The Court of the Girl

The Court of the Girl
Episode 4

Hearing Juliette's arrival, the smile on Xeldous's face froze instantly.

Xeldous's father looked at him with a dissatisfied look. "What are you afraid of? This time you won."

Xeldous clenched the cutlery in his hand tightly and forced a smile. "Yes, dad."

Xeldous's father greeted Juliette with joy. "Julie, you haven't visited our house in a long time. Let's sit down and join us for dinner."

Juliette politely declined with a smile, hinting with her hand. "No need, Uncle. I had dinner at home. Dad asked me to come give you this document. This is a budget review form for the project."

Xeldous's father smiled sincerely. "Thank you for bringing it, Julie."

Juliette shook her head. "No problem, Uncle. Not far from where I live."

After Xeldous's father took the map, he unwittingly opened it and began to review its contents.

However, his movements came to a halt and his expression slowly became gloomy as he turned his head and glanced at Xeldous.

Juliette's eyes sparkled as if comforted as she placed the golf bag she carried on her shoulder onto the table. "Uncle, your birthday is coming soon, isn't it? This is the birthday gift I prepared for you. I heard from Dad that you really like to play golf, so I've prepared it specifically for Uncle I hope it will be useful for you."

Hearing this, Xeldous's father's face grew increasingly displeased, no longer able to hide it. His view of Juliette became grim.

Damn girl!

He's like his father, just as disgusting!

However, his position and circumstances did not allow him to lose face. He struggled to force a smile. "Julie, you're so nice. On your birthday, I'll give you a present, too."

Juliette smiled and replied, "It's okay, Uncle. I'll go home first, let's not interrupt your dinner."

Xeldous's mother accompanied Juliette to the door, and they conversed politely but remained distant.

After a few steps of walking, Juliette suddenly said, "Sorry, I seem to have forgotten something in your house."

Hearing that, Xeldous's mother smiled and led Juliette back. As they walked into the house, they witnessed a violent scene taking place inside.

Shocked, Juliette exclaimed in the heart, and Xeldous tried to turn his head and look.

It was Xeldous and Juliette's mother. Juliette, who had just said goodbye for a while earlier, suddenly turned back.

Xeldous's father, with no intention of hiding anything, stopped the abusive treatment he had done to Xeldous and explained, "This child has just made a mistake and needs proper discipline."

Hearing this, Juliette slowly relaxed her eyebrows and eyes. "Yes, when someone makes a mistake, they definitely need to accept punishment. My father disciplined me the same way. I'm sorry, Uncle. It looks like I put my report card in the docket when I came, and I just remembered after leaving."

Xeldous's father put on an expression of not knowing anything. "really?"

After saying so, he took the map from the dining table and casually flipped through it, finding Juliette's report card. He snidely laughed and said, "There's here."

Juliette accepted it and nodded politely. "Then I'll leave soon, Uncle."

Xeldous's father did not mince words anymore and briefly replied "alright".

Juliette turned around and left, slowing her pace as she crossed the entrance hallway. He turned his head towards Xeldous, who was kneeling on the ground, and their eyes met. His eyes were smiling, innocent, naive, yet cruel.

Xeldous glared at Juliette hatefully, hoping that she could tear her apart and stick her teeth into her flesh, making her bleed profusely.

He did it intentionally, without hesitation!

His methods were crude and evil, but his father was indeed the type of person who easily ignited emotions.

He even sends a golf club, knowing that his father will beat him, giving his father the tools he desperately needs.

He had never met such a cruel and vile person as Juliette.

After returning from Xeldous's house, Juliette resumes her spelling sentence. She had to lay her eggs all night while her father and mother rested, assigning a servant to look after her through monitoring.

He had already laid down for quite a while, his knees were numb and his blood flow was obstructed due to the rough stones beneath.

Just by thinking of Xeldous's father's ruthless appearance, Juliette's lips curved slightly upwards. Her pretty face was hidden in a dim shadow, giving anyone goosebumps.

The golf club that Xeldous's father used must have been very convenient for him, since the stick had been specially made by him.

The density is higher than that of a regular golf club, ensuring that the punches are more painful.

Training a dog, one must always give punishment for the dog to remember.

The next day, the,

The three members of the Juliette family were eating, while a servant lay down beside her, gently applying medicine to reduce the swelling and bruising on her knee.

After laying all night, the red mark on his knees turned dark purple, creating a frightening sight.

After carefully applying the medicine, the waiter put Juliette in knee-high gray stockings, hiding evidence of the injuries.

After tidying up, Juliette stood up and said to mom and dad, "Dad, Mom, I'm going to go to school."

Juliette's father put down his spoon and asked gently, "Julie, how are your legs? Does it still hurt?"

Juliette replied honestly, "It hurts." Juliette's father looked serious and spoke sincerely, "Sick is good, this is a sense of second rank, it should be embedded in your bones."

Hearing this, Juliette showed no signs of resentment; instead, she was extremely obedient. "I understand, Dad. I'll work hard."

Juliette's father nodded, "Go."

The driver had the car ready, parked right at the main door, and Juliette got into the car.

The driver, wearing white gloves and hands on the steering wheel, turned to Juliette before turning on the car, softly speaking, "Miss, I've placed the blanket on the right, I've put it on the right, and there's strawberry milk in the fridge for you."

Juliette forced a faint smile and thanked him, "Thank you, Mr. Benny."

Driver Benny smiled kindly, "Sama-sama, Miss. This is my job."

Seeing Juliette's not-so-shabby mood, she also felt happier. He started the car smoothly and left the villa.

In hopes of starting classes at 9am at school, Jordan leaves at exactly 7:30am. Their home is not far from Harapan High School, but it will take about fifty minutes by bus for the entire trip.

The bus stop was quite far away, so he had to climb hill by hill, then turn twice before reaching the bus stop.

When Jordan got on the bus, there was almost no one in it. Instead of sitting down, she walked to the back of the bus, held onto a handrail, and pulled out her phone to glance at it for a moment. At exactly eight, he breathed a sigh of relief.

The bus moved smoothly, although it stopped frequently at every stop, slowing its speed, but as it turned at the intersection, a black sedan slowly approached from the right side.

Jordan tightened his grip on the handrail and lowered his gaze, looking out through the bus window.

This luxury private car that adjoins the bus apparently belongs to the Juliette family. The young girl sat in it, with her head bowed.

A gentle breeze hit her strung hair, and she wore a blanket that covered her knees.

On it lay a book, while in his hand, he held a strawberry milk box with a straw. Her lips were moist and pink, resembling a newly blooming rose.

Through the window, Jordan looked at Juliette attentively.

This was one of the rare occasions for him to look at her. As long as he left just at this time, he would meet with Juliette almost every morning. He could always observe her like this through the window of the bus, from above.

However, he never looked up, and he would never know that the Jordan was watching him like this.

Jordan had been in the same class as Juliette for two years, but they had never spoken to each other.

She knows a lot about Juliette. He often drank this brand of strawberry milk, it could even be said that he liked it very much.

Private cars and buses run parallel for a while. When the bus reaches the red light, it has to stop to drop off passengers, but private cars do not need to stop. His silhouette grew smaller and slowly disappeared into the flow of the car.

At times like this, the mood of Jordan is actually being good. It doesn't matter that he leaves everything now, because the most important thing is to achieve the goal, it's just a matter of time difference.
