The Demon King Mode System

The Demon King Mode System
CHAPTER 9: MODIFICATION

In addition to exploring, observing, and hunting closely, Roy has been designing the design these past few days.

The first draft he completed used his hand as a reference object. He made his entire palm bigger and savage, looking like a bone shell and a messy bone spurs that protruded like spikes covering it. He even extended his nails and made them sharper with hook-like arches. It even shone with a metallic radiance.

Roy's initial definition for this transformation was Steel and Flexible Materials.

Yes, this was Roy's first modification plan, creating a pair of hands with steel claws for himself!

This is just a preliminary idea. In Roy's conception, if he had enough souls in the future, he also planned to turn his nails into adamantium to achieve an indestructible and powerful force. He also planned this transformation extending to his entire arm.

This idea naturally came from Wolverine's claws. However, Roy guessed that the number of souls and the quality might not be enough to make it with adamantium, so his current thought was to turn it into ordinary steel.

With a pair of sharp claws, his superiority in battle proved itself. Even if he were to face a strong opponent, he could easily tear their defenses apart with them. Moreover, his own weapon would not run into such a problem as the lack of ammunition.

The second modification plan was Roy's tail.

Due to his different body structure, Roy cannot walk fully upright like he used to when he was human. He could stand up but not straighten his body, causing him to slouch. For now, he had used this arrow-like tail to maintain his body's balance. Besides, the tail is not very useful.

Not only was it unable to help Roy in battle, but it was also a weak point of his body, becoming sensitive and fragile, making him in great pain after being injured.

Therefore, to eliminate the weakness, Roy's second modification plan was in the aftermath. He drew a long tail protruding from his spine. It has parts, from thick to sharp, beautifully simplified. Roy designed three bone blades that could open and close at the end of his tail. When opened, it can pick up objects; when closed, it can be a triangular blade that can penetrate thick steel plates easily.

If done according to his eyesight, this long tail, after being combined with his body, could even give his spine a protruding bone-shaped, making it look more domineering and savage.

He has no other choice. He was disappointed with this world where appearances were everything! It was the same even in this Demon World. Here, his looks value is strong, scary, and barbaric. If your appearance has no deterrent power and cannot cause fear in others, then perhaps even ordinary monsters will dare to test you …

Now that Roy has become a demon with no human form, he frees himself completely and lets his imagination run wild.

Roy was somewhat satisfied with the design of the tail. Its definition for the tail is Bone Material, Flexible, Regeneration, and Hard Like Steel.

Once he has enough soul in the future, Roy also plans to turn his tail into adamantium so that it can become a true steel tail in the true sense of the word.

The third modification plan is also the last modification plan that Roy made lately. It is not for partial transformation, but for the whole body.

In the third picture, Roy draws a syringe gun and a test tube that matches a syringe gun.

This reaction tube is very interesting. The upper and lower ends were wrapped in silver-white metal, while in the middle were two separate spiral tubes with blue liquid inside.

" It's very familiar, isn't it? " That's true because Roy's definition for this fluid is T-Virus!

Roy can remember the appearance of the T-Virus from the film, but he is not clear about the Super Soldier Serum. Of course, he could have drawn a random test tube and then defined it as a reinforcing agent. It would work as well, but Roy felt that creations that came out of the air might require more soul than something he had formed in his memory.

Just like the revolver he made before, he gave basic definitions, size, volume, and so on when drawing it. Additional text definitions are just to perfect it. However, something he thought of all of a sudden needed a more detailed definition, thus requiring more souls.

Therefore, Roy finally chose the T-Virus. That in itself is a concept that optimizes and develops its genes thoroughly for the purpose of improving physical fitness and eliminating disease. It comes from the concepts given to it in movies, novels, and games. Moreover, it was the most basic improvement when compared to G-Virus, Veronica Virus, and the like. It was a perfect fit for Roy's current weak body and had little chance of being unsuited.

However, due to concerns over its stability and whether or not its demonic body could adapt to this virus, Roy provides two additional definitions for this T-Virus:(Perfect Infusion and No Side Effect! )This way, he doesn't have to worry about being a zombie…

If Roy's existing soul could manifest the T-Virus, then he could become even stronger after injecting himself with it. If he was lucky, he might even gain superpowers. That's very efficient.

Three modification plans, three drawings forming three materials. He is now ready to see which is the cheapest.

He had a low-level demon soul and four monsters. These five souls were all ‘ low-quality’ souls in the system evaluation, and only the volume and value were different, so Roy started testing each material one by one.

The modified images of both the hand and tail adaptively resize to fit the body after being placed on the main page of the interface. The T-Virus requires no adaptation and is displayed immediately. However, after his test, Roy discovers that the number of souls he has is just enough to complete his tail!

It surprised Roy because his tail had the most attributes. Why become a tail if more attributes require more souls?

In addition to the 100% tail, his hand modification could only reach 20% complete, while the T-Virus was even less than 5%!

In other words, if Roy wanted to change his hand, he needed a soul at least five times more than he currently had. Moreover, he would need twenty times more souls for the T-Virus!

Roy was surprised "What is going on??

After careful study, Roy realizes what went wrong. The reason why the modification of his hand required more souls even though he defined fewer attributes was probably because he defined the material as steel.

1 It is naturally more difficult for steel to have as much flexibility as a living body. It has to be bio-metal to achieve this. On the contrary, there may be more definitions for a tail, but the material is bone. That means it can be solved by multiplying Roy's own cells. Hard as Steel only strengthens bones, so the overall modification of the tail is easier than the hand.

As for T-Virus, Roy immediately understood. After giving two definitions, T-Virus becomes the perfect reinforcing agent, which is why it takes so many souls.

In this case, Roy can almost confirm his modification plan with immediate — either directly modifying the tail or changing the definition of the arm and then modifying his arm. He didn't even need to think about T-Virus for now.

After thinking about it, he chose to modify his tail and eliminate his weakness first.

After attaching the tail to his body in the main courtyard and pressing the save, a tingling sensation spread throughout his spine...
