Chapter 49 (New Born)

When arriving in the ER, the doctor immediately checked the condition of Melisa and her womb. Kevin came in and took his wife. While Alan looked paced back and forth in front of the door of the examination room.

"Calm yourself. Melisa's a strong girl." Sofia approached Alan and patted his shoulder gently.

"I can't calm down until I know the condition." Alan walked towards the waiting chair and sat leaning back while closing his eyes.

The doctor appeared to come out of the examination room. Alan ran over to the doctor who had just examined Melisa. Sofia quickly followed Alan

"How's my sister doing, Doc?"

"Let's come to my room." The doctor walks into her room followed by Alan and Sofia.

"Patients experiencing placental abruption. A pregnancy complication in which the placenta detaches from the uterine wall before delivery."

"What caused that to happen Doc?" Alan still could not control his panic.

"It could be because the patient is pregnant at an early age. Pregnancy in adolescence is susceptible to experiencing things like this sir. Too much bleeding, and we have to have a C-section right now."

"Do what's best for my sister." Alan said expectantly.

After the letter of approval for the operation was signed, Melisa was taken to the operating room. He felt tremendous pain when the doctor gave an anesthetic injection in his back. A few moments later Melisa felt heavy on her legs and spread her way over her stomach. After that, he felt nothing. He tries to relieve his tension by imagining a baby girl who is very cute and adorable.

Everyone waiting in front of the operating room looked extremely tense, especially Alan.

After a while, there was a loud baby cry. Kevin cried when he heard the baby cry. He still does not believe he is officially a father. This is really all like a dream.

The doctor came out of the operating room and said that Melisa's condition was stable and the baby was healthy. She gave birth to a baby girl. At that moment Alan cried sobbing and hugged Sofia tightly.

Sofia returned Alan's embrace. She was also crying happily .

Melisa is transferred to the VIP treatment room while the baby is still in the incubator.

A week passed, Melisa was allowed to go home. But not for the baby, because it still has to be monitored because of premature birth.

"Keisa Arabella." Melisa said as she looked at her baby from behind a glass wall before returning home from the hospital. "That's our baby's name. Keisa is a combination of our names. Arabella means beautiful woman. Isn't she pretty?" Melisa looked at Kevin and smiled.

"Yes, you're right, baby. She's so beautiful, like her mother." Kevin gave a kiss on the head of Melisa who was sitting in a wheelchair.

Sofia's been staying at Alan's house for a few days. He painstakingly helps Melisa pump her breast to be sent to the hospital and given to baby Keisa. Not only that, Sofia also takes care of all the needs of Melisa.

Evelyn is seen approaching Sofia who is taking drinking water in the kitchen.

"What do you want? Do you want to take my son's heart again. That's very funny. You really are a licker." Evelyn smiled cynically.

"Is that all you want to say? If yes, then I'm sorry. I'm too busy to argue with you." Sofia passed by leaving Evelyn looking very upset.

Amora who saw the incident immediately approached the mother.

"Mama, stop. You won't succeed in separating them. You're risking your relationship with Alan's brother."

"Don't interfere with mama's business. All you have to do right now is listen to the lecture right." Evelyn left with heightened emotions.

Alan came home from the company early. He wants to make sure Melisa's situation. After bathing and changing clothes, he immediately headed for Melisa's room. Sofia was there.

"How's Melisa's codition? Does he still often complain of pain in his surgical scars?" Ask Alan to Sofia.

"He's better. He just went to sleep after I gave him the medicine."

"Impressively because you've taken good care of Melisa. She'll definitely recover soon because you took care of her lovingly."

"Hm." Sofia answered briefly with a light smile.

Sofia, can we rebuild our relationship? I want to marry you."

"For what? Wouldn't it be obvious that your mother didn't give us her blessing." Sofia threw away her face. He tried to hide his sad face.

"Rethink. Melisa loves you so much. He needs you too."

"If that's your excuse, don't worry. I'll see him often."

"Not only that. Me, I love you so much. I can't lose you." Alan hugged Sofia from behind. "Married to me. Please."

"I love you Alan. Loves you so much. Do you think I'm not hurt by all this? I'm so sick Alan. Even more pain than you feel."

"Then why don't we maintain this relationship?" Alan took off his embrace and turned Sofia's body before him.

"My parents prevented me from continuing this relationship. They don't want me to get hurt more by your mother's rejection."

Sofia stepped up and left. Her steps came to a halt right in front of Melisa's room door and looked back.

"If you're serious about what you're saying, reassure my parents that they'll let us get married." Sofia gives Alan a chance to mend their relationship.

A smile spread across Alan's lips. At least Sofia gave him a chance. Now he just had to think of a way to convince Sofia's parents. In this case, of course he really needs the role of Melisa. Because Sofia's parents are quite close to her.

The next day, baby Keisa is allowed to be brought home. All the residents of the house were very enthusiastic to welcome his arrival. Except Evelyn of course. But no one's got a problem with all that. And that doesn't diminish their happiness.

"Your baby is so beautiful Mel." Amora looks so anxious to see baby Melisa who she thinks is like a doll.

"Hurry to marry Aldo. And you're gonna have a pretty baby like this." Melisa Temptation.

"Rooks. Aldo's? Aldo used to stick to you that?" Ask Kevin who is very familiar with the name Aldo.

"Hm. Amora and Aldo are in a relationship."

"Look, it's as easy as she moves on from you. That means she's not really after you." Said Kevin who looked like he was being underestimated.

"It's not easy at all, Kevin. Aldo and I are in a relationship so that we can both move on from you. But this is really painful. You underestimate us." Inner Amora.

"Congratulations, may you be happy with your relationship with Aldo." Alan congratulated Amora. This was the first time he spoke affectionately to Amora. Even at the end of the sentence he kissed the head of Amora.
