Deril saw his father who was getting treatment from medical personnel at the hospital that was this afternoon he went to. Alex drooped weakly with a deathly pale face. Blood dried up on his chest.
Serena pulls Deril's arm. He's shaking. If there was no Deril next to him, he would have already fainted by now.
"Mom, calm down" Deril asked.
Serena started crying. Tears that he had been holding back, finally spilled over his thin cheeks. Deril feels dizzy. This was the first time she had seen her mother that sad. Deril fingered his pants pocket. Apparently he didn't bring anything to the hospital.
"Mom, I have to go back home. I'll take all the necessities. All registration."
"ah! Diana!" Serena got up from her seat. He realized that he had left his daughter alone at home.
Deril patted his mother's arm. "Let me check. I'm calm and accompany you here. I'll be back as soon as possible" Deril said. Without waiting for an answer from his mother, Deril went straight to the front office to register his father and book a taxi.
'There's something wrong. Dad's never been like this before. Dad never told me anything either. So, it was impossible to cough up that blood because of the pain. Dad was the healthiest person among us. There's gotta be something that makes you what you are now, ' Deril thought.
Her steps came to a halt for a moment, when she thought of Doctor Stephen's face some time ago. 'He's weird, ' Deril's inner again. Deril is moving faster towards the front office.
"I want to register my father" he said before actually reaching the front office table. A man who had been sleepy sat behind a table, until jumped shocked by the presence of Deril.
"Oh, well, fine!" the officer replied while taking out a piece of registration paper. "Please fill it up!"
Deril grabbed the pen and wrote quickly. "Can I get a taxi now?" ask while writing.
The front office clerk seemed a little confused by Deril's behavior, but still helped Deril to call a taxi. "About five minutes, the taxi will arrive" the officer reported.
Deril submitted the registration form to the front office clerk. "My father is being dealt with in the ER. There was my mother there, who was wearing a black jacket. I'll be home for a while, I'll be back. If there's anything, this number is my number" Deril explained, pointing to his phone number.
"Okay, thank you" replied the officer.

Taxi car turned towards Deril housing. The rain drizzled. The air is getting colder. The street lights are shining dimly. There was no one on the streets. "Left, sir! Green fence house," Deril told the taxi driver. However, his eyes were fixed on Doctor Stephen's house.
There was no one in front of the house. Unlike earlier, Doctor Stephen was not in front of his house while showing off a suspicious smile. Deril decided not to think about Doctor Stephen's current smile. There are more urgent things.
"Diana!" deril cried as soon as the door of the house opened. Just like when he left the house, only the kitchen lights were on. Alex's blood trail is still there, soaking up the kitchen floor. Only, the blood had dried up by now.
Deril went up to the second floor because Diana did not answer his call. Maybe Diana was not bothered by the noise downstairs earlier, or did not hear the roar of the engine of the car that lit up. "Diana?" call Deril once more upon her arrival at the door of Diana's room. "Diana?"
Still no answer.
"Diana!"
Silence answered Deril's call. Deril put her ear on the door of Diana's room. He did not hear any sound from the room. Deril took a long breath. Diana used to wear a headset when she was sleeping. Once upon a time, he did not wake up even when there was an earthquake.
Deril ran to his room. He stuffed whatever he thought was important into the backpack. Don't forget the fever-lowering drugs that he took. Deril took off his shirt. The sweat that the shirt was absorbing was already completely dry. He picked up a new shirt and also put one extra shirt in his backpack.
His steps continued to his parents' room. The door to the room is still open. Serena's blanket dangled onto the floor. Deril folded the original blanket. He felt sorry for his mother. Deril went to the dresser by the window. His hand opened the first drawer. His parents' important cards were there. He put it all in his backpack. Don't forget he put Serena's phone in, too.
After feeling all the important things he had brought, Deril returned to his sister's room. There was still no sound heard from inside. "Diana!" Deril raised his tone. "Hey, wake! I'm going to the hospital! You sleep or die, anyway!?" Deril sebal himself.
DOC! DOC! DOC!
Deril banged on Diana's room door loudly. He decided to try turning the doorknob, although it was likely that the door was locked from the inside. "Woi! Diana! You're not de-"
Diana's bed was empty.
Deril spread his gaze to all angles. There was no sign of Diana anywhere. Deril walked quickly to the bathroom where the lights were not on. "Diana?" call him for the umpteenth time.
There's no answer.
His hand grabbed the doorknob and the door leaf swung open just like that. Just like Diana's empty room, there was nothing to be found there. Deril took his cell phone to call Diana. Not long after, Diana's phone rang out from the direction of the bed.
"Where is the boy?" deril muttered. He walked towards the bed. His hands felt that the bed was still warm. Diana was there a while ago. "Diana!" Deril is still trying to call his sister.
He went down the stairs, trying to find his sister on the first floor. However, nothing had changed since he left the floor a moment ago. Deril had almost no idea where his sister went these nights.
Until, a gust of cold wind greeted his face. Deril turned his head quickly, finding the back door slightly open. Deril walked quickly towards the back door. He did not remember that this door was open. No one left the back door open. Alex also couldn't have gotten in through the back door.
Deril swallowed with great difficulty. The first thing that came to his head was a thief. But, inside an old house like this, there were not many precious items left. Serena also did not have much jewelry and her parents' room was not as messy as the thieves had entered.
Deril's head looked outwards. The drizzle still wet the earth. The air at night was so fresh. Then, Deril's nose caught an unusual smell of soil. He looked to his right and left, looking for the source of the smell. In the middle of the darkness of the night, his eyes squinted at a mound of earth in the corner of his backyard. There were no mounds of land before there.
Deril ran towards the mound. How shocked he was, when he found a finger sticking out from the side of the mound. He took a few steps back. Brain freezes. In the next instant, a strong urge to dig up that mound of earth appeared within him.
"It's not Diana, is it?" deril's voice vibrated. With his bare hands, Deril began to scavenge the ground as fast as he could.
