The Journey and Destiny of Love

The Journey and Destiny of Love
Chapter 34 - Wedding Feast

That morning Anindita was startled by news of Lia's marriage. A mother shopping in her stall who brought the news. Marriage that makes everyone wonder, Mr. Harnan's family is quite close to keeping a secret about the embarrassing things his son did.

“Lusa Lia married bang, we come hga ya?” Anindita started the conversation when Faisal was sitting on a long bench leaving his clean skin exposed to the sun.

“Invited?” Faisal asked back while storing the hot coffee that was still smoky.

“If in the village kayak gini, if the house is close usually not invited ya have to come Bang,” said Anindita pursed her lips, so it is not, actually, he was lazy to attend the event especially this for someone who had always demeaned him.

“Ya already if so we come, we are still a few days away from vacation here,” said Faisal.

“This is the most dekett market where?” faisal asked the girl who was now sitting with him in the sun to feel the warmth of the morning sun and the clean air of the countryside.

“There is a small market Bang, fifteen minutes from here, why would you like to do?” Anindita looked at the handsome man who was sipping his coffee.

“Honey, when we attend the wedding do not bring gifts,” Faisal glanced at the beautiful woman who was still staring at him. Anindita answered only with a small naughtiness while shaking her head in laughter at herself.

“Come,” suddenly Faisal stood up and extended his arm towards Anindita.

“Where?” the girl looked in wonder.

“Buy gift, the wedding is tomorrow,” said Faisal.

“Street?” Anindita.

“Mumpung is still morning all sports,” said the man while nodding his head.

Finally Anindita rushed to change clothes with sports clothes, while Faisal was still wearing the same clothes. They walked together while enjoying the fresh morning air. Fifteen minutes feels so fast if traversed with happiness. The flowery heart makes everything lighter. The two lovebirds had arrived at a small market that only had a few simple shophouses lined up in front and the market area was only the size of a football field. Because it used to be there is a football field which was then converted into a market for citizens.

“This change,” a shopkeeper kindly gave a gift that had been wrapped neatly and put into a large plastic while giving change to Anindita.

“Iya, thanks mba,” said Anindita while nodding and then approached Faisal who had just been waiting outside the store while sunbathing.

“Ade!” the voice of a man stopped his steps, he turned to the direction the voice came from.

“Eh prospective host is here,” Anindita smiled when she saw Romi who was walking towards her.

“Prospective bride?” Romi frowned confused, but for a moment a laugh finally broke out.

“You must have mistakenly thought, Lia is not married to Brother De,” he said while looking at his face so sumringah without burden.

“Terus?” Anindita frowned.

“She is married to Ardan,” Romi said while putting on a happy face as if apart from such a heavy burden.

“Stupid in the hands of God, getting engaged does not mean always being a match,” Romi said while squinting at Faisal who was standing behind Anindita.

“Anin doesn't know Kak,” the girl shook her head.

“Stupid is not just a matter of the heart, everything is in the hands of God, we can be engaged to whom but married to whom, he said,” he said with a meaningful smile staring at the face of the girl who had stolen his heart long ago.

“Honey, let's go home,” Faisal took Anindita's arm and forced her away from Romi. The young man simply looked at her and let out a long sigh as the girl bade her farewell and passed away leaving her.

That afternoon Mr. Harnan's residence was quite crowded. After the marriage contract is carried out all invited guests are welcome to take the dishes that have been provided. Lia looked beautiful with the bride's kebaya, but no aura of happiness emanated from her face. While Ardan looks ordinary but looks his short smile expands meaningfully. How bad Lia's nature is, Ardan is the only boy who has always been a fan of the girl since sitting in Junior High school. Lia is for him an angel, while Ardan is for Lia a dwarf.

“Congratulations yes,” Anindita gave a gift that she had bought yesterday in the market, while Faisal still stood expressionlessly beside her. The man can be very arrogant when dealing with people he does not like.

“Iya thanks,” Ardan who welcomed a gift from Anindita and welcomed his speech full of smiles, while the corner of Lia's eyes were still able to steal a glance towards Faisal. It was supposed to be the man she caught that night, and it should be the man her father forced her to marry instead of Ardan. His teeth were cracking, his eyes increasingly implying a dislike look to the girl in front of him.

“Please enjoy the banquet Mas, Mba,” sound Ardan friendly while herding Faisal and Anindita towards the dish table, before the awkward atmosphere turned frozen.

“Buk Buk” sounds noisy on the side page that is not far from the area, the area that is used as a parking lot for invited guests.

Anindita and Faisal put back the plate that was just about to fill the food. Some invitations also made their way to the centre of the riot. It was seen a shabbily dressed man was being beaten by some citizens. Faisal caught the shadow, after confirming something he ran towards the crowd of residents who were still giving kicks to the body that was lying there.

“Stop Bapak!” faisal's resolute charismatic voice attracted the attention of the citizens, his sturdy body hunted down the chaos that occurred.

“Don't be a vigilante, We can discuss it with law enforcement,” said Faisal who had been crouched reaching for the figure that chuckled, he made sure that it was the man who came to him that night.

“She was suspicious since then, probably going to steal a guest motorcycle sir,” said the man dressed as a security guard.

“Good, now let him go, we ask first carefully, do not be a vigilante,” Faisal stressed while helping the man whose sturdy body is almost balanced with him to stand.

He swept it to a brighter spot and there were some long benches there. The crowd followed him to see what the handsome young man would do to his quarry. While the tiny body of Anindita tries to break through the guests who are increasingly curious about what has happened. After some painstaking effort he finally saw Faisal was trying to sit on the shabby-clothed man, the head covering that had always been worn to cover a part of his face was loose, there was fresh blood flowing from the tip of his lips.

“Bang Murod!” Anindita half-screamed as she ran and hugged the shabby-clothed man. Her crying broke out in the crowd of people.

All eyes looked in disbelief. They had almost forgotten the face of someone who disappeared many years ago and was not found to this day. Is it true that the man they thought was the thief was Murod. After he disappeared, he became a thief.
