The Great Demon King

The Great Demon King
Chapter 154 "Why bother so much?"

Within months, one of Bob Ascher's two sons mysteriously disappeared and the other was killed on the streets. This was too shocking for him, especially since Clark was the son he valued more and placed the deepest expectations. To have him killed by someone else in Valen City made him go completely insane.

Tonight in Valen City is destined to be a chaotic time. All of the Gryphon Legions have been summoned and are conducting a carpet-style search for all suspicious personnel. Due to the explosive rampage of their heads, all the ordinary soldiers within the Legion all had similarly bad emotions. An unknown face or merchant would be cruelly beaten if they gave little hint of not cooperating.

Metal nails were galloping in the streets as residents, sleeping soundly in the middle of the night, were violently awakened. Even the symbol of the Gryphon Legion, the gryphon army, floated through the night sky of the patrolling Valen City. Everyone was as if they were facing a great enemy, and all thought that Kasi Kasi had invaded at night.

The gryphons in the sky were black dots as their strange cries echoed through people's eardrums. They flew from the west side of the city to the south. Then fly from south to north. They would land and search with the soldiers on the ground whenever they saw something unusual.

“So these are gryphons. They're really big, okay. “Han Shuo stood behind a large tree near the slave trading house of Bob Ascher and muttered to himself as he inspected the gryphon.

“That's right, the gryphon is a very ferocious flying species. One gryphon by itself can split an ordinary magical creature. The king highly appreciated the old Bob and did not dare to move even though he knew that he wanted to rebel mostly because of this Gryphon Legion. ”Emily snorted lightly and shivered slightly as she spoke.

The water piled up on the streets had already frozen into a thick layer of ice on this harsh winter night. The ice from the edge of the roof, shimmered coldly as the intense cold wind came howling. As a witch, it makes sense that Emily would find herself cold.

Breathing in, Han Shuo's right hand clasped Emily's delicate and petite hand as she circulated her magic money. Han Shuo's right hand was like a small furnace as he brought warmth to Emily.

“You are a necromancer and also have an unusual martial arts technique, but why are you also able to use fire magic, and spread it so proficiently? It seems like you can adjust the temperature as you wish. How's it going? ”The dazzling eyes of Emily sparkled as she fixed them on Han Shuo, pouting as she warned him.

“This is actually one of the techniques I trained, You need not be surprised,” Han Shuo shrugged and responded honestly to Emily.

It was a pity that Emily clearly did not have any explanation from Han Shuo. However he did not continue to ask, but only spoke with a smile, “Alright, alright. I'll find all your secrets someday. Um, your weirdness is like poison to me. The more I want to know about You, the more mysterious I find You. ”

“Heh, don't be crazy boy. Let's go, let's go. “Han Shuo reached out his hand with a smile and patted Emily's round butt, urging her to move.

The two did not take Chester with them at this time. As they approached the slave trading house where Lisa was auctioned last time, Han Shuo released black fog magic and surrounded the structure, enveloping it with darkness.

“Heh heh, your grasp of necromancy magic is not at all bad now,” Emily chuckles. He exerted an archmage levitation spell and his body slowly flew through the air, landing on top of a five-meter-high wall. He opened his mouth again, “I snare rope inside, you can climb using it.”

“Why go to so much trouble!” Han Shuo smiled and suddenly jumped up, his speed much faster than Emily's levitation spell as he suddenly found a foothold next to Emily.

Emily's body stiffened as she looked at Han Shuo like she saw a ghost in broad daylight. A strange light danced in her beautiful eyes as she threw herself into Han Shuo's embrace, using all the strength in her body to hit Han Shuo's chest. He yelled at her, looking angry and happy. “You villain! You reached the archmage realm a long time ago, but still continue to lie to me. I will beat you to death! Fuck, fuck! ”

Han Shuo heard a noise from a distance and did not dare to remain at a high place for fear of attracting attention. She suddenly grabbed Emily and flew down, hiding in a corner of the slave trading house, clasping her little hand after that, explaining with a wry smile, “I didn't lie to you, ' he said, this is a method similar to a lifting spell and is one of the techniques I practice. It has nothing to do with magic. Think carefully, did you feel the magic pulse from me earlier? ”

Emily started off after listening to Han Shuo's words and her long brows fluttered in confusion. He looked at Han Shuo in shock afterwards and asked doubtfully, “Only what martial arts techniques are you practicing? According to my knowledge, even the strongest swordsman or paladin can only fly for a short period of time using a fighting aura. That technique doesn't fly at all, so how can you do it? ”

“Alright fine. I know that I won't get much from you. Lefs go. Let's see if we can get something useful from the slave trading house while it's still a mess in Valen City. “Emily pouted and rolled her eyes towards Han Shuo, pulling him towards the trading house she now knew.

Emily had to thoroughly investigate the trading house beforehand. He was very familiar with the building and floated in the air along the way, not making a single sound. A thin and dark magic veil surrounded him, completely hiding his movements.

Han Shuo was quite familiar with secret operations like this. Not only did he not make a single sound, but he used his incredible senses to continue pointing his way to Emily, helping the two avoid the many patrol guards along the way.

The two of them had passed through two large auction buildings after a while and headed towards the three houses located at the back.

“This trading house usually has a part of the Gryphon Legion stationed here. It will be very difficult for us to escape once they find our trail. Today, however, the soldiers inside will be deployed due to Clark's death and will search the entire City of Valen. This is a good time for us. ”Emily explained to Han Shuo as they walked.

Han Shuo became very serious after they started talking business. She listened to Emily as she silently observed the surroundings. A very strange smell suddenly smelled into his nostrils. The smell of blood mixed with the smell. Han Shuo felt that it was a little stinging as he slowly smelled the smell.

He pursed his nose, reached out and grabbed Emily, saying lowly, “There is a smell of blood here, something is wrong.”

“I don't smell it.” Emily inhaled deeply and said in surprise. He then thought for a while and seemed to remember the miracle of Han Shuo, “See if you can find the source of the smell of blood.”

Nodding, Han Shuo said quietly, “Follow me.”

Grabbing Emily's small hand, Han Shuo followed her nose to look for the origin of the smell of blood. He passed two houses and came by the side of the pool. There was an artificial mountain next to it, with several deep and slightly sinister caves inside. Han Shuo's ears proved their worth when he walked inside one of the caves with Emily.

A creaking sound suddenly rang out as the originally sturdy stone wall suddenly split apart as a guard dashed out from within, covered in blood and wearing a terrified expression. The bone spear emerged from thin air after he had only taken a few steps, running the guard through from behind. Two zombie warriors then walked out and dragged the body of the guard inside.

Han Shuo and Emily received good attention from the scene that had just happened. Han Shuo was startled, and then spoke, “Maybe the necromancer I saw earlier today was inside that cave.”

“There is a big possibility for that, but the owner of the slave trading house is Bob Ascher, and that necromancer is one of Clark's killers, so what will he do here?” Emily was still a little confused as she spoke lowly with Han Shuo.

“The most dangerous place is also the safest. There is an enemy behind every bush and tree now. The trading house was where Bob Ascher's business was and actually sent the most number of soldiers. Who would have thought the necromancer would appear here? The fact that a soldier was killed earlier was enough to prove that this necromancer was also not a guest. This means it is very possible that he has the desire to hide here, “Han Shuo pondered and then spoke slowly.

“Mm, you are very reasonable. Are we gonna go see what happens? “Emily praised and then asked Han Shuo's opinion.

“Of course, I'm also a little curious about this necromancer. I might only be able to run the other way if I face him alone, but with you by my side, we have nothing to fear. “Han Shuo said and then stopped, noticing the disturbance inside. He spoke again after a while, “Alright, the traces of zombie warriors have gone into the distance. We can go in and see it. ”"
