The Crack of a Glass

The Crack of a Glass
Bonchap 1

In one of the artificial lakes found in the city of A, since then Rissa is still at home in that place. There was a thin smile engraved on the pretty face of that hazel-mannered blaster girl.

Looking at the lake water that looks a little bumpy due to the exposure of the wind that blows medium.

Feeling now his heart that began to blend with the open nature, began to dare to interact with others even though the fear was still in him.

Adversity and trauma that he experienced over the past few years, now slowly began to be overcome thanks to the psychologist who is still faithful to accompany him to this day.

Two years have passed, many things and valuable lessons he learned from Yoga. While accompanying him not a bit of the man complained but was so patient with himself that sometimes still behaved unstable.

After undergoing treatment for one year in the mental hospital where Yoga works, he has now started to be able to move as usual.

Had stopped teaching as a young lecturer at one of the top universities in the city of A. Now it has been almost a year that he returned to actively teaching at the campus where he taught before, as a lecturer of English literature.

One year ago ...

After Yoga returned from the city of M, he returned to his role as a psychologist who handled Clarissa.

The next day, Yoga returned to Clarissa's room. Unlike before, the girl now looks more fresh and tidy.

Tok ... tok ...

Hearing the sound of knocking on the door, Clarissa slowly turned her body and approached the door and opened it.

"Yoga," he said softly.

"Rissa" said Yoga with a smile while carrying two cups of still warm capuccino coffee. "This is for you .. capuccino coffee. Enjoy it while it's warm," he bargained and then thrust the cup at Rissa. "Said my friend, if enjoyed while warm must be delicious. But if it's cold then the pleasure will feel bland."

"Thank you" said Rissa and grabbed the coffee cup.

For a moment both of them flinch and both set their eyes towards the window of the room.

Both sipped the warm coffee in silence. Before finally Yoga took her up to the hospital rooftop to be able to enjoy the beauty of the morning sun as well as being able to breathe fresh air outdoors.

"Rissa, if you don't mind if we can just chat outside the room? More precisely in the hospital rooftop," proposed Yoga.

"Hm ..." The girl just cleared her throat while nodding slowly.

"Come .. Come with me," take Yoga and first step towards the door and then followed by Rissa.

Shortly after being on top of the rooftop, the girl immediately breathed in fresh air, reviewed the smile, turned her face to the sunlight and closed her eyes.

"Thank God .. he can smile even though thin. At least he's willing to talk even though he looks scared." Inner yoga.

A few minutes later, the two sat side by side on one of the benches on the rooftop.

"Sorry, are you feeling better now? And how were your days yesterday? I hope you're okay" Genta said.

"Yes, I'm fine, thank you," said Rissa.

Silence was created between the two. Before Yoga finally glanced at him and said, "Are you ready for psychotherapy?"

"Yes" answered Rissa briefly.

"But if you feel uncomfortable, we can continue tomorrow" Yoga said.

"I'm fully prepared. I don't want to be stuck with that dark thing anymore. I want to live a normal life again and go back to my usual activities" said Rissa then gulped her coffee.

"What?!" tanya Yoga wants to make sure.

"Yes," said Rissa softly accompanied by a breath.

"Alright, we start psychotherapy in an hour. Whatever is on your mind, say it all. Don't be shy or uncomfortable" Genta said.

An hour passed ...

As they had agreed, Rissa was already in the Yoga room. The two sat facing each other.

"Rissa, if you feel unable to continue your story later, don't go on. We can continue tomorrow again" Yoga message.

Rissa replied with just a nod of her head.

"Bismillah .. we start now. Tell me what really happened to you, to make yourself slumped in such a way?" serami Yoga.

For a moment, Rissa flinched while adjusting her breathing first. He then held his chest that instantly tightened.

"Rissa, assume that what is in front of you right now is your sister and best friend" whispered Yoga.

"Yoga .." he said in a trembling voice. "Initially my life was mediocre like any other normal girl. Undergoing activities as a lecturer and without awkward mingling with my students on campus."

"Then ...?!" continue Yoga while looking at the girl who is now lowering her face.

Sweat began to pour on the girl's face with her body now shaking.

"Rissa, it doesn't look like you're okay. We'd better go on tomorrow," suggested Yoga because he didn't want to force.

Especially seeing his condition now. Instantly he remembered Azzura with the same condition experienced by Rissa.

"No. I want to reveal everything today. I've had enough of it for the last two years" he said.

Yoga nodded then gave her a bottle of water to calm her down for a moment. "Drink first and then calm yourself and your feelings for a moment."

Rissa took the bottle of mineral water and gulped it down to leave half. After taking a sip of that mineral water, Rissa resumed her story.

"The way of campus reunion is running smoothly and solemnly. Of course we are very happy to be at the reunion event. After a few years, we could meet up again with friends in the same department, including my ex."

"And what happened next . I never expected it. After the reunion was held, we began to disperse. On my way home, my car was intercepted by some people."

"I was forced out of my vehicle at the time. I was reluctant and still stayed in the car. I even automatically locked the car door so that it could not be opened from the outside. After that, I kept stepping on the gas to advance my car but was again intercepted by a car that suddenly appeared in front of my car."

"I didn't recognize them at first because they were wearing masks. I was trying to be calm and then trying to call daddy. Because of panic my phone fell. Then I wanted to get him back. But my car's glass was hit with a hard object that broke."

Rissa started sobbing pausing her sentence while closing her eyes with a trembling body accompanied by sweat that was now increasingly pouring on her face.

"Then ...?" tanya Yoga with thin wrinkles frowned.

"The door of my car opened and one of them pulled me and took me to his car. As much as possible I resisted and thrashed for help but my mouth was smothered. That night they kidnapped me and took me somewhere I didn't know."

Yoga shook, taking a deep breath to fill the oxygen supply into his lungs.

"I was held captive in a dark room and made me instantly feel an overwhelming fear."

Rissa's cry instantly broke out filling the Yoga room. He clenched his hands together as if to avenge the actions of the kidnappers.

"Yoga .. I was held in that dark room for five days. They are depraved men and do not deserve to be called humans but animals. They forced me to take turns while I was in captivity."

"I kept begging while crying so they wouldn't do that depraved deed to me again. But they don't seem to care and just keep turning me around."

"Until the time that help came, I didn't remember anything. All I know from my parents is that I was in a coma for a week. When I came to my senses from the coma, I was immediately hysterical because the image of the depraved act was immediately reflected and filled my mind."

"Then the culprit?" Yoga is like an emotion. Both of his hands were clenched until his knuckles turned white.

He thought, how depraved the actions of the man who traumatized the girl to make her mentally ill.

"There are three people. They have been arrested and are still in prison. After my parents made a report the day after I was kidnapped. I can't imagine how momy and daddy felt and worried. Especially when I look at my condition when it's found so terrible."

"What makes me not end up thinking is the figure of the culprit. He's my ex-boyfriend and his friends. The motive, because he's still vengeful and doesn't accept I cut off our relationship."

"Clarissa Saraswati Imanuel .. I'm sorry if I force you to recall the heartbreaking incident" said Yoga with teary eyes, squatting and holding the two fingers of the crossbred girl.

Yoga seemed to run out of words after hearing all the words from the girl. He feels guilty. But on the other hand, he must know so that he can provide guidance and solutions. To restore the girl's mentality back to normal and forget the trauma of the heartbreaking incident.

"Yoga .. only one hope after my mental recovery and forget about the incident. I just want to live a quiet life without a companion except with my master's two people. I want to refocus on teaching on campus."

*********

Puk .. puk .. puk ....

His long daydream instantly froth because his shoulder was patted by someone. He wiped his eyes and slowly twisted his body.

"Yoga .." he said. "When were you there?"

"Since. Since you look daydreaming and occasionally wiping away tears," explained Yoga then standing next to him. "What's bothering you right now? Are you all right?" cecar Yoga with eyebrows that interlock.

There was no answer but the girl just nodded. Closing his eyes while breathing deep air.

Yoga glanced at him, staring in silence. He remembered Azzura at the time. Not directly answering but flinching while closing your eyes.

"That's it. .. why does this girl always remember me to Azzura" murmured yoga in her heart.

A second later he directed his gaze towards the lake water.

"Yoga ..thank you for being my psychologist for a year in that mental hospital" he said and looked at her.

"That's my duty as a psychologist" he said with a smile and returned the gaze of the hazel girl's eyes.
