grandpa gathers his entire family to attend the wedding party that will take place between Ethan and Scarlett. Many people were against it, but grandfather did not care about their opinions. As long as grandfather was alive, they could not manage his decision if he still wanted to live comfortably with the wealth of the Andalas family.
“Ethan, you're ready, right?” ask grandpa to make sure.
Ethan was already wearing a shirt and suit neatly. He looks so handsome like a prince. He develops a smile to his grandfather as if to tell him that he is okay with the marriage.
Shortly after, two servants walked Scarlett into the room. Today she looks very beautiful in a white wedding dress. Even her beauty left everyone amazed, not expecting Ethan's bride-to-be who was said to be just a maid to be so beautiful.
Even Ethan himself was stunned by the beauty of his future wife. The once adorable teenage girl is now transformed as a beautiful and mature looking princess.
Meanwhile, Scarlett walked with awkward steps past the invited guest whose face was very unfamiliar to her. Although Grandfather said they were all his family, Scarlett felt uncomfortable. Moreover, pay attention to the disparaging gazes of them.
“Scarlett, you are beautiful once,” praise grandpa.
Scarlett smiled. “Thank you, Grandpa,” he said.
“You just focus on your marriage, ignore your uncomfortable feelings. It has nothing to do with them. You understand?” grandfather asked as if he was fond of how Scarlett felt right now.
Scarlett nodded. As long as there was a grandfather who supported him, he felt that everything could be easily dealt with. Moreover, grandfather has been kind enough to pay off all his father's debts, at least he must thank him.
The bride and groom are directed to the wedding altar to say the sacred promise of marriage led by a religious leader. Marriage goes on solemnly without any significant constraints.
“To confirm the sacred promise of marriage, both brides are welcome to kiss,” said the religious leader.

Scarlett wanted to die standing when Ethan's lips touched hers. Even the man not only dipped, but it was like eating his lips until Scarlett was overwhelmed to take a breath. The hot kiss that lasted for more than a minute left all the guests dumbfounded, not expecting Ethan who always looked calm to be able to show the other side.
"Eh, Ethan can be ferocious too huh, as it turns out," one guest commented while holding back a laugh.
"His name is also a normal man, see what a beautiful wife can stand," said another guest.
They were amused by the shocking mannerisms the bride and groom performed. Meanwhile, there was a woman who looked upset at their happiness. With a mutant look, he left the party venue before greeting his two brides.
