The Girl Next Door's

The Girl Next Door's
Confirmed (1)

The police station looked scary to Deril. The building stands firmly with three floors. When seen with the naked eye, there was nothing strange about the building. However, it is the people who pass in and out that make the appearance quite scary.

Two tall men came out from the main door of the building. They laughed loudly while holding a paper glass that reflected a thin smoke. Laughter alone, able to make Deril's legs tremble. The two men with the police nametag instead looked like thugs to Deril.

"They're my friends. His name is Mr. Roy and Mr. Good. It's really good, really!"

Deril turned his head quickly, startled by the voice that suddenly sounded behind his ears. "Mom Mia!?" his great-grandson.

Mia grinned, baring her uneven teeth, yet looking quite sweet for a woman her age. "How are you, brother?"

"My name is Deril," Deril corrected. Called a 'sister' in his teens, making Deril unhappy. "Mom Mia why is it suddenly nongol behind me?"

"It's all around" Mia replied lightly. "Rather than sitting behind a table and making my stomach distended, I choose to go around and prevent the occurrence of crime here. This village is quite large."

"What's the new Miss Mia here?"

Mia nodded. "I was transferred here about a week ago" he replied. "You know the area?"

"It's not. I'm also a new guy here, and I don't really like going around."

"So, you're going to the police station not just for passing by, are you?" Mia suddenly urged. "What exactly bothered your mind, until you got here?"

Deril bit his lower lip. There was still doubt he felt. Plus, he's still underage. The talk is unbelievable. "I can't tell you yet."

"Is this your sister Diana's problem?" Mia immediately spoke her mind, without making small talk. "I'm sorry, I'm not so good at starting conversations. I don't like wasting time."

Deril did not answer. His eyes widened. He wanted to shout tell her everything he knew in front of Mia, but also wanted to silence a thousand languages. Deril doesn't know Mia yet. He did not know whether this person he could trust, or even kick him into the abyss.

"It's okay. I'm not forcing you to talk right now. I also don't know the outline of this incident yet" Mia spoke casually. "Would you try to come in? I can introduce you to some of my friends."

"No need. I'll just go home."

"Wasn't your trip been in vain? Don't you love, you've been here a few times, but there's no progress?"

Deril shut up again. Actually, he's confused. He wanted to make progress in his footsteps. But, he always lost to Doctor Stephen. He didn't even know what to do after hearing the piano chant that Doctor Stephen was playing.

Mia doesn't talk anymore. Obviously he didn't force Deril to follow him. He just left Deril behind. Deril, who found Mia leaving, parked his bike near the gate of the police building. Then, he followed Mia who was walking confidently.

"Have the streets finished?" Mr. Roy greeted with a smile.

"Have anything?" timpal Mr. Good.

"Now!" Mia pointed at Deril who was following her. "Dapet guy bulls."

The attention of Mr. Roy and Mr. Good directly leads to Deril. Their eyes are as sharp as an eagle, so they can make Deril look down. Deril felt they could read Deril's head, if he dared to reply to their views.

"Well! The handsome!"

"What's your name, brother?"

"Groaning!" quickly answer.

"You're the little bule who just moved in, right?" ask Mr. Good. "If not mistaken, whose house is next door to Doctor Stephen's?"

"You familiar?" ask Mr. Roy.

"Mrs Serena once came home, to meet my wife. Must have been to your house, but you did not exist" replied Mr. Good. "People are very friendly. Smart cook too. Luckily, whose house is close to them, can steal recipes to Bu Serena.

"Waaaah, my house is far away in the corner, it will be hard, dong!" complains Mr. Roy. "But I know Mr. Alex." Mr. Roy looked at Deril. "Your father's name is Mr. Alex, right?"

Deril just nodded.

"I see, there's a request on Alexander's behalf to move into the administration to the office here. Though the salary in the center is more than here."

"Are you interviewing Alex?"

"Yes" replied Mr. Roy.

"Hhh, you are this. Younger than us, but very relaxed to respond to many things," said Mr. Roy.

"Let a young man like him who still has a lot of energy. We just move the crucial time," added Pak Bagus while laughing softly.

"That's why I'm your boss" Mia quipped back.

Mr. Roy and Mr. Good only responded with head bobbles only. "Did you bring Deril here to look around the office? Deril wants to be a cop in the future?"

"It is appropriate almost every day to come here," continued Mr. Good. "just enter. There are no cases anymore. We're leisurely. You can ask."

"Yeah?" take Mia, then step inside. Deril followed him, just like a duckling following his mother.

They sat together and drank tea in paper cups. Mia doesn't talk much during her sitting, really giving Deril time to think long. Perhaps Mia also felt, there was no point if she forced Deril to open her mouth.

"I'm sure my family was harmed" Deril whispered.

Mia looked at it. He examines Deril's facial features, to decide whether Deril is speaking honestly, or just wants to provoke his reaction.

"Everything is too clear."

"Why not report to the police?" ask Mia.

"My mother was too scared."

"Then, you agree?"

Deril shook his head loudly. "I should have forced my parents to fully investigate the case" Deril replied. "But, the initial reports that my father was wretched because of stale food and my sister was found in the backyard because she caught a burglar entering the house, made me unable to speak."

"What do you think of your father?" Mia asked again.

"Dad suspected, if we acted more than this, there would be another disaster. I agree about it."

Mia sipped her tea a lot before asking back. "Is there anything you suspect?"

"My neighbors."

Mia's eyebrows shot up. "You mean, the plastic surgeon?"

"Yes. He's very suspicious."

"Why can you say that? Did the doctor clearly threaten you or any of your family?"

Deril nodded this time. "Initially, I made a fuss. I snuck into his house, because his daughter asked me for help."

"You know his son too? What kind of help did her son ask you for?" Mia is getting interested. He's been convinced ever since Deril's father's accident case was handed over to his team that this case wasn't just an ordinary accident. The presence of Deril around the police station, is a jackpot for him. She will not let go of this child until she gets all the information she lost from her eyes, because Serena and Alex refuse to talk. Diana, meanwhile, still needs a guardian because she is a minor.

"At that time he just said 'please'. I don't quite understand. So, I snuck into Doctor Stephen's house. I messed up the show-" Deril swallowed his saliva with great difficulty. He almost choked.

"What event is it?" Mia spoke slowly, as if she did not want others to hear their conversation.

Deril looked over with pushy eyes. "How to drink tea."

"Just because of that, she's angry with you?" Mia clarifies.

"It's not a regular tea party. It's just a cover. Actually, it's a s*ex party."

"Wow! Waw! Whoa!" Mia turned her head in all directions, making sure they were just the two of them, sitting on the sidewalk opposite the police station. After being sure no one was eavesdropping, Mia returned to Deril. "Are you sure of what you said? If you're lying, I could've sent you to a children's prison."

"Do I seem to be lying?" reply Deril.
