Bekasi, Juliette's Family
Juliette sat on the sofa, her eyes almost closed exhausted, almost asleep. Suddenly, his phone rang, making him jerk awake.
He reached out and picked up the phone, a short message from an unknown number appeared on the screen, saying: "[Juliette, accompany me on the bus tomorrow morning, one hour, please, meet at the bus stop of the U. S. Building]."
The message was from Jordan.
With a slender fingertip, he tapped lightly on the screen and replied, "OK."
Next day
Juliette draped her backpack over her shoulder and stepped lazily down.
Driver Benny had already prepared the car and was waiting at the front gate of the villa. Juliette sends location, US Building bus stop.
Juliette sat on the back bench, and Benny turned his head carefully to ask, "Miss, is this your goal?"
Juliette answered gently "Hmm," and said, "Sir Benny, you can go home after dropping me off."
She smiled briefly at Juliette, respectfully saying, "Alright, Miss, I understand."
Turning his head back, he opened the navigation system and put in a U. S. Building bus stop, then turned on the car.
Benny was not very familiar with this route, so he drove a little slower. Almost eight o'clock when they reached the bus stop of the U. S. Building.
Juliette sat in the car and looked out the window at the bus stop sign, but there was no sign of Jordan.
Jordan hasn't arrived yet, he's arrived early.
Benny placed his hand on the steering wheel, slightly turned his head, and respectfully said to Juliette, "Miss, this is where you got off."
He remained polite, not saying any unnecessary words.
Juliette replied gently "Well", she taped the backpack to her shoulder, and opened the car door as it went down.
Driver Benny revives the car, the silhouette slowly becomes smaller and blends in with the traffic.
A moment ago, with the AC flowing in the car, Juliette did not feel tired.
Now, after getting out of the car and sitting on the bench in front of the bus stop, the sunlight radiated at him, slowly making him feel tired.
He felt sleepy, his head slightly leaning against the bus stop sign. Bending his body backwards, he slowly closed his eyes.
His thick and curly eyelashes formed a small shadow on his cheeks, as if he was about to fall asleep.
This bus stop was built on an uphill road. Jordan ran all the way and when he reached the top of the uphill road, he saw Juliette's head leaning against the sign of the bus stop, as if sleeping.
He subconsciously heaved a sigh of relief, thank goodness he was still there.
Jordan held two boxes of strawberry milk in his hands, droplets of dew from the cold air clinging to the outer packaging.
He's late for going to buy strawberry milk. The grocery store near their home did not have the stock of this brand, so he had to run to another store far away.
He stood on the spot, looking from a distance towards Juliette until his breathing was no longer heavy. He slowly approached the girl.
As she got closer, she noticed that Juliette was indeed asleep.
Jordan stood in front of him, bowed, and lightly touched his cheek with cold strawberry milk. Juliette was shocked when the cold touched her, slowly opening her eyes.
Gently, he removed the cold droplets from his cheeks with his hands, his expression calm. He raised his hand to check the time on his wrist watch - it was already eight ten. "You're late" he said.
Jordan faintly replied, "Yes, I'm late. I'm sorry."
Juliette stood up, looked at him, her voice calm. "I don't have a bus card."
Jordan had predicted that Juliette did not have a bus card. He grabs his pants pocket and pulls out the bus card, giving it to Juliette. "This is for you."
Then, he thrust a straw into the strawberry milk in his hand and thrust it at Juliette. "Drink."
Juliette accepted without saying a word of thanks, drinking it softly on her lips. He turned his body to the side and glanced in which direction the bus would arrive.
Standing next to him, Jordan also held a strawberry milk box, drinking it while looking down at the shadow of two people twisting on the ground. A faint, almost invisible smile, flashed across his lips.
As the bus they were supposed to board approached slowly, Juliette handed Jordan an empty strawberry milk box. He naturally accepted it, along with the one he had spent, and threw the two into the trash beside the bus stop.
Juliette walked to the back of the bus, found a two-person seat and sat next to the window. Jordan followed him after scanning his cards and sat down next to him.
Next to each other, both remained silent. Juliette broke the silence by asking Jordan, "May I take a nap?"
She didn't sleep at all last night, and now, sitting in the bus swinging around, Juliette's eyelids started to feel heavy.
Jordan's face looked softer, showing a rare gentleness. He's nodding. "You can sleep now, school is our final destination. I'll wake you when we get there."
Juliette brought her head to the window, slowly closed her eyes, and finally seemed to be asleep in deep sleep.
At first, Jordan looked at the ground under his feet. But just as he felt that the person beside him was completely asleep, he turned his head to look at Juliette's face.
Outside the window, the sunlight grew brighter, shoving on the young girl's face. It seemed to bother him, making him slightly wrinkled, and his eyelashes trembled.
Jordan raised his hand, adjusting its angle to protect it from the sun.
Indeed, delicate flowers like Juliette are better suited sitting in an expensive, protected and well-maintained private car. The current circumstances highlighted the difference between her and Juliette.
The bus moved slowly, turning at an intersection, when the black luxury car stopped on the right side.
The backseat of the luxury car was spacious, and Awke sat there with his legs slightly folded, bent, one elbow leaning against his thigh, rolling Instagram.
On screen\, the account name Juliette\, @Jul_et_tt\, is displayed.
Awke's thoughts recalled the scene in the old residence, where Xeldous and Juliette were standing under a red maple tree.
He scrunched his forehead tightly, furiously hitting his phone to the side. The phone hit a soft leather seat and then rolled onto a clean carpet.
The driver in the driver's seat grew more cautious, not daring to breathe, as there was a red light ahead. He slowly stepped on the brakes, bringing the vehicle to a slow stop.
Awke's gaze grew darker, and he turned his face to look out the window. Almost by chance, he saw the girl on the bus next to the black luxury car.
His eyes were closed, his profile pale, and there was a boy sitting beside him, raising his hands to protect him from the sunlight.
Awke was very familiar with the expression in the boy's eyes - it was a sense of longing, desire, and ambition.
He stared at the two people on the bus through the car window for a long time, his aura becoming increasingly dark, as if struggling to control his emotions.
The more he looked, the more familiar the boy's facial features were to him, as if he had seen them somewhere, the sensation of deja vu.
The bus swayed slowly, making it difficult to sleep. Juliette slowly opened her eyes and looked at Jordan who was supporting the sunlight for her.
When Jordan saw that he was awake, he pulled his hand.
Juliette turned her head and glanced out the window of the bus. Next to the bus was a black luxury car with window film, making it difficult to see inside clearly.
However, Juliette knew the car belonged to the Sitanggang Family.
At this moment, except Awke, there was no one else on the bus.
A faint smile appeared in his eyes as if he made eye contact with Awke who was sitting on the back bench of a luxury car through the window. He sighed softly, saying, "Everything went smoothly."
Sitting in the back row, Awke knew that it was impossible to look inside the car from the outside, but he always felt that Juliette knew that she was sitting inside and smiling at him.
The speed of a private car is faster than a bus. His silhouette slowly became smaller and fused with the traffic. Although the bus slowed down a bit, it would eventually reach its destination.
After getting off the bus, Jordan and Juliette walked together to reach the main gate of Harapan High School which was filled with luxury cars.
Jordan stopped and turned to Juliette, saying slowly, "Juliette, accompany me to the library tonight for five hours."
Juliette nodded and let out an indifferent voice, obediently accepting it as if it were a natural thing. However, Jordan clearly knew that it was only a charade, but he was willing to dissolve in this illusory togetherness for a moment.
Juliette looked at him and asked, "We want to go in together?"
Jordan shook his head, "We entered separately."
They went to school, one after the other. Juliette enters the classroom first, while Jordan arrives later.
She is a worm living in the dark mud, fully aware that in front of others, she does not deserve to be looked at in the sun alongside a tender flower like Juliette.
He will be unfairly criticized and judged.
