THE FLO!

THE FLO!
Bag. 15

I threw my body into the bed. Today's conference is even more difficult than I thought. When participants take a break, I and other testers are required to test the feasibility of the program they create. I tested a program created by five different groups. Three of them couldn't pass my due diligence, there's still a lot to improve. The other two just need a little improvement and the program they create will be perfect. It's worth it that Scott is lazy to come to this place. I also if I knew the result like this would definitely refuse. I was forced to go home late because the program they created was so messy and my judgment had to be reported to Darry so that he could pass it on to the participants tomorrow.

My attention was shifted when an e-mail went into the laptop that I accidentally put next to me. I shifted my body and raised my head to check who sent the e-mail. From Daisy. I read it at a glance. He just told me where he went today, which I knew of course because Davin had given me their schedule, and the incident with other friends. I smiled as I read that again he was almost gone. Daisy is a bit clumsy, just like Freya, so I understand her. I frowned as I read the end of the e-mail.

Today Mr. Davin is strange. He's busy with his phone and he's smiling! Me and Temen2 have never seen her smile! Not to mention when Caesar fought with Danar until they were cut out by each other when they came home. At first we were happy2 but when they fought, the atmosphere was immediately gloomy. Stella tried to reconcile but instead became runyam. If you were here, you would know what to do, like Caesar.

Is that what I always do when someone fights? I think I'm doing something ordinary. But Daisy's writing about Davin made me smile. Daisy doesn't know that I sent Davin a message. Even though I tested the program, I still took the time to reply to Davin's message. He didn't tell me that Caesar and Danar had a fight, but he told me what Caesar and Stella did today. You could say, he became my eyes.

Strange indeed. Though he said he did not want to help me but subconsciously he gave information about one of my suspects. My attention was shifted as I felt my stomach sound, asking to be filled. I forgot that this morning I only had breakfast bread and for a whole day I only drank coffee. I forgot my lunch because I was busy testing those programs. I was just about to call room service when someone knocked on my door. I peeked through the peek hole and smiled.

"I just wanted to call you" I said without greeting Davin.

"Hello too, Flo," she said lazily. He looked at me who was still wearing my suit. "You just got home?"

I'm nodding. "I'm just done, sir. Their program is far more complicated than my friends."

"Perhaps because they can't simplify the formula they've created it's much more difficult. Try using another shorter formula, I'm sure you can rate the program faster."

I raise my eyebrows. "Why do you talk like you're used to it?"

"Have you eaten?" he asked me who ignored my question. I'm shaking. "What if we eat now?"

"Crazy father? What if someone sees me?"

Davin smiled. "Quiet down. Soon curfew will be in effect. If any student comes out, it will be punished immediately."

"Night hours? It's eight o'clock!"

"What if it's only eight? Do you want to come with me to eat or not? I didn't have time for dinner because I had to find a lost child."

"Who, Sir?" my many.

"Caesar's. Collin and I had to go around looking for him. Good thing Collin found him before I had to report him to Mr. Yusron."

"Don't you tell me Danar and Caesar are fighting?"

Davin frowned. "Are they both fighting?" tanyakanya. I'm frowning my forehead. "You come with me or not? I hungry. If you don't want to, you have."

I smiled wryly. "Attent, Sir. I'll change my clothes first."

Davin nodded. "I'm waiting for the restaurant. What do you want to eat? Let me order first."

I lifted both my shoulders. "So Father. Don't add cyanide to my food."

He laughed and turned his body and left me. I changed my clothes and washed my face. I also added thin makeup to my face, which I foolishly hoped that Davin would notice my change. I put my wig back on and my sunglasses. I also wear a fedora hat that I deliberately carry. Once I was ready, I got out of my room and headed for the restaurant.

At the restaurant, Davin was waiting for me. It seemed that the food he ordered had not come yet, just a glass of drinks and appetizers.

"I ordered a steak. It's not what, is it?" ask Davin as I sit on my bench. I nodded slowly, agreeing to her choice. "You don't drink, do you? I didn't order a cocktail or anything."

I smiled at him. "I hate hungovers, so thank you," I replied. "Boy why did you take me to eat? Alone anyway."

"Why? I'm hungry and you are too. Besides I hate eating alone and if I ask the teacher to accompany me, it feels weird."

"But I'm a student of the Father."

"Who? You?" davin asked that confused me and I could only nod. "My disciple is Florence Ferdinand, not Florentia Abdi Kusuma."

I'm speechless. Davin's answer was correct as well. At the moment I am Florentia Abdi Kusuma, not Florence Ferdinand. I took a long breath.

"I've told you that most high schoolers don't sit that fast" Davin suddenly told me to look at him.

"But the Father himself said that at this time I am not a disciple of the Father" I replied.

"If I'm not your teacher, then why are you still calling me 'Father' since then?"

"When do I call 'Davin'?"

"Everything wrong? You're only seven years different from me. After all, you are not my current student."

I looked at him while raising my eyebrows. "Sorry, Sir. If I don't call it 'Father' it feels weird."

Davin laughs. A laugh I don't understand. "Good, fine. What do you want to call me."

Our conversation stopped when a waiter came up to us and picked up our appetizer plate. Not long after, another waiter came to bring a steak ordered by Davin. The waiter smiled at me and Davin, especially at Davin, and then left us after whispering something to Davin. My head lifted as Davin chuckled.

"See this?" asked Davin while pointing at the drink that had been delivered by the waiter just now. "I told you I didn't order any drinks, right? The waiter gave me this drink. From the girl."

Davin pointed at the person behind me using his chin. When I looked, I found a blonde woman looking at Davin and smiling. I looked back at Davin but Davin called the waiter who had given him the drink to bring the drink back.

"Sadly he's not my type." Davin clucked while shaking his head. "Better, I have a beautiful friend right now."

I frowned at me. Just who was he praising? I understood when he looked at me. So he just praised me? He said I was beautiful? My face suddenly felt hot. I smiled at him and thanked him. Fortunately, my hand was placed under the table. If he saw it, maybe he would feel weird when he saw my sweaty hands.

"Good meal" Davin said, then chewed on the steak. I tried to eat it but somehow I couldn't feel anything.

"Why? Not delicious?" davin asked, which made me realize he was looking at me. Maybe he felt weird because I just ate a little bit of my food.

I'm shaking. "I'm just lacking taste" I replied slowly. I usually eat a lot, but how do I eat when my heart beats like this?

"You deserve to be skinny. Now eat. I won't let you go if there's still food left on your plate."

I smiled wryly. He reminds me of Brenda. I ended up finishing my meal without remaining as she kept glaring at me as I was about to put down my fork and knife. Although it sucks, I should be thanking Davin. Thanks to him, I don't need to eat alone, something I don't really like. Even though we ate in silence, I didn't feel lonely, probably because of the bulging.

Our attention was shifted when there was a voice behind me calling Davin. The thing is, I know that voice! I didn't turn my body around because Davin told me to shut up. I'm panicking! But when he saw Davin's face, he wasn't like me. He smiled at his new guest.

"Why are you here, Stella? Soon it was curfew and no students could come out" Davin said, staring at Stella, who was standing right next to me.

"I'm hungry, sir. Why are you here by yourself?" ask Stella. She's staring. "Friends Father?" ask again and point at me.

"This is my junior. Ren, know this is my student, Stella," Davin said. Bizarrely. His tone sounds ordinary. Like someone introducing their friend. I just smiled as I extended my hand to Stella. Stella's face was somewhat suspicious when she saw that smile of mine.

"I think I know. Have we met?" ask Stella. I swallowed my saliva.

I just nodded as Davin asked me that.

"You better order through room service and eat in the room. I don't want to see you eating alone here" Davin told Stella.

Stella looks scowled. "I thought I could eat with my dad."

Davin smiled sweetly. "Unfortunately I got booked first." Smile disappeared. "Go back to your room now!"

Stella obeyed Davin's orders and before leaving us, she nodded at me. I nodded back at him while raising my hand. After Stella died, I laughed out loud even to the point of holding my stomach. Davin looked at me strangely when he saw me laughing.

"Let's see the expression of the Father. So convincing!" I answered when Davin asked me why I was laughing. Davin simply smiled wryly as he sipped his drink.

I cleared my throat to ease my laughter. "So, who's Ren did you mean just now?" I asked while looking at him.

"I'm not lying. Your name is Florentia. I'm just taking the middle of your name" Davin reluctantly replied, shrugging both shoulders. Hearing that, I laughed again.

"God. My thoughts are fast!" praise me while shaking my head.

"It's precisely you who can't think fast when you graduate MIT."

I frowned at me. "Why do you know?"

"Who doesn't know? Freya always said that her brother graduated from MIT and worked at Pioneer Technosoft. A year and a half ago you fixed a broken school system without coming to school. You're even in another part of the world!"

I smiled thinly. "The school system is indeed the easiest to destroy, sir. The proof is that no one is aware that there is a small hole in the system, except for the Father of course."

"Why did you put a virus on your school computer? There's no other way? Thanks to you, a lot of other viruses made it in."

"I can fix it if you want. But not now of course. If I fix it, my virus can be damaged."

Davin looked at me. "What virus are you using, anyway? I can't even remove the virus."

I smiled broadly. "Make my own. It's not a bad virus. Precisely after I fix it later, the security of the school system will be much greater!"

Davin laughed while shaking. "The system maker will be angry if for example you do not clean up what you are damaged."

"Silent. He doesn't need to know unless you know for sure."

"Sadly he knew."

My eyes widen while looking at him. "What did you say just now?" I just don't believe it.

"I said the system maker knew without anyone saying."

"From anywhere"

"I know? Of course because I was the first to discover the leak."

My eyes are getting wider. Davin sipped his drink while looking at me.

"Oh, did I not say that I created the system?

Davin smiled so innocently at me as if he didn't feel that what he said just now really surprised me. My eyes widened to see his attitude. He cleared his throat, trying to get me to focus on him. I also cleared my throat and closed my mouth which had been gaping wide ever since. Davin was still smiling as he placed an index finger on his lips.

"But don't tell anyone. Consider this our little secret" Davin said calmly. "Now we are even. I know your secret and you know my secret. So if I divulge your secret..." He shrugged both his shoulders. "Please tell everyone what my secret is."

I took a long breath. Trying to digest his attitude. I cleared my throat and looked at him. "Mr don't worry. As you said just now, I'm NOT interested in leaking your secrets. I only asked one thing for you."

"What's that?" davin asked while raising both eyebrows.

"Can you tell me who the real Father is?"

Davin smiled. I don't know because of what. He shrugged both of his shoulders. "If so, you should find out for yourself. I have no interest in revealing my other secrets."

"The problem is that I can't find out about you at all! I told you that you are like a newborn person where I could not find a single trace of you!"

Davin chuckles softly. "Sorry, Flo," he replied with a smile. Suddenly he got up from his seat. "A nice dinner. Thank you for accompanying me on a conversation."

Davin turned his body and left me still confused by his attitude. What the hell is he? Why is he so mysterious? I sighed in annoyance and called the waiter. He's the one who took me to eat with him, left me here alone and I'm the one who has to pay for the food? Gosh darn. What was my dream last night?

"I asked for the bill" I said to the waiter. The waiter looked at me strangely.

"But you just paid for all the food" replied the waiter. I frowned at me. Suddenly an idea came to my mind.

"May I ask him what to pay for? Credit card?" tanyaku.

"Cash," replied the waiter, which disappointed me. I nodded at him while thanking him and left the restaurant.

I was hoping that, for example, Davin would pay using a credit card or debit card, I could ask the waiter his real name. But unfortunately, Davin even paid using cash. I growled with annoyance at his so careful attitude. How do I find out about him? And the more I think about him, the crazier I'm going to get.

...***...

I don't understand what they're telling me. Thinking about who Davin was, I couldn't close my eyes last night. Damn indeed. That's why I can't focus on what I did today. It was fortunate that I had already completed my task of testing the program that the conference participants had created so that I did not feel that my burden was too heavy. My attention was shifted when Darry called me.

"Mother Florentia, when will I reveal the results of yesterday's testing program?" ask Darry. I'm staring.

"It's done. Later the program maker just faced me so I could explain what they needed to change or fix," I replied as I sipped my coffee.

I'm at a hotel restaurant, eating my breakfast, while Darry tells me what my schedule is today. Thankfully I went straight back to Jakarta tonight because I didn't know until when I could disguise myself or avoid my classmates. I sent a short message to Davin saying I'd be back tonight and he told me not to worry. I'm not worried. I was just curious about him. Who he is, where he comes from, why he looks like he knows me and others.

My attention was shifted when I heard the noise behind me. I let out my breath.

Why do I always meet them?

What sins?

I say goodbye to Darry and walk as fast as I can to avoid my classmates. Davin did tell me this morning that today is a free event and students are free to do anything as long as it is not too far from the hotel. It looks like they are thinking of eating at this restaurant. As fast as lightning, I tried to walk away from the crowd of my schoolmates while bowing my head. Thank goodness I was able to avoid them. I am even more grateful because today I will spend time as a speaker at the conference today so that there is a small possibility that I can meet them. After all, the conference is required to have a participant card or they may not enter.

I got into the elevator while raising my eyebrows. Good thing I used my disguise, my wig and my sunglasses I mean, so when I crossed paths with Daisy, she didn't realize it was me. I deliberately marginalized my body so that when Daisy and my friends got into the elevator, they didn't see me. I smiled when I heard them talk about me. Especially Daisy who regrets my absence. I bow my head. Why do I feel guilty for lying to them?

As they exited the elevator, I stared at my reflection through the glass in front of me. What if they knew who I really was, they wouldn't forgive me? Especially Daisy because she was so close to me and always stuck to me wherever I went. Taking a deep breath, I got out of the elevator. Ironical. Thought.
