In the Western Imperial palace that its owner was abandoning went to war, the Empire's high-ranking officials who were largely unsupportive of Emperor Bernard's decision to attack Qiao Kingdom, were, they agreed to take over the palace and the Western Empire from Emperor Bernard. However, after the deterioration of relations of the Western Empire and the Shu Empire that could be said to be the new ruler of the Eastern region, the, the inhabitants of the Western Empire began to experience a food crisis after the eastern region no longer sold basic necessities to the western region. The peak of the food crisis occurred when winter came, which after four months passed the winter did not end.

“Emperor Bernard has made people's lives wracked with misery. As representatives of the people of the Western Empire it is time that we uphold justice for them. Mastering this palace is the beginning of for us to uphold justice for the entire people of the Western Empire!” shouted one of the high officials of the Western Empire.

After capturing the entire Imperial family and giving the death penalty on the spot to all of Emperor Bernard's supporters, the high-ranking officials of the Western Empire decided to send an apology letter to the Shu Empire. The letter also states that the Western Empire was no longer ruled by Emperor Bernard. The leader's seat was still empty and no one had occupied it yet.

After the letter was written, ten warriors rushed to deliver the letter directly to the Shu Imperial palace via the path that passed through the Zang Kingdom. They were unlikely to pass through the path that passed through the Qiao Kingdom since there was currently bound to be a battle going on at that place. “Good Prince..” The two Generals immediately left Prince August, then they prepared all the soldiers so that they would continue their journey.

“Your Majesty, I confess my guilt for daring to insult Imperial Empress Shu. Servants deserve to die, but I beg you to forgive my son! He does not know about this problem.” Emperor Bernard kneeled before Qin Chen.

“We are not making an offer. So, there's no reason for me to spare your son's life!” Qin Chen shouted out loud.

“I told you that we are not bargaining, but after hearing your sincere plea, I want to end your son's life soon!” Qin Chen took out his sword, pointing the sharp blade of his sword at Crown Prince Arthur's neck.

“Oh yes, as long as you know! Your son had already insulted my Empress by sending a person claiming to be her to snatch the Empress from my side. What he did was much worse than you did, and he deserved to die!”

Qin Chen instantly swung his sword, beheading Crown Prince Arthur in front of Emperor Bernard's two eyes. He did all of that without blinking, even he showed a smile on his face after seeing Crown Prince Arthur's head fall down and roll over the surface of the ground.

Killing without blinking even he was still able to smile. What Qin Chen did showed that he hated the existence of Crown Prince Arthur, and for so long he wanted the man's death.

“Your Majesty Emperor Bernard, don't you think you can enjoy death as quickly as your son! I know that you were waiting for reinforcements before. How about you see the destruction of reinforcements that came before I ended your life?” Qin Chen grinned, making anyone who saw him goosebumps in fear.

“I will kill you if you dare to exterminate the soldiers my second son leads!” Emperor Bernard raised his head, staring intently at Qin Chen.

“Tell me how did you kill me in your current situation?” Qin Chen suddenly gripped the neck of Emperor Bernard.

“Quickly tell me how you want to kill me!” Qin Chen shouted before Emperor Bernard.

“Emperor Bernard, I already know what the current state of the Western Empire is, and I can tell you that you currently have nothing to use to kill me!” said Qin Chen.

“Honestly, had you come with good intentions to the Shu Empire and apologized for all your mistakes, I would gladly have apologized to you, and help the Western Empire overcome the food crisis and thick clothing.”

“But unfortunately you came with soldiers and weaponry that showed you want to fight. I'm sorry, you are indeed doomed to die in my hands, but you will only get that after I annihilate the Western Empire's warriors who come to this place!”

Qin Chen had some soldiers drag Emperor Bernard into the fortress, and without orders from him directly no one could get Emperor Bernard out of the prison.

As he was being dragged to the prison Emperor Bernard began to regret his decision to attack the Qiao Kingdom. After the loss of his first Son, he soon lost his second.

‘If I had not attacked Qiao Kingdom, I would not have suffered such bad luck!’ Emperor Bernard sat down, regretting all his actions.
