The Dragon God Swordsman

The Dragon God Swordsman
26. Falabea Dance

The man was silent on the spot while trying to catch his breath, he saw the injuries his opponent had made. He growled and his gaze returned to Patih Purno. Patih Purno responded casually as if ready to move on.

The audience is already impatient what will happen next, how not to be behind the tension for some people it is an interesting spectacle. They hope this show will be more exciting next.

“I didn't expect the strength of that person to be this big uncle. We have to negotiate after this duel” Aryo told the old man.

“Hamba also surprised young master, this could be a danger if we let him” replied the old man agreed with the opinion of Aryo.

The two of them no longer continued talking, now their eyes were focused on that person. That person who was originally silent now raised the spear upwards. Patih Purno thought the man would attack again but the attack never arrived.

“What does he do?” said a soldier watching.

“I don't know, this I just saw” replied the soldier nearby.

“The movement is strange” timpal other warriors.

The black man is now performing a dance. He began to move his legs by swinging them forward and the next movement crossed. He did it repeatedly while mentioning a word.

“Falabea... Falabeans... Falabea..” said the person many times while dancing.

Everyone was astonished at what the man was doing was no exception to his opponent Patih Purno. It took Patih Purno time to remember what the man was doing. According to his knowledge the man was performing a war dance which was an honorable dance for a warrior from a black tribe.

This dance originated in the eastern part of the land and is a dance used for this kind of situation. Its function is nothing but to motivate themselves or to have the ancestral spirits help them in a war. But one must know, through this dance someone is ready to face death if lost in a duel or war.

“Truly a tough fighter” said Patih Purno with a smile on his lips.

The dance did not last long, as it stopped quickly the person moved back towards his opponent. Everyone was shocked again because after the dance the man immediately ran so fast like never before as if he had gained new strength.

They do not know that the usefulness of the dance is to burn the spirit in the person. That person was already intending to die in his duel if needed. An opponent as strong as anything would not make him tremble in the slightest.

Patih Purno is also moving but it takes time to compensate. This is because Patih Purno is very careful in taking steps. He preferred to defend to see his opponent's attack. While his opponent so eagerly continued to attack him nonstop.

“Attacks are still a lot of gaps, whether he has not mastered his attack techniques” Patih Purno said in his heart.

His opponent's attack was fast but behind it his defense was minimal. With one stabbing movement towards the face, the person backed down while holding his cheek which now had a considerable wound. Fresh blood now flowed from behind the wound but soon it was Patih Purno's turn to attack first.

Patih Purno jumps zig-zag to confuse his opponent and turns out to be successful. Patih Purno's movements were not successfully read by his opponent so that his opponent's hand holding a spear was cut and now separated from its place.

“Aaaargggghgggghh” shouts in pain of the man.

The cry of the man was so strong and echoed that night, a cry that was so painful but if heard carefully there was a sad tone behind the shout. This person was in pain but did not last long and was replaced with sadness that he had already lost this duel.

The man now fell to his knees with his head lowered as his left hand tried to cover up his opponent's slash wound. Patih Purno sighed softly and then walked slowly towards his opponent. When it was near how surprised Patih Purno found his opponent crying in such a state.

“Sorry, I have to kill you” Patih Purno said while taking a swing to slash his opponent.

His opponent looked at Patih Purno for a moment and then he sat up straight and his cry he endured by biting his lips until it bled. When he was steady he nodded his head ready to be executed. Patih Purno swung his spear and immediately his opponent's head separated from its place.
