The Hug His Darkness

The Hug His Darkness
The Part 74

“So, when will you marry Annora?” daddie asked Danesh after Quirinus had finished reading all the sheets of documents he presented.

Quirinus raised both eyebrows until his forehead formed a deep creak. That fast Annora's parents asked about her seriousness? “I'm not ready if the time is near this.”

“Why?” Daddy Danesh pulled the paper back from the hospital.

“I'm just starting out in my career, I don't have a stable income yet. How to meet your daughter's needs if this time can only meet for yourself?” Quirinus bowed down as an apology and to be understood as well.

“Money problem? Relax, my family never had a problem with that. Who knows if you marry Annora soon, can make you motivated to work harder because it has a big responsibility.” Two of Daddy Danesh's palms opened and faced the ceiling of the room.

Quirinus could not respond. Dominique's family is hard to argue with, he always loses.

“For me, it's good enough that you want to leave your previous job and start in the entertainment field. It proves so much that you want to change for the sake of my daughter. And that includes a sacrifice.” Daddy Danesh lifted the sheet in his hand, then pointed at the results section. “Also this. Your health condition is good, no infectious diseases found. I'm so relieved of that.”

“Why are you relieved?”

“Because I know the nature of my stubborn daughter. Once he wants you, even if you're seriously ill, he'll take it. Unlike me who wants him to live healthy with a partner without dangerous diseases as well.”

The sentence made Quirinus' head nod several times a sign of understanding. Perhaps, if he became a Daddy, would want to treat his children that way too. Full of attention and affection, do not be abandoned like he was before.

Daddy Danesh propped up his chin using two interlocking hands. “How long? One, two, three, four, ten years?”

“Em ...” Quirinus was confused as well. Because he does not know when he can succeed in the new profession.

“If it's too long, I'll just match my daughter to a business partner. I don't want to let Annora wait, while she's already struggling to get close to you. So, please think about it and you decide carefully.” Daddy Danesh pushed the chair back until the small wheel attached to the floor spun. “Wedding does not have to be luxurious and known by everyone. My family also likes simple things, whether you want to take place in church or just married civilly guided from the Population Agency.”

Quirinus was always silent because talking only impressed him there was no intention of marrying Annora. So, he was fine with every sentence. He came out when Daddy Danesh opened the door and left the study.

Annora tried to eavesdrop on the conversation, but unfortunately could not hear a single word. He went straight to Quirinus. “My Daddy didn't scare you, did he?”

“No, beautiful.” Quirinus' hands ruffled her female hair.

“Sgratitude.” Annora stroked the chest in relief. “So, what are you guys talking about inside?”

The gel as a sign he did not want to tell. “Reclaration.” Chuckled for a moment as Annora blicked her lips. “I go straight home, huh? There's something I have to ponder,” pamitnya later.
