The Love Rhyme of Kawa

The Love Rhyme of Kawa
SCK 7: Other Side

"Do you want to add, Ma'am?" ask Kawa kindly to the buyer in front of her. No stranger, because she's the girl he was chasing with his bike this morning.

"Oh already, this is it" said Zahra without noticing the face of the other person, his two beautiful eyes were on his bag, his right hand looking for the wallet in it.

Kawa calculates the price of the groceries Zahra bought, she notices what the girl is buying.

"All RP. 75,000" said Kawa friendly.

"Oh this" Zahra handed over 2 pieces of money 50,000 an. Zahra accidentally saw the face of the man in front of her. His memory was on his face this morning.

"Eh Masnya, thank you this morning for helping" he said with a thin smile that was almost invisible.

Kawa prints Zahra's receipt, and gives the girl change.

"Sama-sama Mbak" replied Kawa kindly. Zahra received receipts for groceries and change from Kawa. "Thank you for shopping at our store, please come back later" Kawa added.

Zahra carries a grocery bag containing snacks, after teaching her to shop for snacks at home.

"Ehem...." Alya cleared her throat seeing Kawa still watching Zahra until she disappeared from her sight. He was aware as Alya approached. "Beautiful, huh?" Alya giggles.

"Eh Alya" Kawa immediately turned her gaze to Alya who was teasing her. There was indeed no more conversation with the girl, but for some reason there was something interesting for her.

"Good afternooneeee" said Rendi shortly after opening the store door. Kawa who saw Rendi coming, immediately moved from her place. That means her working hours are over, and she'll be ready to go home. "Is this what it's like to pull up your conversation?" serobot Brandy.

"Someone seems to be in love with this Mas" Alya still teases Kawa.

"Wow...good news, who?" said Rendra while standing at the cashier table. Kawa glanced at the giggling Rendra.

"A girl with hijab?" added Rendra, Kawa who was preparing to leave the store, again stopped his steps. Rendra is like a psychic. He did not reply, after seeing Rendra, he pushed back the door of the store and left them both. He's not angry at all.

"Bundaaaa" cried the little girl shortly after seeing Zahra coming and had not had time to take off her pink helmet.

"Assalamualaikum" Zahra said to the girl, her hand putting her helmet on the motorcycle seat.

"Waalaikumsalam" the girl replied as she grabbed Zahra's hand. "Mother bring what?" the little girl asked loudly, looking very happy to see Zahra coming. Zahra grabbed the pocket of crackle on his bike.

"Hihhh my favorite snack" she cried happily. "Thank you Mother...."

"Beloved together" Zahra held the girl's tiny hand. The girl walked cheerfully, her right hand holding Zahra's hand, her left hand holding a crackle.

"Zahrah....!" the voice he knew so well was calling his name.

"Yes Dad?" Zahra replied, she stopped her steps. And so did the little girl.

"Dira.....Dira go inside first yes, please eat first what is in this crackle, Mommy wants to talk to Grandpa" said Zahra while bowing.

"Yes Mother" replied Zahra while releasing her hand grip that had been attached to Zahra's fingers. With his small steps he left Zahra. Zahra smiled at Dira's behavior, yes the little girl named Dira.

"What do you think of your husband?"

Zahra was silent for a moment, again her father discussed it. It was as if he was running out of words to string together the answers that had to come out of his mouth.

"Do you really believe the news?" ask his father again. In her little heart, Zahra felt that her father could not accept the reality.

"Well, it's been almost 2 years..."

"It's been....I understand the direction you're saying, the point is you think he's gone, is that it?" Father confirmed.

Zahra.

"So someone proposed to you" said his father flat. Zahra looked at her father, surprised to hear the words.

Who is that guy? Zahra looked back.

"Have you been in a relationship with someone you didn't know?" asked his father in a slightly raised tone.

Zahra hurriedly shook her head, not even familiar with men. All he did was work while out of the house, after teaching he would go home and play with Dira.

"He's smearing Dad's face, what about your in-laws if he finds out about this? huh uh?" murkaniah.

Zahra was still down, not knowing what to do.

"You don't lie to Zahra"

"Sorry Dad, but don't you know that Zahra never lied to you about all of Zahra's relationships?" Zahra tried to defend herself.

His father saw him sharply, Zahra looked down again.

"Well how did he come to propose to you? even Dad doesn't know his background, it's rude of him to propose to someone's wife!" coined.

Zahra exhaled slowly, "Dad...So far Zahra has never been in a relationship with anyone like Father's request and Zahra's sense of responsibility to su.suami Zahra" her responsibility was stifled. "So Dad don't worry, even if someone comes here, it's not because of Zahra Yah" he added.

Zahra resigned from her father, she immediately went into her room changed clothes and performed prayers. After he sat down on the prayer mat, occasionally he took a deep breath releasing his heartbreak.

His memory goes back to the events of the past, when the news was heard. Where there are some soldiers missing on the battlefield. At that time her husband became one of the missing and not found until now. Many believe that she died, but no idea what beliefs make her father always sure if her husband is still alive.

The day after the wedding, where Zahra should have felt the happiness of a newlywed was gone because her husband had to return to duty in a warring area. She was willing to let her husband go until now she never came back.

At first she still believed the news was hoax, and her husband would return. But in the end he was sincere and believed that this was the destiny of God.

Although the marriage was done by matchmaking, Zahra accepted it. I didn't know it would end up like this.

Zahra took off her face and folded it, then kept it on a small shelf near her king. She paused for a moment to look at a wedding photo of herself and her husband.

"Mas.may you be happy wherever you are" he said while rubbing the face in the photo. "Oh Allah help me live my next life, may you understand what I feel" he said. He put his body on the bed and closed his eyes.
