The Charm of the Director

The Charm of the Director
Dark Clouds

Dean knew it would be like this in the end. From waking up to going to the set, he had heard the news about last night. At first he wanted to know what they were talking about, but in the end he was not interested. Repeatedly getting scandalized, only this time he did not feel burdened. He no longer cared about the rumors that hit him. He did not need to give any explanation to Jessy because the woman was already playing with a man behind her.

When he remembered Jessy, he had not been in contact with her for a few days. He wants to focus even though many temptations are coming. If Jessy was a woman and a good wife, she should have found a way to contact him. But not this time. He can do the same. Given Jessy, it's the same as ruining her mood.

Filming this time he did it near the beach. He deliberately made small huts for the resting place of the actor and himself. The sound of the waves. He stared at the set being prepared. He only had half an hour until everyone could return.

"Dean, the media said that you were in contact with Shane because of his father's interference in this film" Rossy said in a hurry. He looked at her in anger. How could he be preceded by that woman?

"Other than they say?"

"You should see for yourself. The photos of you two are widespread on social media and all electronic and print media. You know, because this photo will have an effect on our movie. You can't be selfish, Dean. Think of a crew that's been tired of following the way you've been working lately!" rossy exclaimed with teary eyes.

"For now, I don't care about anything. Let the scandal run. Everything will stop without us knowing. After all, the scandal of a new movie is natural." replied Dean calmly.

"Why don't you understand how I feel?" asked Rossy without holding back. He shed tears.

Dean turned. "How feeling?"

"I love you, Dean. I came back because I wanted to be close to you. I even close my eyes if you're married. But why that model?"

"From the beginning I said. Never expect the development of our relationship. I consider you just as a friend and a work partner. Not more. You're just my manager, and I'm spending my money to pay you. You have to remember that."

Crying, Rossy leaves Dean.

Dean was silent as he stared at the roll of the waves. He looked up, the dark clouds were back. He thought it would rain. He looked back ahead.

"Dean.." call someone.

Dean turned. A crew looks worried. "What's wrong?"

"It looks like it's going to rain. I looked at the weather forecast, feared a storm might arise. Looks like we'll have to rewind a few hours until the storm stops" he said.

Dean stands. "alright. I'll wait in the dugout to rest. Don't let anyone bother me."

The man nodded.

He entered a place that was deliberately made by the crew for his place to rest. He sat facing the beach. The storm will begin. He looked at her seriously. If this storm lasted a long time, he would not be able to start filming today.

...***...

Jessy got off the taxi when she reached Dean's set. He looked at the paper in his hand. The location was the same as the picture Joan had given her. The rain began to fall, although not too big. The beach wind touched his face. He looked down while running small. When he arrived at the set, he saw the crew preparing to rest.

He approached a crew.

"Where can I meet Dean?"

"There's on Gubug number 2" he said.

"Is there no filming today?"

"Be put back until this storm passes" he said kindly.

Jessy nodded. He left the crew and walked over to the hut that was said by one of the crew.

When he got to the front door, his heart was pounding. He knocked on the door long enough. He'll wait until Dean opens the door. The beach wind began to grow. He fixed the cardigan and held his hand. He came back knocking on the door.

Jessy looked around the room. The tile made from the tent cloth looks fun. There's not much available in it. He sat in a wooden chair, though Dean was not asked to sit down. Dean looks really cold.

"How are you, Dean?" tanyakanya.

"What are you doing here?" dean asked without even looking at him.

"I miss you, Dean. I want us to talk."

"Nothing we should talk about. Everything clear. From the beginning I asked you to stay away from the man, but you didn't listen to me. You betrayed you for going with that man."

"I'm with Jose not having any relationship. We're just friends. Not more."

"Then should the friendship be done by hugging each other?" asked Dean in anger.

"Dean, I just arrived a few hours ago. Is there no welcome for me?" ask Jessy a little drowning.

"Don't turn the conversation. I want to ask you, does your friendship have to be accompanied by a hug?"

Jessy shook her head. His heart was broken from being accused like that. "That's not true, Dean. If you're talking about that hug, it's just a goodbye hug between friends. Not more. Please believe me this time."

"Repeatedly I believed in women, in the end I was fooled. I don't trust you anymore. Go then! I don't want to see your face anymore!" dean said as he turned around and looked at her sharply.

Jessy backed down while holding her stomach. "Oh my.." whispered subtly.

"Alright if you don't believe me. How is it different from the news that has been spread? What's your relationship with that woman?" ask Jessy loudly.

"He's just my friend." he exclaimed.

"What's different about Jose? Jose is just more polite than your friend! No friend kisses his friend's lips!" jessy was upset. Breath hunting. He's angry at the moment.

"Shut up!"

Jessy approached Dean. He tried to give up for the baby he was carrying. "Dean, please don't stay away from me. I can't afford to part with you. Don't you love me? Trust me!" said it.

Dean let Jessy hug him. But it wasn't long. Dean let go of his hand and moved away. "I'm asking you to go!" said angry.

There is no self-respect in Jessy. He doesn't care about that. If Dean saw a change in him, would he turn around by not hating him? He started to take off his dress and left only his underwear. "Look at me, Dean"

Dean turned to look at him. "You're disgusting! What a difference do you have with the women vending*** by doing that" he said sharply.

Jessy's heart was deeply cut. He nodded while holding his stomach. "Darling.." whispered subtly. He was back in his dress. "I don't want you to regret it, Dean.."

"I won't regret it! I'll keep telling the whole world that you're disgusting! No one will like you!" said angry.

Jessy backed off and ran out. He must be strong for the child he is carrying. He didn't care about the staff and crew. His pride had fallen and he would not be able to rise again.

He continued to run without purpose.

"I'll be strong for this baby. Don't expect you to meet my son, Dean" he said, shouting. He kept running until his legs were limp. He walked over and unknowingly his tears were dripping down profusely. He was crying non-stop. His heart was so sick and it had been slashed so deeply. Dean not only rejected him, but he insulted him. He continued to walk through the rain that was interconnected without caring how far he had gone. The road is deserted. Perhaps it was because the storm was in progress, so no one dared to pass through it.

Suddenly his body was lifted very hard up and fell hard on a car hood. His body rolled onto the asphalt filled with rainwater. He just wanted to ask one thing. Is he going to die now?
