Chapter 21 - Friends is Beautiful

In the corner of the room at the corner, Minah sat down while slapping her face on her knees. He felt ashamed because he had guessed wrongly, slandered and also embarrassed by his teachers. 

Especially when apologizing in front of all the children. Afraid, if no one believes him anymore and shun him. 

But that was just his fear. The proof is that currently his roommate still cares. Perhaps only Eve could not forgive because she was the one who had been slandered. 

Aisyah and Shia entered the room, both of them looking at each other when they heard Aminah's cry in the corner of the room. They approached Aminah. 

"What is your minah?" aisyah asked, but Minah still did not answer and remained in her position, burying her face on both knees.

Aisyah looked at Asiyah, for a second her shoulders were lifted she did not know what was going on with Aminah, asking Asiyah to ask her friend.

Asiyah squatted her body with Minah's body. He gently rubbed Minah's shoulder and said, "Minah? Why crying? Tell me, did we have anything wrong?" ask Asiyah gently. 

Finally Minah looked up, her face was very wet, and her eyes looked puffy, probably from crying for too long. 

His hand wiped the remains of tears on his cheek. Then he looked at his two friends in turn. 

"I'm ashamed Shah, all the children of Santri must now be cornered me. I don't mean to slander, I just say what I see" Aminah said. 

Asiyah smiled too. 

"So that's why you're crying? Never draw conclusions without finding out the truth. Who said the santri cornered you? That's just your estimate, right?" 

Minah just shut up. 

"Remember said Mr. Kiyai. Tabayyun, look for the truth first, check first before spreading something. None of us has cornered you or hated you. Humans do wrong things that are normal but remember not to repeat again," added Asiyah. 

"Right, what Asiyah said. Don't cry anymore, make the event a lesson for you. And for all of us here." Aisyah added.

"I know, from the beginning you didn't like Eve very much, which is why you were so enthusiastic about spreading bad news about her. I don't know what reason you hate him, but .. Try to get to know him better, Eve's a good boy, not necessarily what you think of him as bad as you think." 

Aisha and Asiyah hoped that Minah and Eve would become friends. I hope the misunderstanding between the two of them is over soon. 

A Muslim with other Muslims are brothers, so there is no proper hatred rooted in them, long-lasting hostility, and spiteful nature that undermines their morals. 

Islam is mercy or in His famous language is compassion. So there is no day without love, and the practice of love is a practice until death. 

Allah says: "The believers are brothers, so make peace between your brothers, and fear Allah, so that you may have mercy." (QS.Al-Hujurat {49}:10). 

The door of the room opened, the three students in the corner of the room turned towards the door where Eve was standing. As soon as their eyes met, Eve's eyes stared intently at Minah. 

For a second Minah lowered her eyes, whether she was embarrassed or feeling guilty. 

"Come here" called Ayesha, but Eve passed by her bed. 

"Your characters are there to gather together those who slander. You will be in slander as well." Eve quipped with her eyes. 

Minah's face was red like a tomato, how she wanted to apologize, while Eve's attitude was cold to her. There will be no sorry door for him. 

Aisha walked up to Eve, and sat down beside her. 

"Why did you say that Eve, Minah would have apologized. So forgive, God alone always forgives his servant why we as humans cannot forgive each other. Living well together is much better, peaceful and serene unlike living a hostile life." 

"Sorry! Ck, I'm lazy sorry about that rich guy." 

That was how Eve was, she would not care about other people's feelings, let alone that person had already hurt her. 

Asiyah led Aminah to stand before Eve, but Aminah did not dare. However, Asiyah and Aisha continued to persuade Minah to apologize to Eve. 

With doubt Minah approached Eve and apologized to her. 

"I'm sorry I've wrongly accused and ended up slandering your brother. I don't know if you guys ...," said Minah stuck because Eve cut her off.

"Then ask first, don't just spread the news!" ketus Eve. 

"Have Eve, pity Minah. He apologized and admitted his mistake. Come on Eve, we're all forgiving friends. Remember the loh hating is sin, the hostile more than three days is sin." 

With laziness Eve rolled her eyeballs together with a heavy exhale. 

In his heart he still did not accept and could not forgive. But his two friends continued to persuade him with the hadith. 

So that Eve's hand moved to hold Minah's hand. And they shake hands too. 

"Well, that. If I'm good, don't be hostile anymore." 

Smiles from Ayesha and Asiyah. Eventually, his two friends were reconciled. Although their hearts have not fully forgiven, may Allah SWT always open the door of their hearts so that they are closer and closer.

Time shows at 03.00 in the morning, time to practice night prayers at one third of the night. 

All the santri woke up and purified themselves before finally going to the mosque to perform evening prayers. But not with Eve still snoring in her sleep. 

Aisha and Asiyah had awakened him but had no influence. Then Minah tried to wake him up, by whispering something in his ear, telling him if there was a Lili Ustadzah outside.

Instantly Eve opened her eyes and woke up running to the bathroom to take ablution. Aisha, Asiyah, and Minah just laughed at her behavior. 

After Eve had finished they left together. 

Along the way Eve's eyes kept closed because she was still sleepy, so she did not see the road properly. 

"Revelation Eve!" minah's shout that clasped her hand made Eve's steps stop.

"What the hell!" ketus Eve immediately released her hand.

"That's a hole, muddy again. If you step on your clothes dirty and unclean." Minah reminded, Eve just kept quiet while looking at the hole. 

"Don't care," he said and walked away. Minah could only take a long breath. Must be patient in facing the nature of Eve. 

Arriving at the mosque they all perform tahajud prayer, then continued by teaching. Eve and Minah sat side by side. 

Eve remembers what Amira said, the little girl memorizing 30 Juz. Surah at one third of the night. Eve, also made the opportunity to memorize. 

However, Eve forgot her ways. So many times he memorized always wrong and forgot, Minah who listened immediately helped him. 

No matter Eve refused her help, Minah kept trying. 

"Even you're memorizing? Here I help." 

"No, no" to Eve. 

"Let it be easy, I will see the Quran if you are wrong I will justify. And the way you can read it first until 7 back, after that you can immediately memorize it. For example, from verses 1 to 10 you read first to 7 back, then you read again by memorizing. Want me to help you?" 

At first Eve was silent. After thinking about it, Eve did need help to quickly memorize. Moreover, today must setor memorization of 10 verses if joined with the previous verse amounted to 40 ayal, sometimes he forgot. 

"I'm not asking for help, you're offering." Prestigious Eve, wanted to be helped but did not want to ask.

Eve began memorizing and Minah remained focused on the Quran, seeing the law of tajwid and mahorijul letters. 

Aisyah and Asiyah unintentionally saw the compactness of the two of them, they felt happy and grateful. His two friends are getting more familiar now.
