Ch. 70 - After a Long Time of Leaving

In just a short moment alone Elder Shen Xuan had arrived before the gate of the Imperial palace. The gatekeeper who saw the arrival of Elder Shen Xuan immediately stopped him and had Elder Shen Xuan display the token he had in his possession to be sure. Elder Shen Xuan nodded slowly then revealed a golden token patterned with an eagle. The gatekeeper looked confused to see the eagle-patterned Token, because he had never seen such a token.

One of the gatekeepers approached his companion and whispered, "You better call the head of security, I'll take care of this man."

"All right, wait a minute" he answered as he ran inside.

In just a few breaths the guard was back together with an old man who had a beard as thick as a sheep's fleece. The old man looked surprised when he saw a token that he was very familiar with because he himself gave the token to a young man because of Emperor Chen's orders several years ago.

"Geez!!" The middle-aged man approached Elder Shen Xuan, "We as security guards apologize for dismissing master because this token is only known to Emperor Chen and I," He said while saluting.

"Uncle Lee, why is uncle still calling me master?
