Chapter 47 (Running Missions)

Alan seems to be more silent lately. Melisa also realizes that Alan is not okay. He tried to find out what caused his brother to look chaotic and there was no passion in cultivating his days.

"Amor." Melisa approached Amora who was sitting by the pool.

"Yes, why?" Amora answered without looking at Melisa. He seemed so busy typing on his phone.

"Can you leave your phone for a minute? I want to talk seriously."

"Wait, I'll reply to Aldo's message first. I don't want to make him wait for my message to come back." After she finished replying to the message, Amora smiled and put her phone in her sweater pocket.

"You messaged Aldo?"

"Yup. Oh my, haven't I told you that Aldo is officially my girlfriend?" Ask Amora with her comfort.

"What's? You and Aldo are dating. Are you kidding me?" Melisa is surprised and still has trouble believing that Amora and Aldo are dating. They only knew each other a few months ago.

She is now on a mission to bring back her brother's smile. He will start by meeting Sofia. Yeah, Melisa's pretty sure Sofia knows something.

Melisa heads to Sofia's residence with her personal driver. Although it is not yet hours to go home from work, Melisa wants to wait for Sofia at her home.

While at Sofia's house, she was a little surprised to find Sofia tidying up the plants in the front area of her house.

"Hi baby, are you here?" Sofia approached Melisa who got out of the car.

"Yes, I miss you so much."

"Me too." Sofia answered while hugging Melisa for quite a while.

"Isn't this not the office hours yet? Is sister off?" Melisa asked after taking a quick look at the watch on her left wrist.

"So, I stopped working."

"Why? Does my brother forbid you to work?"

"No, this is my wish." Sofia lowered her face.

"What's wrong? Did you guys fight?"

Sofia shook her head slowly.

"Me and Alan are done. There's no relationship between us anymore."

"Oh God's. I'm so sad to hear that. Alan's brother looks fucked up these few days. The day after tomorrow is your engagement."

"Of course, maybe we weren't meant to be together." Sofia smiled but her voice trembled as she tried to hold back her tears that were already pressing out.

"I promise, I will find a way out to unite your relationship again. I know very well that you love each other. Trust me brother, if love will always find his home."

"Darling, don't think about our problems. That's not good for your baby." Sofia cupped Melisa's cheek with both hands.

"I'm fine. Trust me." Melisa took Sofia's hand off her face and then took it deep.

"What made you break up with Sofia's sister? Don't you love each other?"

"Hmm, I went to his house. He looks so fucked up, just like you."

"Here you go, you don't think about brother's problems. You're pregnant, and you're testing in a few days, right? Don't mind too much."

"Well, I won't ask you again. But please smile. I haven't seen you smile since a few days ago." Melisa stood up and turned her body. He pulled both corners of Alan's lips together to form a smile.

Kevin laughed again with a reply from Melisa. Since becoming pregnant Melisa often says blatantly if you want to make love.
