40. The war began (2)

“Minister, I will advance to the battlefield carrying our cavalry”, the mysterious man asked permission to minister Balda to come forward to attack. Minister Balda was silent, his mind was still focused on the battle that was going on. Given on the other side there is someone who has a sense and a qualified strategy, worry then attacked Balda's minister.

“Minister need not worry, we will give a quick death to our opponent”, the mysterious man continues to try to convince minister Balda with his stance.

Minister Balda then turned to the mysterious man, “Their attack is as strong as possible, lest there be anything left!”, said Balda minister.

Hearing that order the mysterious man went towards the horsemen he was in.  The sound of a trumpet immediately sounded as a sign of assaulting the horsemen led by a mysterious man. They drove the horse as fast as possible to get to the field of action to help the Adipura royal forces.

In the chaos of the war Aryo and Subani can see the movement of the opposing cavalry. Aryo smiled, everything went according to the plan that had been prepared by Patih Purno. Then he began to shout in the middle of the battlefield, “Slowly retreat!”, Aryo gave orders that were immediately carried out by each of his troops.

The rebel forces then retreated regularly, the Adipura royal forces who saw it were astonished. Rebel forces had managed to overwhelm them but now they are retreating from the battlefield slowly.

“Don't let them pass!”

“You're not going anywhere!”

“Death to you!”

A Patih from the kingdom of Adipura was about to slash the neck of his opponent, but the slash never reached because his neck was first cut by the sword Aryo. The coach looked at the figure that had attacked him, with bulging eyes while holding back the blood from the wound on his neck.

“Sorry uncle, I have to kill you”, Aryo recognizes that Patih is none other than Patih who was with him on the last day he became king of Adipura kingdom. Aryo did not expect to meet him, but he also did not expect their meeting to end with each other becoming enemies in the war.

Patih was lowering his gaze to Aryo, “Maa—maa—affff..”, his voice did not sound clear as blood began to fill his throat. Aryo was dazed when he saw Patih who used to protect him actually now had to die because of his attack. “I will give my dear uncle death”, with half-hearted Aryo holding his sword with both hands intending to stab his opponent.

The coach looked at the face of Aryo that he had once protected, although it changed slightly but in the blink of an eye he could recognize it clearly. There is no more the carefree face of the king who used to be, now the expression of Aryo there is only firmness. Patih smiled and then let go of what happened next.

Aryo thrust his sword right at the heart of Patih it was in, in an instant his prick had made his opponent lose his life that day. “May the gods lead uncle up there”, Aryo is so devastated, in war we will meet death everywhere. But when losing the closest figure in the war is only an endless arena of suffering.

Subani sees the action that has been done by Aryo, he can see the sadness of his fight friend when he has killed one of his opponents just now. Subani then moved from her place to get closer to where Aryo was. When the distance was close to Aryo, his instinct told him that there was danger from behind him.

It was true that not long after that a knife flew towards him from behind. The knife was speeding through the air, but with a monkey-like motion, Subani was able to dodge the knife. The knife he had managed to avoid then continued to accelerate and hit one of the rebel forces right in his chest, making him thrown backwards because of the strength of the energy from the knife.

“It turns out this guy that Purno had talked about in the meeting, I can't just let it go”, Subani took a swing to attack his opponent, while his opponent was also preparing for a duel between them. Immediately the two ran forward and the duel was finally inevitable.

Subani with his bare hands continued to fend off every attack of his opponent who used two knives as his weapon. An exchange of attacks occurred between the two, making the atmosphere of war even more festive with their duels. Every attack from his opponent used overwhelming physical strength, according to the information he had obtained from his comrade that the strength of that person could not be underestimated.

“True what Purno said, the physical strength of this person is equivalent to a level 5 wolf swordsman. If there are many opponents like this will be a problem later”, Subani commented in her heart. One alone can kill many, especially if there are hundreds or even thousands. Maybe they won't win today.

Not wanting to linger, he then launched a punch at his opponent. His opponent tried to avoid the blow but his movement read, Subani's punch was just bait to lure his opponent into the trap he had made. Quickly the punch turned into an unexpected kick towards his opponent's stomach, his opponent who had not expected it to react too late. A kick from Subani now landed on her stomach right in the heart feather making her fall to the ground.

Opponents from Subani then groan in pain due to his unexpected attack, Subani will not miss the opportunity that has been obtained. He then moved forward to complete the duel between the two, “Keep monkey” lockdown move, with Subani's quick movements now locking up his opponent's movements.

His opponent who was still in a condition to withstand the pain in his stomach must now be made not warted by the moves of Subani. His gaze began to darken as Subani locked onto his opponent's movements right around his neck, making him a difficulty in breathing. His opponent's body twitched because of that and it didn't take long for Subani's opponent to finally have to lay down his life in his hands.

Finished with a short duel then Subani immediately stood up and approached Aryo who was fighting their opponent's forces. Subani then helped Aryo and their combination managed to suppress the movement of his opponent who wanted to jerk forward. With that combination his opponents became shrivelled to advance, seeing his comrades easily paralyzed and even killed made their spirits drop drastically.
