The Love Story of Children Santri

The Love Story of Children Santri
Chapter 71

Kiyai's eye beads moved to the right and left sides. Staring at the two guests in front of him alternately. Seeing a female guest who was no stranger to him, it was Sherly who came a few days ago and the male guest who had also met him some time ago.

The question is, why are the two of them coming together today? What's their relationship? So Kiyai did not stop looking at his guests alternately.

"Abraham?" call him.

Abraham was the son of his friend. They came to propose to Asthma. However, suddenly today Ibrahim comes asking Kiyai to marry her to Sherly.

Not legally and legally married but married siri. However, it remains religiously legitimate.

"Ibrahim, you didn't come here to propose to any of the students here. Except to marry this woman. Do you know who this woman is?"

"Know Kiyai sir. And she's pregnant now."

Kiyai breathed deeply. "It's true that Sherly is pregnant. Are you the man ...."

"No Kiyai," refuted Ibrahim who understood where Kiyai was saying. "I didn't impregnate anyone. It is impossible for me to do a deed that is strictly forbidden and hated by God."

"Then how do you know? And why do you want to marry her while the woman you marry is pregnant."

Ibrahim took a deep breath before telling him the beginning of his meeting with Sherly. Until the reason that decided to get married. Kiyai and the family are no less surprised, hearing the story of Sherly being forced to abort by her mother and they praise Ibrahim for helping Sherly.

"The other day your mother came back looking for you" Kiyai told Sherly. "After hearing your story we understood why you left. We praise you for wanting to keep the baby" she continued.

"Are you sure you're getting married? And you are Ibrahim, how can you marry if there is no guardian? Your parents are not present in your marriage either."

"I'll just marry her by way of siri."

"Stay siri or legally married must be on the condition that two witnesses and guardians. If there is no guardian then it is not legal."

They were confused about how to tell their parents. Ibrahim doubts that his father and mother will accept Sherly as his wife. So did Sherly who was afraid her mother's anger was mounting.

"Sorry Abah." It was not Abraham or Sherly who said, but Eve who asked.

"Yes what's wrong?"

"Well, isn't it illegal for pregnant women to marry? Except waiting for that woman to give birth."

Kiyai smiled. "Who said?"

"There are two different opinions about the marriage of an extramarital pregnant woman. Some say legitimate there are those who say illegitimate or haram because it has not expired the period of iddah. But in the Quran there are three verses that allow the marriage of pregnant women outside marriage Q. S. An-Nisa verses 22, 23, and 24.

Pregnant women out of wedlock are different from pregnant women in the iddah period or in the stay of the dead husband. So for them it is not legal marriage before the end of the iddah period or marriage after giving birth. While pregnant women out of wedlock do not have iddah because those who have iddah are only those who are married. So pregnant women out of wedlock remain legal" Kiyai explained.

"So it's allowed? What if the one who married her wasn't the man who impregnated her?" Eve's curiosity continued to grow, the more eagerly asked.

"The man who impregnated her or not the marriage remains legal. However, even so Islam still strictly prohibits those who commit adultery. Do not doubt that your marriage will be lawful you are free to commit adultery which is clearly a great sin and in hatred of God." Kiyai's eyes glanced at Sherly, making Sherly keep her head down.

"Do you understand, Eve?"

"Understanding Abah."

"Alhamdulillah. Now we continue on with your problems. Ibrahim, Sherly better call your parents to come here. If you're afraid let me call them."

Kiyai and Ummi tell their families. However, after coming indirectly to find Sherly with her mother for the sake of comfort with Kiyai and Ummi talking from heart to heart with them, trying to give understanding and hope Mariska is lethargic and accepts her daughter's marriage.

"Hows it? The marriage or abortion path you would choose for your daughter? Which if having an abortion is the same as adding sin to your daughter and making her suffer. But the marriage path is God willing the best path for your daughter let alone there is a good man and a sholeh who will marry your daughter."

Mariska and husband pondered for a moment thinking about what was best for his daughter. And they confess wrong all this time have been parents who are temperament, and do not care. They also agreed to the marriage.

But there is one thing that has not finished the problem. Abraham's parents would have opposed the marriage. They don't want their son to be responsible for someone else's mistakes. Marrying Sherly wasn't her fault.

"Can't be Ibrahim. Mama disagreed. What would people say if your wife was pregnant they would assume you did. And what about Mom and Dad? We will bear the shame and humiliation of them."

All will connect it with the views of others who are not necessarily their views like what on us? Either good or bad. Positive or negative, not necessarily they care about our lives. But why is everyone always concerned with the views of others who sometimes look at us one eye.

"Abrahim isn't there another woman? There are still many good women you can marry."

"Why Om? Is Sherly not a good woman?"

Eve heard all the conversations of that one family. His heart ached when his friend was humbled. Will a bad person always be looked upon badly? Even Allah can forgive the sins of his great servant and give him the opportunity to repent. Why can't a human accept someone's flaws just because that person has a stain doesn't even give a chance.

"Islam allows them to marry, why don't you? If you think her pregnancy is a big disgrace, describe that Sherly is not a good woman. Then do you think that good women are righteous women, religious devout like santri for example they must also have a bad side before becoming a righteous woman. All women or men even religious leaders must have experienced the difficult things that are at this point. Where everyone doesn't look at her."

They all fell silent.

"You should be grateful to have a son like Abraham, who will sincerely marry a woman with the intention of worship to help and guide her to the right path. Do you as parents not support your son's goodwill?" In an instant Eve shut their mouths.
