The Crack of a Glass

The Crack of a Glass
Chapter 59: Late regret ....

Thirty minutes after the Azzura plane took off, the girl continued to look out the window.

Until it was touched by someone. Just the touch made him shocked and then spontaneously turned his head. He smiled when he knew who was stroking his fingers.

A little girl sitting next to her chair. Azzura clasped her tiny fingers and stroked her head fondly.

"May aunt know what her name is?" asked Zu in a soft voice.

"Zayyana Amara, Auntie," replied the girl timidly.

Azzura again commented on the smile of feeling anxious with the boy. "Your name is great. Aunty just call Ayya yes," Zu said and replied with a nod of the boy's head.

The two continued to talk like friends. Even the occasional sound of Ayya giggling because Azzura made a joke.

Although his heart was still mourned, Azzura felt a little comforted and forgot for a moment his sadness with the presence of Ayya who had accidentally provoked him to chat and joke with each other.

From the side of the chair next to the seat of the two, the grandmother and father Ayya could only smile at the familiarity of the two.

Kheil Family Mansion ...

Close, who had been staying overnight at the mansion, seemed to occasionally grimace in pain all over his body. Even his face looks smashed.

In order to avoid questions from her momy and daddy, she reluctantly shows herself. Even last night when he came home in the mansion he went straight to his room.

When he got out of his room, he immediately thought of his wife. With a bitter feeling he accelerated his pace towards the parking lot of the mansion.

His goal is to go straight to his wife's house. After leaving the mansion he glanced at the watch on his wrist.

"It's almost six in the afternoon. Then I slept long enough. Thank goodness momy and daddy haven't come home yet" she said.

Along the way to Azzura's house, suddenly his feelings were immediately unpleasant and bitter.

Upon his arrival at his wife's residence, Close sighed when he found Azzura's motorbike parked next to his car.

He got out of his car and accelerated to the door. He knocked on the door and turned the door.

Because there was no answer, Close was getting louder knocking on the door, but still there was no answer even the door nobody opened.

"Dn ... Azzura!! Please open the door," he called as he continued to knock on the door.

Not long after, Azzura's neighbors reprimanded him.

"Mas, Azzura wasn't in the house" said his neighbor.

Close looked to the side in astonishment.

"But the bike is there, Ma'am," said Close.

"Yes, but Azzura seems to be coming home. You see, I saw her carrying a suitcase" explained the woman again.

"Back home?" close and seemed to think. "If you may know where the village is?"

"If not wrong in area B, Mas. More precisely her mother's village," explained the woman again.

Close just nodded and thanked me. After that he said goodbye and went back to his car.

Close rubbed his face rough and again had to feel disappointed because his wife's phone was not active. Inevitably he returned to continue his journey to his residence.

Upon his arrival at his residence it began to darken, he immediately approached the door and pressed the password of the door.

Shortly after being inside the house, he sighed violently because when he saw the fragments of the flower urn were still scattered on the tile floor.

He carefully stepped and pressed the light switch to illuminate the room until he reached his room.

Again he was so upset and a little angry, when he found his bed was still a mess without being tidied up by Laura.

Feeling that his mind was still raging, he headed straight for the balcony of the room. Take out the cigarette, burn it and take a deep sip.

"Did he tell you, momy and daddy if he came home?" ask him to himself.

After finishing a cigarette, Close returned to the room and wanted to continue his steps towards the ground floor. But the tail of his eyes was accidentally fixed on his nightstand.

Instantly his steps came to a halt and were glued to the spot. His heart was pumped twice as fast as it stared at the sheet he had so memorized.

He approached the nightstand and further caught her by a catapult when he found Azzura's wedding ring lying on the paper along with the car keys and a neatly folded letter.

With trembling hands and teary eyes he grabbed the divorce papers and scrutinized them closely until he arrived at the right side of the place where Azzura signed his signature.

"Azzura ..." she cried, squeezed the divorce papers and grabbed Azzura's wedding ring and held it tightly.

He sat down at the side of the bed, sobbing with regret. He recalled his words six months ago when, confidently, he showed Azzura the divorce agreement.

"Unless you are tired and give up, sign this divorce agreement and we are officially divorced. Write the nominal money you want in this blank check after that .. get out of my house and use that money to meet your needs. Because I'm going to marry Laura and live with her here."

Recalling that remark, his cries grew even more broken and felt even more regret and guilt deepening.

Even the spate of violence he often committed on the girl now filled his mind. He looked up and grabbed a check and a car key that Azzura never operated.

staring at the check that Azzura did not fill even still looked empty. His eyebrows clutched as he stared at the remaining letter. He put the ring and car keys on the nightstand and grabbed the letter.

His hands were shaking more and more and more as he slowly opened the letter and read the contents.

Dear Close ...

If you read this letter, it means that I am not here and have even left this city as far as possible.

Thank you for ever stopping in my heart and ever loving me for even a moment. Unfortunately, when we are united in marriage, we become two strangers.

I have forgiven all your mistakes and deeds even though they left a deep trauma.

My only hope is one, be a good man and rearrange yourself to be more useful. Forgive all my mistakes if I ever leave a wound in your heart.

We are two people who met accidentally and separated without saying goodbye. Let our memories be between there and not even our stories like worn out diaries with crumpled sheets.

Let's close forever with a smile.

*Azzura Zahra*

Close was only able to cry out lamenting his deep regret after reading the letter.

"Azzura, I beg you to come back" he said, accompanied by sobs and tears that seemed to be unable to stop flowing.
