The Hug His Darkness

The Hug His Darkness
The Part 19

Quirinus opened his eyes several times. His hands touched the head that was still dizzy. While the sense of smell inhales a different aroma, unlike its dense residence with cool trees.

Slowly Quirinus opened her eyes. He squinted when the lights above the room were dazzling. Raising the left hand like something stuck in there.

Infusion? The infirmary? How did Quirinus get to that place? His head looked to the right and left, looking from the answer to the question. But, the room he occupied felt silent, there was only himself.

Who brought him to the hospital? There's no way Quirinus's calling an ambulance. In fact, he would rather die not found by anyone than to seek treatment and return to life with memories that there is no beauty in them.

Treatment is not an option for Quirinus. So, I don't know who took him to the hospital, it doesn't matter. His hand grabbed the infusion that stuck on the surface of the skin and penetrated into his veins. He was about to forcefully remove it and would get out of there.

However, the movement of the door that had just been pushed by someone made it stop moving, looking towards the source of the sound. And now he knows who took him to the hospital. A woman he hadn't seen for a month. Annora.

“Available?” Annora asked as she walked inside. Both hands carried shopping bags that seemed to contain a lot of food. He walked quickly when he saw Quirinus was about to take off the infusion. “Eh ... don't!” The woman immediately put the luggage, then pulled and prevented the man's arm from doing reckless things. “You're sick, need treatment,” the scolding later.

If faced with Annora, Quirinus must always end up breathing resignedly. His strength seemed like it would only end in vain because the woman was always undaunted to forcefully accept whatever Annora was doing.

“So you brought me here?” ask Quirinus. His eyes still seemed thick with darkness.

Annora nodded. “But, take it easy, I didn't call an ambulance or call someone to help. All I do myself.” As if to know with Quirinus' concern that he did not like the place where he lived to be known to others, he explained.

“I dragged you all the way to the car,” Annora said later. He grimaced, apologizing as he pointed at Quirinus' feet. “So, your heels are a little chafed when you get here.”

Bentar, something is strange and awkward. He remembers the last time he fainted in the house. Then Annora can take him out. “How do you get inside?” tanyanya.

Annora grimaced again until the teeth were neat and white clearly visible. “I had a peek when you pressed pin.”

Quirinus' head was clenched. That one woman was truly the intention once to intrude on her life. Even after a month of not meeting was often suddenly present in his dreams. “What did you come to my house for? Didn't you promise not to come back?”

“Yes .. 'cause I missed you. One busy month, many jobs abroad. So, when I get home, go straight to your place. Turns out what I got was you lying on the floor with a pale face.”

“Ck! Headstrong.”

“Eh .. You should thank me for coming on time and helping before your life drifted.” Annora pinched the small arm of Quirinus.

The man did not react in pain, instead staring at Annora flat. “I'd rather no one help and just die.”
