Chapter 70 Sacrifice?

The car arrived at the hospital. Hanna was taken straight to the IGD room. The doctor was seen and aided by several nurses to check on Hanna.

Bik Surtik asked Mr. Ipul to contact Denny. The phone calls were made many times, but Denny could not be reached. Mr. Ipul suspects Denny has boarded the plane and the phone should be automatically turned off. He decided to call Denny back after two hours.

After Hanna got help, she was transferred to the treatment room. Bik Surtik accompanies Hanna who is still unconscious. He did not want to go far from Hanna, because tired Bik Surtik also fell asleep with his head leaned on the edge of the bed.

In a different place at the same time, Denny stared at the clock on his wrist. The aircraft was delayed due to weather disturbances. It crossed his mind to call Hanna.

His hand reached into his pocket and grabbed the phone.

The phone that had been turned off, because it was about to enter the plane, was finally turned back on.

Denny's eyes widened, when he saw the call from Mr. Ipul twenty times. Without thinking, Denny called back.

In the hospital, Hanna's eyes slowly opened, her head still hurt a lot. His face was grimacing in pain and his right hand was massaging his forehead to ease the pain. He did not recognize the room occupied was filled with white. His left hand felt a pain moved, Hanna turned her head and an infusion needle was attached to the wrist. Hanna tried to knit back her memories. He can remember everything clearly. Hanna turned to the right, looking Surtik still sleeping. Hanna tried to sit up and lean on the head of the bed.

“Bik, Bik,” Hanna try to wake Surtik bik weakly call.

Bik Surtik woke up, after hearing someone call his name.

“The mrs are conscious? For a moment I call the doctor,” Bik Surtik hastily stepped outside the room to see a doctor.

Before long, Aaron enters Hanna's room with Surtik's bik.

“An, how are you feeling now?” aaron asked while checking on Hanna.

“My head hurts,” answered Hanna still massaging her forehead.

“Do Denny already know Hanna now in the hospital?” Aaron looked at the Surtik bik waiting for an answer.

“Mr Denny has been contacted, but no answer yet. Maybe it was still on the plane, will be contacted again, Mr. Doctor.” Bik Surtik explained to Aaron.

“Alright, can we talk alone?” Aaron looked at Hanna asking for her permission.

“Sure,” Answer Hanna briefly.

“ Bik, wait outside, there's something we want to talk about”, Aaron nods his head gesturing, Bik Surtik understands, and steps out of the room.

Aaron sat on the edge of Hanna's bed, and looked at her deeply. Looking at Aaron's gaze, Hanna shed tears.

“An, does Denny know your illness?” Aaron asked weakly, unable to see Hanna's sadness.

“No,” Hanna's voice sounded hoarse holding back tears.

“Until when are you going to keep it a secret from everyone? Denny has every right to know you have leukemia. I myself found out after seeing the report from the test results. At first I was not sure, I did the test again and several times the results remained the same. Looks like you have followed the treatment process, but because pregnancy is forced to be stopped.” Aaron took a deep breath and let go of the rough.

Hanna is still a thousand languages, she is unable to say a word.

“An, I'm sorry and there's not much I can do. You already know your illness, but why do you let yourself get pregnant. This situation, makes your body weaker and your disease will get worse. Your development is also disrupted. She needs nutrition from her mother. While you also need more nutrition as the endurance of this disease. If it continues like this, one of you will be threatened.” Aaron held onto Hanna's shoulder which was getting late in the grief.

“No, I don't want to lose my baby. I want to keep even my life at stake.” Hanna spoke in tears and stroked her stomach.

“Harun, you're my best friend right?” Hanna clasped Aaron's hand.

“An,” Aaron gazes into Hanna's eyes inside.

“Please promise as a friend not as a doctor. You have to keep my illness a secret, I want this baby to be born. I felt my situation was getting weaker. Denny is not here now, therefore I want to go to the hospital to find out the development of this disease.” Hanna waited for Aaron's answer.

“An, how can I keep this a secret from Denny. You're my best friend, Denny too. I can't possibly do it. I'm sorry,” Aaron pulled his hand from Hanna's.

Denny got out of the taxi to the hospital, after learning about Hanna's condition. He asked Iqbal to take care of all the work in Singapore. Denny entered the hospital. Mr. Ipul saw Denny and approached.

“The lady is already in the master's room, and has not regained consciousness.” Obviously Mr. Ipul.

“Come, drop me off,” Together they both step into Hanna's room.

Bik Surtik sat on a chair in the hallway of the room. From a distance his eyes looked at Denny and Mr. Ipul stepped closer and closer to him.

“Bik, how is Hanna and why not accompany her?” Denny asked astonished with a sharp look at the Surtik Monk outside the room.

“The guy's limp and his nose is bleeding. Because the blood didn't stop we took her to the hospital, on the way the lady passed out. Now the madam is better and is also conscious. Madam on the inside with doctor Aaron, I was asked to go outside because there was something to talk about alone,” Bik Surtik tried to explain so that his employer understood and did not suspect anything.

“What are they talking about?” Questions hang in Denny's mind.

Denny stepped up to the room and stopped in front of the door that was still closed.

Hanna and Aaron are still talking unaware of Denny's presence behind the door.

“Please me Aaron, you should be able to guarantee this baby safe?” Hanna looked at Aaron desperately.

“An, I'm just a doctor not God. We can only try, the rest we leave to Him,” Aaron can not promise Hanna anything.

“Harun, if I have no life expectancy. Better, I sacrificed as long as my baby survived,” Hanna sobbed while saying.

“Who sacrificed for whom, what are you talking about?” There was a sound in the room. Denny stood in front of the door, with a stiffened body listening to the conversation.

“Denny,”

Hanna and Aaron simultaneously stared at Denny's reddened face holding back the anger mixed with sadness.

Seeing Denny's presence, Aaron exchanged glances with Hanna then stood up and stepped at the foot of the bed. Denny steps up to Hanna.

“What are you doing huh? Negotiate without my permission? ” Denny staring hard at Hanna. A clear thread dripped from the corner of Denny's eye.

Hanna was unable to answer, tears getting louder and louder. Hanna covered her face with both palms. The harsh reality will soon be known to Denny, he does not want Denny to be sad and will be depressed again.

Why did Hanna have to sacrifice? Aaron, explain to me,” Denny's voice is getting higher due to uncontrollable anger. Aaron must deal with Denny who has been controlled by anger.

Bik Surtik and Mr. Ipul heard Denny's voice from inside the room.

“Denny hold your emotions first, we are in the hospital is not good like this.”Aaron looked at Denny calmly and patted his shoulder.

“I don't care, tell me what's wrong with Hanna and the baby?” Denny clutched the collar of Aaron's shirt.

“Hanna had leukemia,” Aaron was forced to say because he was pressed in Denny's hand grip.

“What's leukemia? No it must be wrong. Hanna is healthy, she's just exhausted from now being pregnant with our baby. Aaron, are you double? Don't piss me off,” Denny released the clutches of his hands, his body pulled backwards. Aaron's words greatly surprised him.

“Den, this is reality, you should be able to accept it steadfastly ,” Aaron approached Denny who looked puzzled in surprise.

“An, is this true? Denny turned to approach Hanna who was still crying, poking her face with both hands.

“An, please look at me,” Denny's two hands hold Hanna's shoulder and look forward to the answer.

Slowly Hanna lowered her hands and looked at Denny's face before her.

“Mas, I'm sorry. That's all right,” with sadness enveloped, Hanna was forced to admit the illness she had been keeping secret from Denny.

Denny pulls Hanna in his arms. He was deeply saddened to realize what his wife and future baby were going through.

“Denny, I leave you two, when it's quiet come to my office,” Aaron stepped outside the room leaving Denny and Hanna. They both need time together.
