Ch. 23 - Dying

Inside the recovery room Rey and Zenith lay unconscious watched over by Patriarch Mo and the other Elders. They all have the same reason now that is to see Rey's condition getting weaker and weaker.

Elder Fengyi who has the best medical abilities in the Blue Sea Sect is now struggling to make Rey's body condition improve. However, it seems that his efforts turned out to be fruitless, even now Rey is not breathing at all.

“Patriak, how is this?! This boy's heartbeat is there despite being very weak, but the strange thing is that he's not breathing at all!” Elder Fengyi certainly panicked to see Rey who did not even exhale at all.

They were all surprised that hearing that was shocked instead of playing, the heart still beating even though it was not breathing? Rey is probably the only one who has this condition.

“What do you mean by he is not breathing but his heart is still beating?” Patriarch Mo asked with a flat expression.

Although Patriarch Mo was extremely dislikeful of Rey's nature and behavior, even since they first met he had always fought, argued, and also insulted each other. However, the reality is that he himself is the most panicked when he learns of Rey's unfavorable condition even though his expression shows no concern at all.

"I can't explain his condition, because it's also the first time I've seen someone like this." Said Elder Fengyi.

“Do you guys not have any pills or anything that could make this crazy boy's state improve? Even his face was now as deathly pale as that.” Patriarch Mo said as he pointed towards Rey whose face was now as pale as losing all of her blood, even her own hands were turning blue like corpses.

When Rey got out of control the dark seal on her body was weakened, that's why she had unconsciously made the seal of the three gates of darkness on her body leak. The dark force he had sealed was extremely dangerous to his life, because it was not just an ordinary dark force, it was a real darkness.

Rey sealing her dark power is nothing but so that her body does not explode due to the overflowing power of darkness. He sealed his dark power into 7 parts namely the first seal had 5% of his total dark force power, the second seal was 10%, the third seal was 10%, the fourth seal was 10%, the fifth seal was 10%, the sixth seal is 20%, and the last the seventh seal that has the most dark power is 35℅.

When the seventh seal is released, it is certain that all the forces of darkness will eat up any life around it, even the ground will die.

However, it seems that Rey is not aware that if the seal has a very fatal weakness, the more emotional she is, the weaker the seal, too, it wasn't even impossible if the seal he put up could be destroyed when he lost control like it had happened in the Warehouse Sect before.

Every time Rey unseals the darkness, her body is weighed down by immense force, the more she unseals, the more dark forces weigh on her.

As it is today, Rey's body condition is very bad because it is burdened with the power of darkness that exceeds her ability. If the condition of his body does not improve within 1 hour, then it is certain that he will not be able to see the sun tomorrow.

Rey was actually still conscious, she could even still hear the conversations of those around her, only that her current body condition was very bad, to the extent that he could not use his holy fire to restore the condition of his body.

But who would have thought? When they were desperate suddenly there was someone who broke into the recovery room, that person was none other than Yui.

“Rey!” Yui shouted loudly as she ran towards Rey who was lying stiff on the bed.

Yui sobbed near Rey's body which left everyone there confused. They all did not understand why Yui was crying over the dying crazy boy, even Patriarch Mo himself could not believe that his beautiful Princess could cry, because as she remembered Yui never once cried after the departure of her mother.

“Dad, quickly do something!” Yui was certainly sad and panicked because she felt Rey's body temperature was very cold, even her face had turned white.

“Rey don't go, I beg you, hiks... hiks.” Yui said softly on the sidelines of her cries.

Miracle ensues when Yui's tears fall right into Rey's face, Rey's eyes suddenly open and everyone is shocked, even some Elders ran out of the room like after seeing a ghost.

Yui seems to be unaware that Rey who is in her arms is conscious. While Rey was seen glancing at everyone there, she also glanced at Yui who was crying while hugging her body.

At this time Rey can not feel his body at all, even just moving fingers can not. However, somehow his body suddenly had a little strength, but before he was very sure if his body was already on the threshold, even he could die at any time.

“Yui, can you step aside first?” Rey said very slowly, almost barely audible.

Yui in fact did not hear Rey's words at all, she was forced to glance at Patriarch Mo, and signal the eyes. As he understood the meaning of Rey's eye gesture, Patriarch Mo immediately approached his daughter.

“Yui, that crazy boy is conscious, but you need to step aside first, because it looks like he wants to do something with his body.” Patriarch Mo's soft speech but it can be heard clearly in Yui's ears.

Yui then turned to look at Rey's face, and how unbelievable she was because she saw Rey who had opened her eyes even though her condition was still not good at all.

“R-Rey?!”

“Yui, can you step aside first, I want to treat my wound.”

Yui did not understand Rey's words in the slightest, but did not reject them either. He immediately released his embrace and shifted his body 1 meter away from Rey's body.

Seeing that, Rey quickly let out her holy fire, and fixed her already almost stiff body like that of a corpse.

Yui is certainly surprised to see a white object enveloping Rey's entire body, and it doesn't take long until Rey's body has fully recovered.

While Patriarch Mo who had indeed from the beginning had seen the sacred fire of Rey even though only in an instant still felt surprised, he faintly smiled because it turned out that his vision at that time was not wrong.

“Hais, I thought I was going to die.” Said Rey slowly while moving her hands that were still a little stiff despite having recovered.

Yui could not hold back her joy anymore, she quickly hugged Rey tightly. While Patriarch Mo who saw his daughter hugging the crazy boy right in front of her was a little emotional, yet he did not take any action and only displayed his ferocious face as if he wanted to strangle Rey.

Rey did not return Yui's embrace because her hands were still a little stiff. He was quite jolted because it turned out that Patriarch Mo chose to defend him even though he had intended to kill him.

Faintly Rey smiled because according to her life this time she has some people who really uphold the meaning of loyalty and more surprising it turns out they really care about her.
