The Cruel Fate

Part 9.1

Sandira and Smith came to the shop owner's grandfather's place and borrowed CCTV footage hidden behind his bakery.

They also explained the reason why they intended to borrow the CCTV footage.

Hearing the explanation made by Sandira, the store owner's grandfather immediately gave the CCTV tape.

Smith decided to play the tape before taking it to the city to be handed over to the police station to clear Sandira's name.

Smith's eyes widened to see how his unconscious grandfather was brought to a quiet place and stabbed a knife many times – times by a man – tall men.

Smith also saw how the man had made Sandira a scapegoat for all his actions.

Sandira closed her eyes while occasionally one or two drops of tears flowed down her cheeks when she saw the tape.

Grandfather of the store owner was no less surprised to see the CCTV in the pair caught a criminal act.

Seeing the tape, Smith made more believe in all the stories Sandira.

After seeing the recording, Smith and Sandira decided to leave the grandfather's house while carrying the proof of the recording they got.

Without them knowing it, the real culprit is following them. " Damn it! I'm late! I can't let them turn the tape over to the police. Who would have thought if there was a hidden CCTV. Shit!" said the man in his heart as he kept silent – quietly followed Smith and Sandira who were walking towards their car which was located quite far from the grandfather's house because the grandfather's house was in the near the forest so that the car can not pass the road leading to the grandfather's house.

They had to walk about 15 minutes through the forest to get to the grandfather's house. " Sandira, it looks like it's going to rain, we have to hurry, " said Smith who looked at the clouds that arrived – suddenly turned dark.

" Yes, we should hurry, "reply Sandira hastened her pace.

He thought Sandira and Smith's steps were getting faster because they realized his presence.

The tall man immediately ran towards Smith and Sandira with a knife.

Smith, who noticed someone approaching, looked back and was shocked to see a man running towards them, holding a knife in his hand.

" Sandira let's run! " said Smith then pulled Sandira running after him.

At first Sandira was confused but when looking back she realized the situation they were facing.

Sandira started to get scared but kept running. Sandira also realizes that the man chasing them is the same man who threatened her that night.

The chase action – their pursuit came to a halt when Smith and Sandira were cornered.

They could not run because they were faced with an abyss. Seeing his prey squeezed makes the tall man laugh out loud – bahak.

" You guys are right – really have bad luck! Hand over the tape now or you'll die in my hands! " said the tall man with a terrible look.

" Who are you? Who told you to?!" smith said with angry eyes.

" I ? You know me very well sir, " said the tall man while removing the mask that was attached to his face.

Smith found out that the man in front of him was one of the servants who worked at his house.

" You! " smit Smith was full of anger.

"Yes this is me sir, are you surprised? It must have been a shock, " said the man with a small laugh laughing at Smith who he thought was easy on the club.

Sandira who was not very understanding with the man just glanced at Smith and the man alternately confused.

" Do you know him ?" ask Sandira.

" You should know sir, we're not evil. We just chose our own path. Your family is evil because it does not give us more money so we do – things like this. So you better hand over the tape or else your life will be lost along with the girl's life! " said the man with a small smile.

Smith glanced at Sandira who looked terrified. " I'm going to hand it over, " said Smith, taking the tape in his pants pocket and approaching the man.

Seeing that, the man smiled with satisfaction. Smith handed the tape to the man but when the man received the tape and let his guard down.

Smith beat him to the point of making the tape and the man's knife was furthest from the man's hand. " Take the tape!" shouted Smith who was trying to restrain the man's movements.

Sandira hurried to take the recording. At the same time the man managed to make Smith look at and take his knife that fell not far from its place.

The man took the knife and headed towards Sandira who was unaware of the presence of the man who was getting closer to him.

" SANDIRA! " cried Smith who ran towards Sandira so that the knife pointed at Sandira hurt Smith's arm.

Seeing his intentions fail to make the man become even more angry and point the knife at Smith.

Even with an injured arm, Smith was able to dodge the knife attack aimed at him.

Fights were inevitable until the fight ended when Smith hit the man to fall to the edge of the abyss, when he was about to stand the man slipped and fell into the abyss.

Seeing that, Sandira could not hide her relief as well as Smith.

Smith then approached Sandira while enduring the pain in her arm and invited Sandira to leave the place immediately.

Sandira looked at Smith's injured arm. Sandira also recalled how Smith protected her and injured her arm.

" Is he really – really seriously into me?" sandira said in her heart. Sandira then tore off some of her clothes and made them into bandages to bandage Smith's wounds.

The act that Sandira had just done made Smith smile a little . " ah! My arms hurt so much, I can't seem to walk alone. Look, there's a lot of blood coming out of my arm. You've got to get me and help me walk, " said Smith, who inevitably made Sandira fill it up.

Smith smiled happily at Sandira who wiped her up to make her very close to Sandira.

" Thank you, "Sandira said without looking at Smith and kept her feet together with Smith.

" Isn't it my job to protect you? Do you like me a little bit now? Wasn't I just like a prince in a fairyland who saved a princess from danger? You must have been a little withered because of that, right ? aren't they? Don't you?" smith continued to smile, looking at Sandira who was wiping her.

Sandira's face flushed with Smith's words. The bells in his heart like starting to cause the tone – beautiful tones that ring in his ears.

" It seems you're not too sick because you can tease me like that" Sandira said, taking off Smith's hand, which was then embracing her.

Sandira walked first leaving Smith who groaned a little in pain because his arm was still painful.

" Yak! This is true – really hurts! " smith yelled bitterly that Sandira turned her back and pulled Smith back.

Looking at Sandira who was wiping her back made a smile float back on Smith's red lips.

" I don't think there's any harm in getting hurt like this if you can get it this close to me" Smith said.

"I think the bells in my heart that shouldn't be ringing are now getting louder" Sandira said in her heart.

People don't know when and with whom they will fall in love. They may even fall in love with someone they hate.
