THE LAST HOBBIT'S

THE LAST HOBBIT'S
12 - Fire Lily Flower

...'He found the plant he was looking for, but this place was apparently the nest of a fierce green creature.'...

...*****...

Natur is currently walking in the deepest part of the cave. He held his bow and watched the surroundings intently. His sparrows flew in front and became the pointer of his every step.

The floor with coarse rocks that he pegged was greenish in color and felt a bit slippery. On the ceiling of the cave looks vermelux, a type of fine worm that can emit light from his body.

Because of this beast, Natur did not need to use his magic to light the way. The sparrow continued to fly and got further and further ahead. Nature saw a bluish-green light and faintly heard water droplets.

His footsteps continued to carry Natur further into the cave until his view became clear. He arrived at a place that had a large pond with water that reflected light from the vermelux.

There were aquatic plants and some grasses that Natur saw. This place was much more beautiful and lively than he had witnessed outside this cave.

"Lili, where's the plant?" Nature opened her voice and her sparrows began to fly further until the little animal flew low and surrounded some thick grass.

Nature followed him and reached out to cut the grass that was as tall as her waist. He found many glowing flowers and flying insects. There were many flowers he saw, but only one flower caught his attention.

Nature took out a folded paper from the pocket of her robe. He used light magic to illuminate the paper and now saw the image called the Fire Lily Flower.

The fire lily has a twisted flower and stretches upward, while the flower's pistil faces downward. Ordinary fire lily flowers have soft stems and grow vines.

The leaves of this flower are curved with a pointed tip like a spear eye. Nature can know where lily flowers are looking for among existing plants, because this flower has a unique shape.

Moreover, the color of the flower is quite bright with red at the shoots, then orange, and yellow at the bottom. The petals of this flower are arranged circularly on the stalk and look like a flame tongue that is burning.

Nature had seen enough on her paper and was convinced that this plant before her was what she was looking for. He knew that ordinary fire lilies grew vines, but the fire-rooted lily he was looking for grew upright with a hard stem.

Nature folded the paper back in her hand and then took out her dagger. He also dug the ground around the place without thinking of an awkwardness that Natur should be aware of.

The place where the 14-year-old boy is currently located is in a cave filled with beautiful plants, so well maintained. Even if the cave should have an unpleasant aroma because in the dwellings of nocturnal-cave animals is just the opposite. Feels like.... There are those who treat the condition of this cave so beautiful.

"..............."

Natur looks so happy because he managed to find the plant he was looking for. He was very excited about digging up the ground and completely unaware he was being stalked by something.

The vision of the figure that was stalking Natur was green. He hid behind a stone wall, continued to spy on Natur and then started to slowly approach.

"Rubber fire..!" Nature could already see the roots on the plants she dug up. The sparrows that had previously only noticed Natur were now startled and immediately let out a loud voice to make their owner shocked.

Just as Nature turned around, something jumped about to pounce on her - a cry was heard and a blinding streak of light suddenly appeared.

"Crevaison Lux...!!"

The light thrust was blinding to the eyes. Natur even used his arm to block that blinding light. And when the light began to fade, Nature then began to open her eyes.

The teenager gasped when someone had stood in front of him and this subject he was very familiar with. Nature does not blink and then begins to open the voice calling the subject.

"Arslan?!"

Is correct. The figure that stands, turning his back on Natur at the moment is none other than Arslan. The young man who only had a body height of 1.3 meters was still seen to catch his breath. He obviously used a lot of energy to be able to run up to this place.

"Well... Huh... Huh... Hows it? You've... Huh... Find a plant for your medicine?" Arslan open voice. He asked, only slightly glancing towards Natur before looking back to the front.

Nature blinked and then nodded. He said, "I found him. But why did you get here? Shouldn't you be waiting for me with Sofia and An. No need to come here,"

Arslan took a breath. His voice was flat as he said, "If I don't catch up with you... You're now the Goblin's meal."

The eyes of Nature were wide. He was surprised not to play, even to the point of standing so shocked. "W-what do you mean-!?"

Just as Natur was about to ask, a creature called by Arslan appeared from behind the wall. He subconsciously held his breath and then came to a realization about the owner of the place he was now.

"Arslan," Nature gulped. "This is the first time I've seen a creature from the Goblin race. B-but from the book I read... They're not the kind that live alone?"

"Is your book not clear that Goblins are so savage?"

"What?" Nature shocked.

"Goblins are more savage than the wolf pack we meet and they have physical strength that is not playful. And don't suppose that these creatures can be fooled because they have average intelligence,"

"I-I haven't read up there..."

"You must start learning a lot now," Arslan saw not only one goblin who appeared, but there were a few more and even those who were still hiding behind the stone walls had not fully shown themselves.

?!

Arslan flinched as a loud giggling sound rang out. One goblin laughed and the other goblins did the same. Nature held onto her powerful bow and prepared on the possibility of going to fight in this place.

"Arslan, can they talk?" Nature open sound. He would only draw his bow when Arslan stretched out his hand, preventing him from taking any rash action.

"Don't make a fuss. You must listen to me," Arslan watched every goblin in front of him and learned that this creature came from a green-eyed type.

"Slowly back..." Arslan gave instructions and said slowly, "This goblin is of the green eye type. They have great speed. You have to be careful and keep your neck as good as possible,"

"Le-neck?!" Nature is tense. He gulped paying close attention to the form of the beings before him.

Goblins have short bodies, slightly shorter than Arslan. They have wide, pointed ears at the ends, more like leaves than they are called elf-like ears and their skin is green.

The goblin in front of Natur was wearing only shorts, bare-chested and showing pointy teeth, looking so sharp. He actually did not want to insult, but to be honest the face of a goblin was very ugly, let alone with a big and long nose.

At first glance they may look funny or laughable, and Natur would probably laugh at them if he had not seen any blood on the teeth of these goblins and had they not seen it while drooling.

"Arlan..." Natur gulped, "A-I guess... They're hungry,"

"of course. And they see us as food" Arslan half-whispers to Natur. "When I give you the sign, you pull the plant out and get the hell out of here."

"What?" yet Natur ready, Arslan suddenly returned to say a magic spell. He created a light so dazzling as before that the goblins were startled and spontaneously closed their eyes.

"Hurry Nature!"

Nature plucked the fire-rooted lily and then wrapped it well. He throws his bow and pulls Arslan's back collar. His sparrows had long been hiding in the pockets of the Natur robe.

!!

"Where did I come in? Too blinding," Nature can't see the way. He himself could pluck out the fire-rooted lily flower earlier because it was indeed a plant close to him, but it was far different from finding a place to get out.

"You're straight," Arslan gave the direction and Nature flew higher.

It's just that due to the silvery rays from Arslan's magic spell, Natur couldn't measure how high he was flying right now. The bow that Natur rode hit the wall of the cave and made him fall with Arslan.

Along with that, Arslan's magic spell fades and the goblins begin to realize their existence. Quickly, the goblins ran and attacked Arslan and Natur.
