The Charm of the Director

The Charm of the Director
A little time

Jessy woke up when it was almost noon. He realized one thing. Dean was no longer by his side. He woke up from his sleep wearing his pajamas first.

"Dean.." call him when he's wearing clothes. He opened the door and looked out. Slender. There was no sign of Dean in the apartment.

Jessy stepped onto the long white sofa in the middle of the room. He sat up and raised both his legs. His long hair he let loose. He holds his face. The relationship with Dean is not in good shape. Sure oes. All because he was jealous of Jose. Even when Jose didn't do anything to her, Dean loudly pointed out that he was jealous.

Jessy took the phone. He started calling Dean. His umpteenth ringtone he just answered.

"What's wrong?"

Jessy was stuck with Dean's answer. "Am I bothering you?"

"Speak. I have to meet someone soon" Dean said.

"Call me when you're done. I'm waiting for you." Jessy hung up the phone and fell silent.

For a long time he felt bad. He was resistant but difficult. He held his stomach because he felt like there was something he was going to take out. He ran quickly to the sink. Only acidic liquid was coming out of his stomach. Since last night he has eaten nothing. He looked in the mirror in front of him. His face was much paler than yesterday. He held the sink with both hands. The flu still haunts him, he thought.

He returned to his room and laid his body back. In his head, he was just thinking about Dean's attitude. If they hadn't met at Harris's office, would he still not have told her of her return? Until when?. He began to imagine something that was not. He'd better go back to Nevada if Dean still stays cool to him. Why did he get married and yet their relationship was as cold as it is now? Ever since last night he's been relenting so Dean doesn't get mad at him. He wouldn't stand it if Dean treated him like this. He raised his hand above his head and closed his eyes. He hoped all this was just a dream. During the marriage, Dean was like this this this time. He started thinking back. Is this Dean's true nature? Will he throw it away by making his jealousy an excuse? But according to him, Dean couldn't be like that. To this day, he still believes in her.

"Something happened between you?" ask Rossy who was behind him. There's a feeling of pleasure. He didn't have to bother doing anything so Dean could part with Jessy.

Dean looked back. He shook his head. " Nothing" he said as he walked.

Rossy followed. "Then why is your tone like that? Do I have a chance?" goda.

"What opportunity? Don't talk shit. It's just a personal matter of a couple. It's only natural that I'm mad at Jessy because she made a mistake. But don't you think I'll leave Jessy just because of this! Don't dream of being Jessy's replacement. It will never!"

Rossy sighed. He looked at Dean who had turned into the meeting room. "Yes, it will and will not be long. You just wait, Dean.." he said.

Dean walked into a room where Harris and some men were already there.

"I'm sorry I'm late" he said

The man who had saved thirty percent of the investment in Harris' company looked at him. He smiled briefly.

"Shane really likes you. She was even determined to become an actress because of your incredible charm."

Dean was awkward and didn't like this conversation. He smiled forcefully. "I'm just an ordinary guy with a profession as a director. I'm not someone who can influence someone including your daughter."

"But reality is different. He repeatedly says he likes you. I saved that big investment because of Shane. He asked me directly to believe that the movie you're making will be a huge success."

Dean tapped his fingers on the table. He felt uncomfortable in this situation. He looked at Harris who raised both eyebrows. He asked Harris to do something just by signal.

"Mrs. Daniel.this is a statement we have made about the ownership status of the company. You can see it." said Harris.

Dean frowned. Possession?

"What do you mean possession?"

Harris gave her a copy of the letter. He read. The man in front of him is now one of the shareholders of Sixty Management and Sixty Production where he is the artist. Thirty-five percent of the shares had already been bought by the man.

"I need an explanation." whispered Dean.

Harris smiled. "Of course.."

Suddenly the door opened tightly. Rossy came in a hurry.

"There's bad news!" he said with a pale face.

"There was a big demo in Greece about the monetary crisis. We are only given until tomorrow to continue filming. Santorini is safe. I've been telling some of the crew and artist management to get them off the ground immediately" Rossy said in a panic. His face looks pale.

Dean stood up in annoyance. "What else is this!"

Harris covered his face with both hands. If this shoot doesn't go according to plan, he's afraid the film will be delayed. He does not want his hopes for this film to fade. He looked at Dean. "We're going to Santorini tonight. We can't delay, Dean. This is all for the sake of a team that has been tired of working. We can't be selfish and selfish."

"I know." replied Dean lazily. He stood up and walked out.

Harris approached Rossy. "Is what you're telling me true?"

Rossy looked at Harris angrily. "Of course it's true! How could I possibly tell a lie that concerns the security of a country. You're crazy!" said annoyed.

...***...

Dean opened the door slowly. He returns to the apartment to inform Jessy that he must return to Greece. He was probably rude on the phone. But he did it for a reason.

He stepped into the room. Jessy was lying down. He was wearing the same clothes when he left. Is Jessy sick?

Dean walked fast. He sat next to Jessy's body lying down. He held her head and touched her cheek. A little warm like never before. He then lowered his head to kiss her forehead. Both eyes were open, but he smiled. Jessy hugged him.

"I'm sorry. I was unconsciously rude to you." whispered Dean.

Jessy shook her head. "I was wrong to bother you."

Dean releases Jessy's embrace. He holds both his shoulders. "You sick?"

Jessy shook her head. "Maybe a girl like me is sick. I just have a regular headache." he said lying.

"Tonight I have to go back to Greece. You have to take care of your health." Dean said.

Jessy frowned. He came without knowing and went home without expecting it. Dean was playing him. "Are you not angry with me?"

Dean hesitated. He's speechless. Lying when you forget what happened.

"Jose can't be the guy who can make me fall in love. Jose's not my type. I was just friends with him. No more feelings."

Dean sighed. "It's hard to accept that guy being your friend. I'm jealous. I'm asking you, you better avoid that guy so there's nothing we don't want."

Jessy let go of her hand. "Jose's a relative of your parents' best friend, Dean."

Dean stands. "I don't want anything bad between us. You better avoid keeping our relationship good. I don't care who Jose is. I just know if he's bothering my wife and I have to be prepared for that" he said, exiting the room.

If Jessy was doing well, she might still be able to argue. But even getting down from the bed he could not. He decided to remain silent. He saw Dean start packing his clothes. He can only see it.

"I'm sorry I couldn't help you" Jessy said.

"Don't. I'm just."

When he finished, Dean approached Jessy and sat down next to her. He held Jessy's forehead back. "A lot of rest. Don't be so tired. I don't want you to get sick. This time I was in Santorini. I'll be back in a month after I finish it all. I will stay here with you more. Wait me. Time usually goes by fast."

Jessy nodded slowly. He hugged Dean back. "Never change your feelings for me, Dean" he said spoiled.

"Don't be friends with that guy anymore" Dean said.

"All right.."

Jessy could only let Dean go with a smile. He waved his hand as Dean walked out of his room. He heard the door open and close. Dean is gone. He didn't expect Dean to be back so soon. But he wanted to give something. Although actually he does not know for sure.
