Chapter 18 – Sick on His Birthday

"Hello, who is this? " ask Aura at an unknown person. Even so, he still wanted to pick up the phone even though he was a little disturbed.

The sound of the aura was different from usual. But the person who heard it did not bother and immediately introduced themselves. Because this is the first time he's called the girl.

"I'm Denis, "he said to introduce himself without further ado.

"Well?!" Aura was surprised to make, Aura stared at her phone in shock as she was sitting back then, but her body was too weak now.

"Where did you get my phone number?" asked Aura directly, he was curious how could the man know his mobile number while he only ever shared with his closest friends and was on the campus grub.

"What the hell can't I look for if I want to" Denis replied. Aura only put on an irritated face Denis explanation did not answer any questions Aura asked, but Aura was lazy to argue because she was not feeling well at the moment. He doesn't have enough energy.

"Why call me?" tanya Aura was confused.

"I should have asked why you didn't come to my birthday. " Say Denis immediately did not want any more pleasantries.

"Why, after all, even if I don't come to your birthday, it will still be done right? " thus timpal Aura, he did not tell the truth that he was sick.

"Are you still angry with me to the point of not attending this event. Do I need to pick it up? " ask Denis.

"You don't have to do that, I can't come to your birthday." Aura started to panic on her own, where maybe Aura let Denis leave her party just because of her.

"Umm, and what if I said I was still mad at you for yesterday's trouble." Aura said with a laugh, he jokingly wondered what Denis wanted to do if he was still angry.

"So that's the problem I'm gonna come pick you up and take you to this party. " Denis said directly he thought Aura was serious, to be honest he still felt guilty because of his words and was afraid that Aura was really angry.

"You can still talk like that to people you're obviously playing with. " Say Aura instead continued her words while letting out her annoyance indeed.

"I'll bet your words right now are just bragging, " Said Aura again, he took out everything he wanted to talk about at this moment.

"This time I'm not messing with Aura. I regret saying that to my friends yesterday. I really want to be close to you. And apologize for saying that." Denis said regretfully, even though in the depths of his heart he wanted more than just to be friends with Aura, he still continues to deny his feelings.

"I hope your words this time it's not kidding, to be honest from here it sounds very serious and somehow I get goosebumps because of your words, you are serious it turns out creepy." Said Aura laughing blandly.

"I'm not joking Aura, " said Denis seriously from across the street.

"That's it, but I'm sorry I really couldn't attend your birthday. " Say Aura once again regretted also not being able to come because of illness.

"Why?" ask Denis.

"I'm coming home, and I'm in my house now. My mom suddenly asked me to come home suddenly." Said Aura lying he did not want to say if he was sick and was lying weak in his bedroom bed.

Aura thought that if Denis knew she was sick the man would actually leave from her birthday party, even though Aura felt that Aura's thoughts were a little exaggerated, because I made sure Denis would come if he knew he was sick. But Aura remained on guard for that to not happen.

"Uhuk! Uhuk! " Aura was already unable to contain her cough.

"You're not lying Aura, are you not hurting?" guess Denis from across there started to realize something was strange, he realized Aura's voice had changed a little.

"I'm not sick" said Aura reassuringly.

"I was just wondering why your voice changed like never before. " Say Denis was curious.

"Yes, I was called my mama for dinner, no need to wait for me. I really couldn't come. I'm sorry." Aura hung up the phone.

"Who called you Ra? " tanya Desta brought her some porridge.

"Friends" said Aura, putting her phone down she actually felt guilty for lying to Denis. But he didn't want to look face to face in front of Denis.

Even Aura still thought that the man was just messing with his words like before. But Aura could not guess what Denis' real thoughts were, because Aura already felt betrayed, Aura found it very difficult to believe in Denis again.

Denis for Aura is really great at theatrics. He could not distinguish the man was sincere or not when close to him, he thought the man did want to make friends initially and it really looked sincere and from the heart, he said, until finally he accidentally heard the man's own explanation to his friends. Honestly speaking, Aura did not want to care about that anymore, but it was very hard to forget about it as well.

Aura then ate the porridge made by Desta trying to fight the feeling of no appetite and after that they both fell asleep. Desta that night chose to stay in Aura's room. While guarding the Aura who was sick.

"You sure Ra, you want to go to college?" ask Desta to worry.

"Your fever has not yet come down completely," said Desta still commemorating Aura.

"I'm sure, it's not like last night anyway now that I can get up and walk. Although still a little dizzy but this is not too much of a problem." Aura said with a smile but did not deny her face was still pale, she was still sick but still forced herself.

Finally they reached the gates of their Faculty. In the main hall Desta parted ways with Aura.

"Aura I want to go to the broken perpus, there's a book I have to return now. " Desta said and Aura nodded.

Usually he will come with Desta if it's like this but at this time his body feels bad anyway he is still sick. And not too strong to walk.

While going through the silent corridor towards her class, Aura was intercepted by three people who used to disturb her. This time he could not fight because he was not feeling well.

"Hey, what you did to Denis last night, ever since we heard him call you last night at his birthday party, just to let you be on the show but you didn't come."

"For all of you, he wasn't happy at all when it was his birthday." Said One of the girls pushing out Aura's weak body.

"Until it's like that, I think he'll be fine without me." Inner Aura finally realized that Denis was really sorry about his words at that time and it was evident to the people who saw his sadness at his birthday party that he should be happy.

"But they're also terrible enough to know Denis called me, how they're trying to figure out." Inner Aura was horrified on her own with the three girls, but there was nothing impossible from an Informatics major child like them if it came to breaking into someone's mobile phone. But there's also no way they can break into Denis' cell phone Denis is a genius.

As a result of that Aura really felt guilty about it. He didn't know if it made Denis really sad.
