The Duda's Beloved Girl

The Duda's Beloved Girl
31. Lala's sorrow

One of Lala's neighbors sat on the bed, doing the same thing Lala did. Then his eyes returned to the other neighbors. He shook his head with a sad looking face.

“We've lost it,” he said to others.

“We are very sorry neng,” said the other.

Lala paid no heed to them, her gaze was already empty. Not even what his neighbors were talking about he heard.

“Mother mother, it is better for one of us to go to the house of Mr. Rt. Then we will go to the mosque to broadcast this news,” proposed the woman who carried the baby.

“I am here yes ma'am, kasian neng Lala.” replied the fat woman.

“Alright, if so I will also call the other residents,”

After the few people left, the mother who had wanted to accompany him immediately sat beside him. He stroked Lala's shoulder patiently.

“Neng Lala is patient well,” he said.

Two hours later

Siti's funeral process is done, everyone gave condolences to Lala who had been crouching on her mother's grave with an empty face. After praying for Siti they all went straight home and just left Lala alone there. Actually they had also persuaded Lala to go home but Lala refused. Lala said she still wanted to accompany her mother.

After all, Lala came back crying alone while wiping her mother's new headstone.

“Mother, why do you have to leave Lala so soon. Lala still needs mom, why do you have to leave Lala alone. Now Lala has no one else.” Lala again sobbed and shed her tears. His pain continued to grow every time he saw his mother's name on the tombstone.

“Mother, yesterday mother was still asleep on a soft mattress, now mother only sleeps on the ground. Yesterday Lala still hugged the warm body of her mother, now Lala just hugged this tombstone. Yesterday the mother still took medicine from Lala now Lala just sows flowers on the mother's headstone.  Lala does not promise not to cry about the mother's departure, but Lala will try to accept it and let her down. May you calm down there,”

Lala kissed the tombstone while closing her eyes. The wind was blowing around the cemetery, as if there was something there. Lala pulled back her face then saw the cooling wind. Surprisingly, the wind was only around his mother's funeral.

Lala pulled back her face then looked back, she looked around.

“If mom is still here, Lala just wants to say Lala loves mom,” he said with a thin smile.

The white shadow that was beside Siti's headstone could only smile while crying as she looked at Lala.

“Sorry mom, La. I know you've sinned because you chose this path. May your life be good without your mother. I will always pray for you from here. If only mother could say this, Nak Devan is innocent La. But mom can't, goodbye baby”

The moment the white shadow wanted to touch Lala's hair, her body instantly disappeared.

After a few minutes, Lala started to stand up and get up. He looked at the gravestone for the last time before returning home. He smiled and began to walk and leave the funeral.

The next day, Devan really brought Clarisa back to Indonesia. Their plane just landed at the airport. Aris and Fitri immediately went down first in accordance with Devan's own orders. They were ordered to prepare everything including the car that would take them to his office straight away.

Devan turned his head to Clarisa who was still sleeping and leaned on her shoulder. Devan smiled cynically, without any pity at all Devan immediately stood up without moving Clarisa's head. As a result, Clarisa's head had to fall on her seat Devan, making her wake up.

Devan stared at him flatly, “Wake up! We've arrived. Now you also have to come with me to the office,” Devan told Clarisa who was still half conscious from her sleep.

“Can I rest first?! We find a hotel first before going to your office,” said Clarisa with a clear facial expression.

Clarisa hopes Devan still gives her a break first. Because when traveling on a plane Clarisa continues to feel nausea so great. And that's why now his body looks limp.

“You think I'll be kind to you after what you did? Not anymore Clarisa?! Want you to limp or get sick I don't care. Get up and get down right now. Our car is already waiting outside,” snapped Devan on Clarisa.

Eventually Clarisa wakes up too. He doesn't want to make Devan even more angry at him. Although the dizziness in her head was still there, Clarisa forced herself to get up and walk with Devan to get off the plane.

They both got off the plane.

Twenty minutes later, Aris and Fitri return with Devan's suitcase and Devan's suitcase.

“Pak, the car is waiting outside,” Aris told Devan.

Devan nodded then turned his head to Clarisa who kept silent from earlier.

“Quick follow me!” ketus Devan on Clarisa. Then Devan began to step further away from them. Clarisa immediately followed Devan in her slow steps.

Fitri just shook her head, she felt concerned for Clarisa but she also thanked him at once.

“That is the result of acting without thinking,” muttered Fitri who was heard by Aris who was still standing next to him.

“You don't like that, baby,” said Aris arrived.

Fitri turned her head to Aris who was smiling sweetly at her. Instantly her cheeks were reddened.

“What the hell sir, don't be ashamed, deh.” Sebal Fitri with pursed his lips.

Aris chuckled, now he was relieved after the incident on the beach at that time. Aris expresses a sense to Fitri, and she also tells him about Devan's relationship with Lala. That's what makes Fitri less likely to like Devan again. In the end, Fitri gives him the chance to fall in love with her again. And Aris will not waste that opportunity.

When Devan's car arrived at the office, the reporters waiting in his office immediately surrounded his car so that Clarisa and Devan did not get off for a while.

“Look at Cla, it's all because of you! They all make slanted news about me because of your mouth too!”
