The Hug His Darkness

The Hug His Darkness
The Part 63

The first time the door was opened, Annora immediately raised her head so that she could look at Quirinus in the face. Not just a flat look anymore that he caught clearly. But, now that the eyes that usually emit an aura full of darkness that looks soft and soft, what else thick pockets add to the clear that the condition of the man like being not okay. The more down to the lips, the owner of the house looks pale.

“Annora? Come in.” Without further ado, Quirinus immediately let in, outside very cold.

Nodding at a glance, Annora's legs swung in following Quirinus' steps which led her to the lounge sofa. He kept paying attention to how the burly body was moving, not as usual as it was now more limp.

“Do you get sick, Qui?” ask Annora while landing a butt on the couch that feels soft.

Quirinus. “Only lack of sleep for the last few months.” Then he moved into the kitchen. “What do you drink? I make a warm one,” bargain later.

“Teh also can.” Annora continued to watch Quirinus. Why is it so hard to ignore that guy. Pretending not to know for example. But, in fact when meeting the chest must be pounding.

“Oke, wait a minute, I boil water first.” Quirinus took a small pot and filled with water, and he put it on the stove, turning on the fire to begin the cooking process. “I didn't know you were coming here. So, have nothing.” Talking while preparing glasses and tea so that it can be brewed immediately when the water is boiling.

While waiting, Quirinus turned around, leaning on the kitchen table to look at Annora. He was so happy and relieved that the woman was still willing to appear before him again after knowing the dark and bad side of his job.

Annora cleared her throat. Since then there is groggy spread throughout the body due to continued attention by the owner of the house. “I ... want to ask you something.”

Quirinus. “Tell me, I'll answer.” Exactly when the cooked water was boiling, he listened as he poured into the glass.

Breathing in the air as deeply as possible, Annora convinced herself that whatever the answer would be accepted. “Honestly to me, do you have feelings for me even a little bit?”

The hand that was stirring stopped moving. Quirinus pecked for a moment, just seconds. He put the spoon into the wash sink, then turned to bring the drink to Annora. “After I thought, yes. I do have feelings for you. But—” Put a glass for a moment to the table, sit down, then continue the speech that had paused. “For what do you know of it? We're too different, and I'm self-conscious that it's inappropriate.”

There was a sense of relief warming up in Annora's chest. Finally, after a long time, I was able to know Quirinus' heart. It was like hearing something rare from a mysterious man. “Why say now? You should be honest with your feelings from the beginning. So I don't need to guess whether this feeling is clapping one hand or not.”

“You already know for yourself what my profession is. How dare a female complacent like a holy and good girl like you.” Quirinus pushed the glass further ahead of Annora. “Minum, before cold.”

Instead of obeying the house owner's orders, Annora put her hands in the bag. Look for the check paper he has prepared before leaving.
