Ch. 55 - With Emperor Chen

Emperor Chen and General Chen stared intently at Chen Shui, they both seemed to be asking for an explanation for Rey's words about becoming her future husband. Chen Shui explained that Rey could marry her if she could win the tournament, but she did not know that Rey would take her words seriously.

Rey herself looks very bodo with the surrounding, she even looked at Yui since earlier, her behavior was only realized by Yui herself because everyone at the table was still arguing about Rey's speech.

Yui is certainly embarrassed to be stared at by Rey, any woman would be embarrassed if looked at like that by the man she likes. Rey looks at Yui because she really wants to know which part of Yui she knows, he looks at all the parts in Yui's body to make sure that Yui has indeed met him either in his past life or the present one, but after some time thinking it seems that he was the first time he met Yui.

“Any, who exactly is she.” Rey shook her head slowly and allowed time to answer all her questions.

Soon after, the palace attendants came with food, Rey who saw the steady food in front of the table became violent but somehow she couldn't go crazy in front of Yui and it was very annoying for her, he hated eating as politely as royalty but lately he realized that his attitude and behavior had become like royalty again, although it only appeared if there was Yui but still it was quite confusing for him.

“Evening has arrived, please enjoy this meal sir and miss.” Emperor Chen's reply was a nod and everyone's smiles were spelled out.

The dinner was so beautiful, everyone was eating quietly, no one was talking or eating, everyone was eating very deliciously, even the flies were reluctant to disturb their dinner.

Either by chance or what, Rey and Yui eat the same dish of vegetables, if Yui might still be understood because she is a girl, but Rey? It was very strange because not only he was a man but because he was very fond of any kind of vegetables, but tonight he ate vegetables with delicacies like eating meat, whether he was conscious of what he was eating.

After he finished eating, Emperor Chen invited Rey to speak to him with four eyes, Rey nodded as she actually felt uncomfortable to be sane, he needed a place to channel all his madness even though it was only a forest or a cave though.

The four of them looked at each other, everyone wondering about the reason why Emperor Chen had invited Rey to speak personally, although they did not mind at all but still it was a very strange thing.

Emperor Chen took Rey to the arena behind the palace, where the lake and artificial park are so magnificent, there are even some geese swimming in the artificial lake there. Rey who returned mad left Emperor Chen while he was talking and preferred to soak his feet in the lake.

“Ahhhh.. I do not like peace but this kind of calmness makes me able to feel what life is.” Rey spoke to herself as she moved her feet in the water.

Emperor Chen, who was indeed a relaxed person, immersed his feet with Rey in the lake. Rey flinched, feeling that Emperor Chen was a very relaxed person and did not take things seriously, if his guess was not wrong, perhaps this Emperor Chen was young at heart which meant that he always did whatever he wanted.

“I don't think an emperor like you would do something like this.”

“Life is only once, so why don't we enjoy everything that existed before we left this world.”

Rey smiled and said, “You are right, I am grateful for the life I have, who knows how long we live.”

Emperor Chen flinched, if the one who said that was an old man who had already passed through the sour, sweet, salty, bitter life he would believe, he said, but what uttered the meaning of life just now was a young man who was even younger than his daughter.

“Hm, it hit a huge creature that suddenly struck me with lightning 3 days ago.”

Rey's words made Emperor Chen's eyes glare, he certainly knew about the creature said by Rey because it was the creature that became the scourge of menukan for everyone, even he himself had to lose his father because the creature was none other than the Lightning Dragon.

“Before, you said 3 days ago you were attacked by that creature?!” Emperor Chen asked, clutching Rey's shoulder hard.

Emperor Chen released his grip which made Rey relieved. Rey felt that Emperor Chen was extremely strong, even stronger than General Chen, it was evident from his grip just now as it made his shoulder joint slightly shift.

Rey moved her shoulders until the kreeeeeeekkkkk rang out, to Emperor Chen's surprise, apologizing to Rey for causing him pain, he forgets that Rey is just a little boy whose strength is not how much even though he is still in doubt about whether Rey is really a boy, because Rey told him herself that she was 12,710 years old and no human being young or old who did not shout when her bone joints shifted.
