The Legend of the Cultivation World
The Silver Association's

"Excuse me Madam. Can I go inside? There are two men who want to meet you." Dierja knocked on the door while saying in a tone that showed respect.

Meanwhile behind the door Madam Maharani was talking with two acquaintances while drinking tea. If seen then they are like a gathering of high-class women who have their own influence in several Kingdoms.

Hearing Dierja's voice from behind the door, Madam Maharani frowned while drinking tea. He had not received the appointment before, yet there were now two men who wanted to meet him.

"Worked, have you forgotten the rules? Just throw them out, I don't have time to meet unimportant people." Madam Maharani refused in a cold tone.

Although Madam Maharani's voice sounded vague, Deswara and Indera could catch her. They were of course instantly alarmed when chased out by the Silver Association's owner.

Dierja who saw the worry on the faces of Deswara and Indera immediately calmed them down. He certainly would not let the envoy sent all the way by Arya return empty-handed.

"Sorry before, Madam. You may get some surprising news from them. I beg you to think it over, before regretting it a second time."

A thin smile was engraved on Dierja's face after giving a suggestion containing a hint to Madam Maharani. Every word he spoke was certainly not without reason, but there was something hidden behind it.

Madam Maharani again frowned upon hearing the plea from Dierja not to rush in deciding to expel the two men who wanted to meet her personally.

There are things that attract the attention of Madam Maharani when interpreting every word of Dierja, especially when hearing the last sentence spoken by her adopted child.

"All right, let them both in." Madam Maharani gave Dierja permission to bring the two men into her room.

Dierja nodded in understanding then invited Deswara and Indera into a room that could not be entered by anyone carelessly.

There was a smile of satisfaction on the faces of Deswara and Indera when they got permission to meet with the owner of the largest trade association in the Continent.

But they also immediately become nervous because they will meet people who have a higher position than the Kings, and this is a pretty complicated issue because you have to talk to people with such a high social caste.

Once inside Deswara and Indera immediately presented with expensive interior in the room. They then sit on a pad that has been prepared.

Deswara and Indera's views were then directed towards a curtain. They could vaguely see the silhouettes of some women behind the thin curtains. Just looking at the silhouette alone could make Deswara and Indera know that there is a beauty hiding there.

He sat a few steps in front of Deswara and Indera while facing the thin black curtain. Wait until some of the women there ask questions.

"So who are they? Seen from anywhere it seems like the two men are from a remote area." Madam Maharani asked as she watched Deswara and Indera.

The simple clothes worn by Deswara and Indera have made Madam Maharani know if they are not from the upper class.

Honestly when he saw the two men, Madam Maharani was actually lazy to face them because she realized there was no profit for her if the two men asked her for help.

"They were emissaries from Madya City who were sent to ask for help, as they would face a food crisis." Reply Dierja while handing General Black Flag tokens to Madam Maharani's personal servant.

Dierja learned the information that Kota Madya will experience a food crisis, after talking for a while with Deswara and Indera before while heading to the room belonging to Madam Maharani.

Madam Maharani received the token of the Black Flag General which was brought by her personal servant. He then checked the token thoroughly to find out its authenticity.

"Oh... I remember, wasn't he the young man who won the Military competition a few months ago?" Madam Maharani slightly recalled the figure of the young man who became one of the Color Flag Generals just for winning the Military competition.

Honestly, Madam Maharani was amused to remember how the Supreme Commander held a competition to find a new Color Flag General.

Not without reason Mrs Maharani felt a way to choose a new candidate for the Color Flag General. To determine the candidate General who even has a position above ordinary Generals, the way carried out by the Supreme Commander is quite ridiculous.

Only with a fighting competition should not be the main factor to choose a General, let alone the class of a Color Flag General who is the core strength of the Kingdom of Brawijaya.

Madam Maharani thought the Supreme Commander should choose the new Color Flag General from several factors. For example, long served as a soldier, dedication to the Kingdom, to experience and record contributions on the battlefield.

"yes Madam. The decision is in your hands now. Whether we should help this food crisis, or let thousands of people of Madya City die en masse."

Dierja once again reminded Madam Maharani to think about her answer carefully. This matter did not concern a single person, but rather thousands of people who were heavily dependent with the help of the Silver Association.

Madam Maharani sighed softly and threw back the token of the Black Flag General to Dierja. "I'm sorry but I can't help you with this."

The faces of Deswara and Indera instantly turned deathly pale after hearing the answer from the owner of the Silver Association. Their only hope of preventing a food crisis is now gone.

If it is like this then there is no way other than to sacrifice some people to support the rest. This may sound very discriminatory, but they have no choice but to survive the food crisis.

"Madam I ask to think about your decision again. Before things are really too late and a fractured relationship can't come back!"

For the first time in his life Dierja raised his tone to the figure of his adoptive mother. This sounds crazy and risky. But Dierja did not want Madame Maharani to regret for life after refusing help to the people of Madya City.

"Take your tone, Dierja! I don't understand why you insisted on helping them. Once again I hear this tone of your voice, you'll know the consequences!" Madam Maharani threw her cup through the curtain and hit Dierja's forehead until it bled.

On the other hand Anjani and Arista who saw the rigors of Madam Maharani's principle could only shake their heads. Both of them did not understand what their juniors were going through until it eliminated humanity.

"Maharani's... Are you sure of your decision. You better think it over." Anjani as the oldest tried to advise Madam Maharani.

Arista responded to Anjani's words with a nod. He said the issue is not about profit alone, but the humanity to help thousands of people.

"Nothing to think about. Do you not remember if the residents of Madya City were deliberately sent there to be removed. Moreover, there are rules from the Palace that do not allow to help them."

Madam Maharani insisted on refusing to help the people of Madya City. Because he realized his trade license would be revoked by the Palace if it violates the rules that have been applied. He wanted to help, but the rules forced him to refuse.

Deswara and Indera clenched their fists until they bled. Both of them now understood the position of the people of Madya City was not at all concerned by his own Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Dierja is now no longer able to do anything because it failed to convince Mrs Maharani. But he didn't just give up.

Given how Arya cares for the people of Kota Madya, Dierja certainly can not stay silent. There is a lot of debt that he receives and certainly has to be paid.
