THE CRUELTY OF MY PARALYZED HUSBAND

THE CRUELTY OF MY PARALYZED HUSBAND
2. Escape Intent

"A hundred percent." Maria crossed out her son's wedding preparation list.

He sniffed in relief and felt the burden in his family would soon be over. As a family that was seen as very influential it ended up just waiting for that day to come. Asya agreed to marry Fagan despite being forced to.

"Ma, wouldn't it be embarrassing? The groom is in a wheelchair like this?" ask Fagan worried.

"Don't think of anything, you just need to be the bravest groom ever, honey. The rest leave Mama." Maria explained.

Fagan just nodded in agreement. Since she was sentenced to be paralyzed by the accident, only Maria has been able to raise her heart. Fagan's birth mother can make her confidence back, although sometimes she also feels inferior. The news of his paralysis a while ago hit him very hard, not to mention that the lover he loved so much suddenly decided to cancel the wedding a month before all was held.

"Elina threw you away after knowing you were paralyzed, honey. He left without thinking if you were the most perfect man he had all along. Mama doesn't want you to fall because of Elina. You should be able to rise up and make your life back at the peak of your glory as Elvander's son." Maria spoke inwardly as she looked towards Fagan who was sitting while playing his phone.

"Mrs, Miss Asya has come." A housekeeper reported.

Fagan looked at the newsman. He knew that today was the last day of the wedding suit fittings that both of them would wear at the wedding. Hearing Asya's name, Fagan became excited. She knew that her bride would try on the dress that the Elvander family had prepared for her.

"Come on, Fagan." Maria led her son into the living room by pushing his wheelchair.

The handsome face and sturdy body of the man was nowhere to be seen since he could only sit in a wheelchair. The limitations of Fagan made him very lousy. Even sometimes Fagan hated himself for the circumstances.

Slowly, Asya's face became increasingly visible to the two after passing through the room divider consisting of thick opaque glass. Until finally the ayu girl who chose to resign stood up to welcome her future husband and mother-in-law.

"Sit down, Asya." Maria invited the girl to sit down very politely.

"Thank you, Madam," Asya replied and sat back down while looking down.

The atmosphere felt very awkward. Fagan doesn't talk much there either. It was seen that the man had a cold character and was insensitive to his surroundings.

"Fagan, is there anything you want to talk about?" ask Maria.

"He finally agreed. I'm just saying that after she's my bride, she has to be there for me 24 hours and can't argue with anything" Fagan said.

Maria commented with a smile, Fagan, who was firm and strong in principle, said what he wanted as a future husband. Although Asya is only a girl, but it seems the condition that Fagan said is absolute.

"Bring her now" she asked a woman standing at the door of a room.

Without being able to resist, Asya simply complied and entered. He walked with heavy footsteps. For Asya to be imprisoned or married would be the same. He will be tormented because this is not what he wants. Especially when Fagan wants him 24 hours is always there for him.

When the door opened, a white dress was displayed with full of flickering gems. I don't know what kind of gem even Asya himself doesn't know. She simply followed what the woman had commanded and immediately the beautiful dress was attached to her white body.

"Your skin is very attractive. Smooth, white and clean. It's perfect for this dress" she said.

Asya replied with a mere smile, he did not have to react like what so he chose to remain silent and only occasionally nodded and shook his head at the request of the very designer.

"Your mother-in-law's taste is incredible. This dress is the best" she said.

The designer led Asya out of the room. The girl who still put on her flat face looked very graceful and classy. Even the dress shuts down the fact that Asya came from such a shabby place and from a poor family.

"It's amazing, he's so fancy" Maria said.

"You like it, Madam? Is there anything I should revise?" ask designer.

"I like it, lower the waist a little more. That part of the body does not seem to be optimal" explained Maria.

"His waist is still the size of Miss Elina, it looks like their bodies are the same, only Miss Asya is slimmer at the waist," explained the designer.

"How, Fagan? Do you like it?" ask Maria.

"Elina is so beautiful, Ma." Fagan even still hallucinated if the girl wearing the dress was Elina.

"He's Asya, Fagan." Maria revises.

Soon Fagan returned from the hallucinations he created himself and looked the other way. It is undeniable that Fagan's heart is still intact for the woman.

"Elina's? Even Fagan called me by that name. This dress is also her dress. Whatisthis? Why should they destroy me?" Such questions do not stop making Asya's heart become fed up. Even though he decided to get married, in fact he still continues to be worried by the situation.

The fittings were finished and Asya was ushered home by the family driver. The interaction between Asya and Fagan was almost non-existent. Other than just staring at each other intently, there was not a word or two.

"The next day you will be picked up, you do not need to bring anything because the Madam has prepared everything" the Elvander family driver said in accordance with Masia's mandate.

Asya just nodded her head and she immediately walked into the house. His limp body as his mind drifted away it collapsed onto the rickety sofa that was in his narrow living room. Then he leaned his head until the ceiling of the room looked worn.

"Have a good time, Ma'am." The voice of a woman made Asya flinch.

"How sows? You know who they are" Asya said.

"Mbak Asya seems very depressed. Are you sure you can do all this? They are very terrible," said Zalina—adik Besar Asya.

"You run away and you can finish all this, I may have been doing it from yesterday, Lin. In fact I can't. There you are the same Father who must be thinking," explained Asya.

Zalina lowered her head, she was concerned about what befell her brother. He knew that Asya was not the one who should be sacrificed, but the power and wealth of the Elvander family could not be resisted. They could have done something unexpected that could have made Asya suffer more.

"The day after tomorrow will be the most horrible thing for me. I don't know how a cold, secretive Fagan would treat me as his wife. I'm getting married to a paralyzed man I know but never knew. Did Zalina really say I could run away?" said Asya while looking at the mirror of her shabby dresser.

The girl's mind continued to rage to no end. That night in that old room is coming to an end. Asya will soon be brought to the great palace of Fagan after officially becoming the wife of the man who can now only sit in the wheelchair.

* * *

Asya has been transformed into the most beautiful bride. She used various jewels full of gems that the Elvander Family prepared for her. Until after finishing, Asya waited in a room that was so magnificent. He came alone without his parents and brother. The beautiful dress that was attached to the girl's body was not comparable to her heart that was broken into pieces because she had to marry Fagan.

"Is there a chance to escape?" ogre.

He walked towards the window and thought of escaping as he thought. But what power, the many guards lined up on all sides of the building was clearly impossible Asya to penetrate. The girl sat down and put it all on her life's destiny. Asya really did not have any strength to go against the Elvander family.

"It's time to get out" said an officer from the wedding.

Asya got up from her seat and was helped by several people who were escorted into the party venue. He tried to perform optimally because he did not want to disappoint anyone.

All the guests cheered to welcome the bride into the ballroom. The pretty face and luxurious dress that Asya showed made all eyes on her. Decak amazed to make them bewitched to forget that the bride is not the girl whose name is listed in the invitation.

"It's so pretty" said one guest and the sentence was presumably approved by another. The praise and admiration of many people were thrown back and forth until Asya stood by the man named Fagan.

"It's a pity that the groom is disabled" chirped another guest.

"Don't talk recklessly. Who doesn't know Fagan Elvander. Even if he's dying, any girl would still be willing to be his wife" said another.

Fagan realized that he was the attention of many invited guests present. He tried to cover up his sense of regret for seeing Elina among the guests.

"Elina came with Aksa? Who invited them?" inner Fagan was tormented to see his ex-lover coming with his best friend by hand.
