THE LAST HOBBIT'S

THE LAST HOBBIT'S
46 - Travel with An

The location of the Clear Forest which is Arslan's destination is very far away. Both of them did go on a broomstick, but of course when the sun was too hot - then Arslan and An would go down and rest.

Similarly, when it gets dark, both also come down and rest under a tree or between large rocks. The food provided by Helena is enough for three days if Arslan does not have too much meal time.

Arslan is seen leaning against a large rock, An has already slept first due to fatigue after using too much magic. Honestly speaking, riding a broomstick takes a lot of magic energy. Moreover, they flew at a decent speed.

"It's starting to torture me.." Arslan was trying to catch his breath. He had already traveled for three days and the first time in his life he had started to limit his meal time.

Arslan was seen drinking water in a leather bag. He exhaled before he began to notice An. The giants of this type of veridis never complained about anything during their travels and to be honest it made Arslan feel bad.

An is too young to make the long and dangerous journey with him. The physical strength of this subject is indeed very impressive, even Arslan admitted it. But still Arslan could not allow this friend to come with him.

Arslan's eyes began to feel heavy and it didn't take long until he fell asleep. The moon was shining brightly enough and this peace made Arslan fall asleep faster than the previous nights.

The distance between Arslan's current location and the Clear Forest still needs a few more days. But before that, Arslan had to pass through a village with a large enough area.

The village was behind a hill not far from where Arslan is now. The village is densely populated and looks very crowded at night.

Two people were seen walking together between the buildings. One of them was a man with a soft glowing lantern in his hand. The subject who could walk beside her was a beautiful girl wearing a large ribbon-shaped hairpin.

"How's the festival tonight?" the man opened his voice. His footsteps were slow, following the steps of the girl beside him.

The beautiful girl bowed, her voice soft and timid as she said. "Sa-very beautiful..."

"Do you want... See the lantern festival again with me?"

"M, uh,"

?!

"Lin?" the man frowned. The girl who had walked with him had gone nowhere. He circulated his gaze and called out the figure, but there was no telling of anything.

"Lin?!" the man gave a pale expression, "Lin..! No kidding. Lin?!"

Panic was seen on the man's face before his eye-sight pointed at something on the ground. He looked next to the sandal he believed belonged to the girl he was with.

The man was very surprised, his feelings became very uncomfortable and panic enveloped him. He ran and shouted, kept calling the girl's name and asking for help.

The disappearance of a girl in a densely populated village is nothing new. This case has happened a lot whether who did it. And this mystery will be the first obstacle to Arslan's journey.

The 1.3-meter-tall young man began to continue his journey back with An. They rode a broomstick and watched the view of the hill not far ahead.

Arslan and An rest well so they can fly even faster. The two men arrived at a village, just as the day began to fall. Arslan decided to go down because in addition to being a form of politeness, he also needed to buy some supplies for his trip.

"............." Arslan noticed the situation in front of him and saw the beauty of this place full of colorful light.

He had just entered the village and the crowd of this place was really so great, just like the crowd in a big city. Though the condition is still not too late and there has been a lot of fanfare that occurs.

"Arslan...?" He seemed to be aware of the unusual conditions around him. They had just entered this village and the crowd that was happening was clearly unnatural.

"It looks like there's a festival" Arslan opened his voice. This was the only answer he could give An and it seemed to be true, considering that there were many buildings around him that were decorated so festively.
