13 - Goblins

...'Inside the cave were Goblins who wanted their lives. And outside, a giant vulture scavenging ready to pounce.'...

Arslan moved quickly and returned to using her magic. The goblin that was about to pounce on him fell down due to the glare due to the light coming out from Arslan's dagger.

This condition used Arslan and Natur to run away. They tried to get as far away as possible and as the light began to fade, the goblins looked confused.

Krrrrr.t..!

A goblin clenched his teeth. He and his colleagues chase Arslan and Natur, they are seen carrying weapons in hand.

"They're after us...! So-so-quick..!" Natur turned his head and tried to see the goblins who were running after him. His heart raced because the goblin's movement was getting faster and almost reached them.

"Stop..!" Arslan exclaimed and just as he and Natur stopped, a huge boulder fell not far in front of them.

Nature was surprised and looked up, she saw there were four goblins in a place higher than her. It was they who had pushed the boulder to close the exit with Arslan.

"Ma-food..."

Arslan widened his eyes and then without warning shot forward. His extremely unexpected actions surprised Natur. The teenager watched the goblins swarming around Arslan and he had no idea how many green creatures there were.

"The Cresion Dolor Lux!"

Arslan's magic spell creates a burst of light and throws goblins in various directions. The power was great and made the Natur who saw it become very surprised.

The blonde-haired teenager did not expect that Arslan had such powerful magic, even though the young man's body was only slightly taller than that of a goblin.

Nature shakes her head, this is not the time he impressed the Arslan. He began to pull his bow and then immediately launched an arrow attack created from magic.

Two goblins who did not know would be attacked from behind were also hit by arrows from Natur. They fell down with an arrow that pierced the heart. This incident then made the other goblins angry and began to turn against Natur.

Arslan was also attacked by other goblins. They are very agile and fast, it is very difficult to keep up with these creatures. Moreover, his weapon was just a dagger and in addition, he fought not only two goblins-but more than that.

"Lubrianza..!" Arslan. The magic spell he used made the floor he was treading on slippery. The goblins standing up to six meters away from him slipped and fell.

Arslan also stepped on several goblin bodies and used as a foothold to get to the Natur place. He widened his eyes as Natur managed to subvert quite a number of goblins by using his bow weapon.

Without warning Natur blasted three arrows at once which he pointed at the boulder in front of him. The power made the stone explode, even Arslan was shocked by it.

"You okay?" Natur asks when Arslan is already nearby.

"I shouldn't have come here" Arslan muttered. He felt that worrying about Nature was useless. The 14-year-old is more than enough to escape any danger.

"What are you talking about.." Natur does not understand and returns to attract Arslan. He threw his bow and climbed it.

Both are back in flight. Arslan began to open his voice, he asked. "Did you kill them?"

"Some one was just injured in his leg. I couldn't shoot with the right accuracy because the goblins were so fast, they bit me too. It's just lucky because this robe has bite resistance,"

"................." Arslan touched his right arm. He lowered his gaze before reopening his voice.

Arslan said, "The goblins will keep chasing us. So you have to be careful and always look around you,"

Nature listened and watched circulating her gaze. He also called Arslan who made the young man near him look up.

Arslan saw a goblin throwing a boulder, as if they were going to finish his life with Natur. He then began using a magic technique that caused the stone to explode before it touched the floor.

Natur himself does not use his bow and he is also unable to attack because he must focus on moving his bow as a flying tool. The one left to attack is of course Arslan.

Some goblins jump from heights, but Arslan uses a magic spell called 'Crevaison Lux'. A magic spell that can create light through the puncture motion of his weapon.

Because of this magic spell, Arslan can attack the goblin from a distance even though there is a distance limit on this attack.

"Fortunately we're just facing a green-eyed goblin" Arslan said. "If it's a blue or red-eyed goblin, then there's no way we can get out easily."

"What's the difference?" Natur asked and still remains focused on getting Arslan out of this place.

Nature listened to Arslan's explanation. He was flying faster and then looking down. His eyes widened as he watched the goblins still enthusiastically attack him.

Arslan flinched, "I forgot something."

"W-What's that? You forgot where it is?!"

"There's a flock of rat-tailed crows out there. We'd be preyed upon by them, for sure,"

"really?" Nature flinched, "But before when I came here... I don't see any crows flying at all."

"They just got out of the nest,"

".............." Natur took a breath and then said, "Don't worry. I'm gonna move fast,"

Arslan stared at Natur for a moment before starting to set his sights forward. He looked at the cave door he had previously entered and then said without a tone, "If you are so confident like this... Then we'll definitely get through it. You just go ahead,"

"There is still no sign of Arslan and the boy, yet" Sofia tries to look down while hiding behind the bushes along with An.

The elf girl gulped and grew increasingly tense as many rat-tailed birds roamed this place.

He should have been able to tell Arslan that the place they were in right now was the lair of those flesh-eating beasts. But doing so will make his hideout and An be revealed.

"Arslane... I hope she's okay" Sofia bit her lower lip. He had a bow in his hand at the moment, but his senses were completely useless as he could do nothing to help his comrade who was somehow in his present condition.

"Sophia... Arslan's...." An muttered. He called Arslan's name again in a clear tone and made Sofia turn to him.

"Coming... Arslan's.."

"What?" Sofia followed An's gaze and watched the giant birds begin to fly to a single point while making a sound.

"What's going on?!" Sofia is shocked and comes out of her hiding place. He could not see clearly what was going on down there, but was sure that the rat-tailed birds that were flying swooped down as if they were about to pounce on something.

An himself could see Arslan and Natur stopping not far from the lips of the cave. Both seemed to wait for something and often looked up and then looked into the cave.

"Arlan..." I just have a simple mind. She did not budge, but then started to lift Sofia up to make the elven girl surprised.

"Yes! What are you doing?!" Sofia exclaims. He was just about to scold An when an arrow flashed and stuck right where he was before.

The golden arrow was none other than the property of Nature. Sofia frowned and slowly started to look at her two friends. He didn't have much time to be amazed let alone envious of the great Natural Archery technique because it was now.... A request for help was given by her friends.

Sofia held her bow strong and said, "Thank you I'm as tall as An can."

An followed Sofia's words and raised the body of the beautiful elf as high as he could. An even stood up and raised Sofia with both hands.

The Elf girl started to pull her bow. In his heart he encouraged the spirit that this time was the time to improve his archery abilities. He was not sure if his arrow would arrive like Natur did, but he had a firm belief that to help friends he would succeed in one try.

"I'm ready," an arrow formed as Sofia pulled her bow. The girl pointed her arrow at Arslan before suddenly changing the direction of her attack.

Sofia threw an arrow into the sky and by utilizing the pressure of the wind the arrows shot far away. He used his best magic in the attack and something shocking happened.

One arrow from Sofia had now become countless. Arslan saw that he nodded slowly as if he knew that Sofia managed to understand the contents of the message.

"Arlan..." Nature herself was surprised. He was the one who shot the arrow because of the request from this 1.3 meter tall young man and honestly he had no idea on what reason it was done.

The goblins chasing Arslan and Natur started to come out of the cave and the rat-tailed birds were also close to approaching them. Arslan took a breath and then lifted his dagger into the air. He's reciting a magic spell.

"The Ignisiterra Cretura Minosa..!"
