The Duda's Beloved Girl

The Duda's Beloved Girl
16. A hug

Lala glanced at Devan who nodded her head while smiling.

“She has realized her mistake, just take off La.” Devan.

Lala just took the woman's hair off.

“Quick! Pay for your rug according to the crushed chili,”

The woman nodded, her hair already looking random because of Lala's jayakan. He immediately took his wallet and gave all his sales money today. After that, he went and ran away.

Lala counted the money but suddenly he was already in someone's arms. Lala was stunned, Devan hugged her tightly. Lala was silent in Devan's arms. But he did not rebel as usual. Lala enjoys Devan's embrace. Slowly his hand also returned Devan's embrace.

“Sorry, I came late,” Devan said between his arms.

Lala did not reply, instead, she further submerged her face in the chest of Devan's field. Lala spilled her tears again. This was the first time he felt protected by someone. At first, Lala did not like Devan. But as time goes by Lala has become accustomed to Devan's presence in her life.

“Still, brother.” Lala replied with a voice that was not very clear.

Devan rounded his eyes when he heard the call coming out of Lala's mouth. Instantly he let go of his embrace then cupped Lala's face with both hands.

“What do you call me?” devan asked with a happy face.

Lala who was treated like that suddenly felt nervous in her heart. Her cheeks are heating up because Devan's hands are stuck to her cheeks. Lala ventured to raise her face and saw Devan's face which was now very close to her.

“I call you brother, do you mind?” lala asked with her innocent face.

Devan who was feeling anxious with Lala instantly pinched her cheek slowly. “Gemesin really you. Precisely I am happy if you call me like that. at least I am not om om om for you,”

“Then from now on I call him brother Devan huh?”

“Boleh, then I wouldn't call myself me anymore either. Now it's just me, you and us.” Answer Devan

Lala smiled and removed Devan's hand from her cheek. The longer the hand is there maybe Lala's face will get warmer. He won't let it. Devan whose hand was removed immediately lowered his hand.

“From us a long time here it's better to go back to your stall. Actually I came here to take you to lunch together because I saw you like that you know I stayed in the food there and hit that guy,”

“Then let's go back,”

Lala walked over and left Devan alone. He would cross but a hand would hold his hand. Lala turned to her side and found Devan who was smiling sweetly at her.

“Let's be safe,” Devan said so Lala didn't ask.

Lala nodded and let Devan hold her hand.

After the vehicle began to deserted, the two of them immediately crossed. Even so Devan did not let go of his hand even though they had finished crossing. Lala and Devan entered the market hand in hand.

After arriving at his lap, Lala took off that grip.

Devan also takes the food he keeps next to Lala's stall. Fortunately, the food was still intact and no one took it.

“Drinking is not cold, you have no problem right?” devan asked while showing him a chocolate drink with a plastic glass in the style of a restaurant.

“Gpp coke, sis.” Answer Lala.

Devan nodded in understanding, he walked over to Lala who cleared the place. Devan also helped him, he opened his suit and kept it first.

Many people were watching them, but both ignored them. After cleaning the new place, they had lunch together. Lala opened her rice box and started feeding herself by hand. While Devan, he was not used to using his hands as a result he used a spoon. Lala who saw him immediately rebuked him.

“Try me, brother. Do not use a mulu spoon. Eat with your hands better tau,” he said.

“I'm not used to it,” Devan replied clumsily.

Lala just shook her head then took a mouthful of rice and side dishes then she thrust it at Devan. “Try first, here I bribe,” he said as he looked at Devan's face which suddenly turned red.

Devan brought his face closer and ate from the bribe Lala gave him. Her thin lips came into contact with Lala's soft hands. After that, he returned to his face while chewing the food.

“Where's sis? Delicious no?” lala asked after seeing Devan's reaction.

Devan nodded, “More good to bribe you turned out.”

Lala laughed and continued eating. So even with Devan, they eat while occasionally chatting. Until it did not feel like time was going so fast, Devan finished his lunch farewell to return to the office.

It did not feel like it was late afternoon, Lala was already preparing to return home from the market. He should have come home from noon today because all the chili was broken and there was nothing to sell. But Lala chose to stay in the market. He did not want to make his mother curious if he had to go home early.

Lala took the keys to the bike home. On the way home Lala kept thinking about Devan. Devan's treatment today makes Lala suddenly misses the man, but only a few hours they met now Lala even misses him.

“Oh Lala, why are you! You don't usually think of guys!” he murmured in the heart.

Lala shook her head trying to clear her mind about Devan. He continued on his way home until he got home.

Night

Lala was still awake even though time had shown at twelve o'clock last night, since she tried to sleep but could not. Lala was looking for a comfortable position, but she couldn't sleep. Lala clucked in annoyance and decided to get off the bed. He came out of his room and chose to go outside. Lala sat in the front seat of the house while looking at the darkness of the night outside.

Whenever Lala could not sleep, she always went out to see the expanse of stars in the sky. Despite the night, Lala was never afraid to sit outside alone. Instead, he felt calm every time outside alone. Lala hugged her own body as the cold started piercing her skin.

“That night is so beautiful, you will only know its beauty when you get used to the darkness. If anyone says the night was scary it means he was just looking at it from the angle of his fear. He did not see it based on serenity. Night is synonymous with darkness, darkness that can give light.”
